Portage is the word I think Jared was looking for. It is the practice of carrying water craft or cargo over land, either around an obstacle in a river, or between two bodies of water. I thought that British Columbia where I live is beautiful but Alaska well that just hits different. God Bess

Gorgeous scenery and looks like great fishing! Yeah, having to portage around hazardous sections is a pain - I kayaked and rafted in my younger days and was always grateful to have the guides there to help, and we were usually also helping out with the process too. I know we were all more than happy to be around it and on the water again! I love Jared's colorful shirt under his waders! ❤🏞❤
