If you asked a question and didn’t get it answered I’m sorry! I wanted to keep the video under 40 minutes. However, I’ll try to get to anyone’s questions left in the comments on this video!
I had no idea Thor passed away :( I remember visiting that website in my early teens, and now I'm almost 30. It was truly a treasure trove of information. What is the URL for it now? I tried going to it but seems like the website is down?
Thank you for answering my question. As a kid in the 1960s I would use 1/72 guys as my Ant Man or Atom types when I would try to play Super Heroes. Also, it was about the only way to get Germans and Japanese for a long time. I finally got some German and Japanese Soldiers when I was like 9 and I only played with them until I was about 11.
14:54 Great answer with my question! It does boggle my mind they never made 3DO Army Men based off their own characters, especially for how distinct many of the Bravo company heroes are, with how Sarge's head is, you could easily tell it's him for example. And yep, you said my name right! ;)
@ I do have a handful of originals and their copies (I.e. Airfix and Timmee figures) but it really just depends on the availability. In most cases I’d rather have the originals though.
@@theplasticcommander I understand, there are companies that make copies that are better than the originals, here in Brazil it is only possible to have copies, to import from the United States it costs more than 150 dollars for something, so it is unfeasible but I can't do anything and I'm fine with my copies
If I could design a toy line I would love to do Male and Female Martial Artists. There are some who can be faked. There's one called the Karate chop guy, but he's supposed to actually be carrying another guy. There's also a couple of Police officers that can be faked. As a kid I would cut guns off of some Figures to make them into Super Heroes. That was the 1960s though.
I'm 55... a fave Christmas memory was when I was about 5... I got a bunch of plastic "Cowboys & Indians" "Green Army Men" and a box of Lincoln Logs... many a battle erupted that was politically and chronologically incorrect...
@deandavisusa For a lot of years my Green Army Men massacred my Cowboys and Indians. They had no one else to fight! Very few of the Indians even had guns, so the Cowboys had to help the. They all died like 20 times each because Winchesters and 6 shooters are no match for machine guns, bazooka, flamethrowers, m-16s, or even automatic pistols.
I tried to find the original timme toys army men from the 50s on the internet, nothing, they have been completely phased out by the BMC ones. Good luck finding some!
Sometime in the future show how the army men put pimento in the green olives and also at your convenience show how the little old army man puts the lights out in the refrigerator after your late-night snack.

It’s kind of ridiculous they didn’t. Even a bag of them with like just the main characters would’ve been so awesome.
Very well made video, I loved it
Pink :3
I love the Plastic Commander character persona. I wonder if you're like that in real life.
Pretty much he is, just a bit quieter.
I miss the army men homepage, I used to be on it all the time when I was a kid and I was part of the Yahoo group back when those were a thing.
I didn't even know about this video but it's still very good, when did you tell us to ask questions ?
I posted two shorts and had a section on the discord dedicated to it but if you have any go ahead and ask em here
@@theplasticcommander I haven't seen the shorts, sorry, my question is: do you intend to have the original soldiers and their copies ?

Thank you for answering my question, you should invest in a 3D printer.
