Ali and Rush join up with their Australian friend to go kite fishing with flying fish for bluefin tuna. Damon Olsen owner of Nomad Tackle joins them targeting bluefin tuna out of San Diego. The Eastern Pacific blue fin tuna have been around but have been playing hard to get so the guys will need to use every trick they have in their book to get the Nomad lure designer his prize, even if it takes flying a kite with flying fish to entice a bite.

Keep the kick ass productions going! Best fishing tv show in years. Our bluefin here in new jersey has also been very productive last few years. We have had good luck trolling baits down 50-100feet down along with few surface baits. Amazing how much i have picked up watching different styles of fishing. Keep up the good work!

Time for a flying fish lure from Nomad? For a guy who has chartered what is pretty much considered one of the best/diverse fisheries on the planet (Coral Sea) for most of his life to be that fired up over a catch speaks a lot about how exciting it is!
We can't wait to see what @nomadlures creates!

We been using a lot of Nomad DTX lures down here in the Caribbean on the island of Roatan, wahoo loves em.
Got 3rd place in the Roatan International fishing tournament the other weekend using a Nomad dtx 200mm in the nuclear color trout color.

Just discovered your channel today, and it brought back a lot of memories of growing up in Southern California and fishing in areas close to where you are fishing. I mainly focused on Yellowtail, for I never had the opportunity to fish for Bluefin Tuna, or even Yellowfin tuna. Fantastic channel, I look forward to more adventures!

This method of fishing is good but ihave to share some idea in which you can catch the fish easily without having hard time to bring it on. When the bait is drug you must put a voi on the line and be sure the voi is not large enough so that the line will not cut. If u think that the fish is large enough than 2oo kilos,u must put the 1st voi can resist 10 kls then put the second 20 and the last 30 thats it. try to play the line, when the line are not playing enough that mean the fish is already tired then u can pull it the line without a hard time. But you know appriximate size of the fish so that u can select the voyancy of the voi u want to put on the line so that the line will never cut,thats the ancient techniques but they used more larger than that its because the fish in the past are more bigger and hevier on what we saw right now. Another tip u must go fishing in the right time of the day and season of it so that the tuna can breed more enough to the ocean.
