I was stationed out in the Aleutians on Adak Island with the Navy in 77-78. Great Halibut fishing and that summer of 77 we had a great salmon run. It almost made being 1000 miles out the chain worth the pain of remote duty.
Hands down my favorite channel to watch! Of course I get the notification on my way to work! Guess I already know what im watching when i get off! 😊 Edit: home from work, gotta say new intro is dope
Great fish guys. My first legal was out in hermosa beach in SoCal. I caught it a week ago. And I have always wanted to catch a Giant Alaskan halibut!!!!
Local Knowledge Fishing Show yeah I went fishing in Alaska, caught some decent rockfish. But I can catch giant rockfish here in redondo beach. And the halibut fishing is great on some days!!
It blows my mind how this channel only has 22k subs!! Time for Rush and/or Ali to wear a bikini.. No never mind!! Just go hunt a deer or hog.. LOL, By far one of the better fishing channels out there!!
They Crackerjack guys like to shoot the big ones to make them easier to control. "Gut Gaffing" a halibut is a standard technique. There's no meat there to get damaged.
This has to be the most versatile fishing channel on UA-cam! We never know what you guy's are going to catch! Excellent video!
thank you! we really appreciate that. we proud ourselves of fishing other fisheries and sharing the knowledge
Fantastic trip !!! One that you'd enjoy and repeat .
Thanks John. Don't forget to sub to our channel!
Looks like another dream trip strait up. Keep em comin fellas.
Will do! thanks for the support
I love this show. I'm also a San Diego native and love fishing. Going out tomorrow for yellowfin.
Good luck! We had some of our co workers out there over the weekend. Size 4 hook, 15-20 lb line seemed to do the trick for the yellowfins
Plz buy me a reel lol I’m poor hard to come up with reel and rod and I’m tryna catch my first ever tuna
Very cool video! My family keeps our boat in Whittier, Alaska and we love to fish for halibut and rockfish.
Thanks for watching!

What kind of lures were you guys using ?
Scampis and Flat fall style lures.
I so wanna catch Halibut. Hate paying $15+per pound. Best tasting Ever!
It's not any cheaper to catch your own! Good stuff for sure.
I've a friend that has a brother-in-law that fishes Alaska for halibut commercially and said that the halibut cheeks taste like scallops.
He's not lying. They are delicious!
If I'm kayaking and I catch a Hali or tuna does that make me angler or captain
Yes.
That looks bigger than the _charter average_
WE did ok!

Ik
Can I come next time?
If you can fit in a suitcase!
25lb yellow eye rock fish lol
Camera doesnt do these fish justice, just like groupers. They always look smaller on TV. Plus we are liars. :)
Why don't you try those Halibut Harpoons at least on the bigger fish, you will probably cut down on your Gut Gaffing
They Crackerjack guys like to shoot the big ones to make them easier to control. "Gut Gaffing" a halibut is a standard technique. There's no meat there to get damaged.
Why on earth did you guys go to Alaska for halibut when they're in your back yard in So Cal
We like big halibutts and we can not lie.
catch a goliath grouper and try to catch a great white WWE superstar Mark Henry
We will work on it!
I am 10 and I can dead lift 100 lbs
