      Heard rumor they caught 14 yesterday. That's productive.

    There's alot more to this than just grabbing a bag of frozen anchovies and hitting the pier with your rod.

    Does he catch the bait or buy if so where

      He bought bait in Fisherman's wharf. When the bait are around you can use your sabiki rig to catch anchovy and smaller jack smelt for the halibut.

    As nice as it is to see someone catching a halibut, let Cesar know he's way over the allowed limit for lines in the water. It's two lines per person on a pier. He's got 4 rods and 1 crab pot in the water.

      I did ask him but he didn't don't exactly know allowed lines. I think he looked at it online and adjusted later after he caught the fish. I don't think he did it deliberately as he even had a crab gauge on him to check for crabs. Good observation though. Thanks. 🤙🏽🤙🏽

      I think he's good. If he was on a boat, he'd be capped at two rods. I'm not 100% sure, but the rules are different when sportfishing on a boat.

    Nice video. I went for a walk there yesterday. Friendly people willing to talk and show me their catch. Thinking of taking my nephew who is showing a slight interest in fishing. I haven't fished for decades. Are the crabs and fish caught there safe to eat?

    • @BackFishing
      @BackFishing  2 місяці тому

      Safe to eat? Yes. Gotta follow guidelines on consumption on seafood. It's posted online or on the pier premises.
