thank you Grant sir i have been learning blender for 4 months now by your channel and it was a great source of knowledge for me . whenever i thought of any video topic i found that you had a video on that topic thank you sir
This video deserves more views and likes. I always had a hard time learning about sculpting but your tips have made a world of difference, it has actually made it an enjoyable experience 👍
Old video, but looks like it will really help me learn how to sculpt my own models for printing. I'm running 3.6.11 as the latest wont run on my laptop. Not sure if I will be able to keep up, but worth a shot.
This is so cool, thank you for sharing these videos and sculpts. going to get into this hobby myself, love all the tips for this, thumbs up. keep up the great work.
Wow! Thanks for this tutorial! I had no idea about this remesh function, seems to be a better workflow than the dyntopo workflow! Now excited to try and learn sculpting again!
@@EricLindahlJamnoran Oh nice, looking at the reviews it seems like a nice filament printer. I may get one of those for larger terrain pieces but to me they seem more work than I can deal with. I love how that one has an enclosure for safety and helps retain heat. Nice choice.
This is the best tutorial for creating models I have seen. The other methods people use confused me, but this seems so intuitive. I will absolutely try this method out and just in time for Christmas, too!!! Smiley Face Emoji.
Thanks! This tutorial came exactly in what i need in my studies. I just "Check" the level of quad modeling etc. But was get really messy when i start to model something more organic... My chars aways look too blocky... A lot of thanks for this incredible content. Like, this Crt+R and remesh workflow are awesome and i never heard of on another tutorials.
@@randomnumbers84269 yeah, Grant is a good teacher. I just wish I had time to practice sculpting, I have his paid character course but I can't get the time to finish it. But I'm sure that will change soon.
Hey Grant, can you do a tutorial on using a pen tablet with Blender and the sort of differences (vs using a mouse) and on creating an ergonomic setup? Maybe also talk through a couple of different tablet options at different price points?
Hi Grant, been learning sculpting from your videos, my biggest learning curve is the technique with the pen and tablet. Would you consider doing a video on techniques or at least doing a hand cam?
Just started my sculpting journey with a Wacom CTL4100 intous, think I’ll be ok to start with this and learn? Your videos really help me understand the tools I just need to put it into practice.
I usually do the silhouette block out in edit mode...if it's something more organic...I just dive straight into sculpting... Edit: I like that remesh... time update from 2.81!!
Damn 8:00 killed me... i used for last 2 weeks (since i started sculpting) subdivision rather than re-mesh thinkg [*] i ve ended up with 9.726.320 polygons :○
i always fail to understand how to make the mesh nice and smooth after I've done what i needed to. i want clear soft surfaces like YanSculpts but its a problem for me
I really DO HATE SCULPTING. Not only because of the insanely high poly count. I feel it goes by itself and the results are ALWAYS CRAP (in my case). And I don't feel like it's modelling at all. Or clever cheating by the usage of special maps. I feel like TRYING to squish out things, and what I get is ALWAYS a bag of TRASH. Nonetheless, I realize it's a mean tool, IF you can master it.
I enjoyed watching this one like hell. I must watch your other videos too. And also if you are interested in topics such as Photoshop, fantasy illustration & stuff like this you might want to visit #artsupplymaniacs . 😃
Why are they planning to do away with Dynotopo? It seems silly. If there are people who don't want to use it they can simply leave it deactivated; why take it away from people who want to use it?
@@cefalopodo5717 Yea, it is annoying, especially when you are new to Blender and the versions have been changing. I am trying to follow tutorials from a few months ago and the key strokes don't match. I went nuts trying to find apply.
The CTRL-R made my day.....I didn't knew about remesh XD
I didn't know they were getting rid of dyntopo. Now I'll learn these remesh options
I still think this channel is underrated. Thanks for helping the blender community!
Glad you think so!
Excellent now I can sculpt more than just an ovular blob.

I really enjoy learning from your videos. Each time I watch I always learn a new approach to creating projects.
You are amazing, sir, as always. Thank you!
That was really helpful for me.
Thank you so much for sharing this.
Great video, Grant. Those remesh shortcuts will a great help!

What printer did you get? I have been looking for 3 months and any of the mono-screens (2k and 4k) are sold out.

Been mentioned a couple off times. Think it interferes with current tools

Oooh my God!! That is look doesn't the dislike 😹😹👏👏
This remesh function is cool, would you say it's less intensive on the computer? Also how do you raise brush resolution without dyntopo?
its less intensive yes. in the brush detail settings in dynotop dropdown
@@grabbitt Thanks, Grant!
Wasn't dyntopo easier to use than remesh? It seems to me to be a change that will make it more difficult to sculpt, no?
Slightly
Will there be a follow-up where we will see how to add such details?
Yes next video
@@grabbitt okey, thanke for answers :)
Sir why you don't upload courses about rigging with key frames
See my playlists
@@grabbitt Yes I have seen animaytion series but that is too difficult to understand.. Can you please upload beginner level course
Just so people know, it is now just R not shift R to see the grid
Is the Remesh technique good for making a game character as well?
not really you need a proper retopo
