To the day I die I will remember the time I cut highschool in order to make it home to craft my haubergeon +1 on Iceday New moon and whatever other minor factors I boiled down to guarantee a +1. Proudest moment of my 14 year old life. Crafting strats are 100% true. We know *for a fact* that things like “fire crystal crafts get a +1 chance bonus on ice day” and that the moon phases affect it. Iirc new moon makes it so the “break” can go up but “+1 bonus goes up” whereas full moon increases success rate but decreases +1 chances. It goes way deeper too. The ffxi devs were insane. I am completely convinced there is a way to guarantee +1 crafts on any item it simply requires down to the second precision on in game Timelapse and geographical concepts. Never underestimate FFXI devs. For fucks sake they made a boss so memorable I named by online handle after it. 🤔😂
One comment worth mentioning-- try to target synths that have demand. Alchemy, cooking, and woodworking create consumable items that are gone once a player uses them (food, potions, arrows). There will always be some demand for those items, so we need a crafting economy to support them. Expect there to be many other players doing the same thing you're doing, and the AH price will reflect this. Try not to get discouraged.
Blacksmith is the only true craft. Goldsmithing is for payfags and woodworking just doesn’t get it. The only craft who gets black smithing is fishermen who got a Liushang _as God intended_ 😈
I was thrown off at first, wondering where the skill-up points suddenly came from, since in the old system, you'd get the skill-up mid-crafting instead of by the very end. Also, it may just be from the limited examples here, but it seems that success gives a steady 0.1 and failures give nothing? I kind of miss when you'd see that 0.3 ~ 0.4 pop up in chat, then the synthesis would fail anyway, but leave you with enough materials for another craft anyway. 👍
I know there is a calculation that determines the amount of skill up. I just never learned it. I do know you shouldn't go above 5 levels of skill with out getting syth support or have guild point items. if you try to skill up with anything under 3 levels difference from my experience can take a lot of syths.
You should always do the activity that makes the most money / time. This is never: gathering materials for a specific craft. Just make the most money / time, and buy materials.
I tend to immediately disregard all the advice of someone who says "But you mined it so it's free". Show's they can't fully comprehend economic concepts.
Really look into what you are crafting btw, my friend was unknowingly crafting a non era synth only for them to reset his craft to lev 0..bit unfair imo but it's their server... "play and find out" lol
The compass isn't needed. Been completely debunked directly by the FFXI devs. What direction you face or day of the week make literally no difference in success.
private servers have an option to toggle day/direction/moon phase to affect synth rates. the only way to know for sure is for the devs to flat out tell you it's active.
@@deadmemegamming but people are soloing bst pets in these private servers. They are soloing some of the hardest nms with bio and kite strategies. Yet your avg player using a trust to soloing something bothers you? How exactly did they ruin the game
@@ImmortalDraylo you didn't have to really talk to other players. like in horizonxi to do rank 3 I had to make friends and work something out with other players. once trusts came along no one wanted to group for anything you can use trusts for. I didn't want to pay a sub for what became an online single player game.
@@markmessi9020 wrong. The private server is free, see how many of them would be there if there was a sub cost. Nobody agrees it was the best, in fact in my opinion it was shit

can do /lastsynth on each line to do more per button hit
yes very true, a friend from my LS point this out to me after watching my video. Thanks you.

your right consumables are a good route for passive income.

one thing that's important to note that everyone always seems to overlook is stacks are 12, but people often price it as though stacks are 10.

How many crafting levels can you be above a craft till it no longer gives you skills or level ups
Might want to explain advanced synthesis support from the guilds.
Once I get a craft high enough I will show it for sure.

Good to know! I am using a crafting guild that was made in 2005 to decide what to make. so I am hoping that doesn't happen to me.
Does maxing fishing stop you from maxing a craft?
not sure, I know some private servers do that. Good question for their discord.
no, the 70-100 limit thing is only for crafts, not fishing.

I have been testing it out the last few weeks. I am in that camp now I don't believe the crafting myths made it into horizon.

Retail XI is more fun
I haven't played since they added the trusts, it ruined the game for me. haven't been back so you might be right.

@@deadmemegamming this is the right response right here. Era FFXI is in fact the best version of the game. 4200 plus players agree
