- Following the #Taliban's return to power in #Afghanistan, the #Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik-i-Taliban, or TTP) have retaken their positions in areas along the border. With the return of Taliban fighters, the picturesque #SwatValley has once again descended into violence and fear. Targeted killings and kidnappings are now a daily occurrence, as well as terror attacks by the TTP. In the city of Mingora, the population is doing its best to resist the armed group. Those who do not support it are seen as traitors. Our correspondent reports.

The Taliban would now be history if Pakistan had authorised British and American forces in Afghanistan to pursue them into its territory, but instead they gave the Taliban safe haven. Well, Karma isn't just for their Hindu and Buddhist neighbours!
Peaceful religion doing peaceful things again.
Snake in their backyard.... Bites their own
What goes around comes around!
As you sow, you shall reap! They were providing safe haven for all these extremists and now reaping the benefits!!
When a country live eating religion....religion starts to eat them....
This is a Frankenstein's monster that was created by they themselves. No there is no reason to play the victim card.
You get what you give to your neighbours 👍
Its strange how it was impossible for Afghanistan to set up a modern government and stand up a national army. My guess is that corruption didn't allow, no matter how much money and support was made available.
You reap what you sow.
Notice how the girls were being taught in urdu and English instead of pashto. Swat Valley is 100% pashtun and yet the public schools in pakistan don't teach pashto in pashtun areas of pakistan. The government does this to other ethnic minorities as well internationally to slowly erase their language and culture by each generation. When a group loses their identity, it becomes easier to control them.
it's not "SUVAT".. it's SWAT.. as in Saraswati Valley ..
May Allah Bless TTP Taliban with Highest level in Jannah🤲☪🕋
Pakistan wanted " Islamic regime" in Kabul. Taliban now wishes something similar in Islamabad
The failed US efforts in that part of the world was not helped by the duplicity of the ISI, the Taliban are not Afhani any more than they are Pakistani. Their area of enforcement of Shariah Law is where they stand, so parts of Pakistan are ruled by the army and police where they stand.
Right on. Good for them for standing up to extremists.
Where is Malala? Chilling in bermingham and Oxford
What do you know, Ron Jeremy got lost in Pakistan.
this trade union head reminds me of the afghan warlord,he would have an entire convoy of bodyguard follow him around.
Surrendering this area to the terrorists probably won't help much.
