I bought A Speed Queen washer and dryer in 2002 with the stainless steel tubs. Picked them over others because when I was younger they always the commercial washers used at the laundromats. Still have them both and never had to have them repaired and they are still going strong.
I am so happy I have the 2017 model. Speed Queen better get there act together quickly. I love my washer dryer and moved my old front loaders downstairs. Thanks for a great video.
I own the 2017 Speed Queens...electronic controls, they replaced my Maytag Neptune set after the bearings went on the washer. They are the best of what is offered today. Absolutely no issues and unbelievable cleaning ability. So happy I didn't get the 2018 models.
@@fargeeks Yes they do, but what you’re missing is that the TC5000 models prior to 2018 don’t use circuit boards like the 2019 and newer TC5000 models. Thus making the newer models a liability because of the all the electronic components. They’re still built like a tank but once the circuit board goes, you need repairs…

I don't know if you've taken this thing apart yet but the main difference in the 2017 model and the 2018 model are the motor and transmission assemblies. The 2017 model has a very stout transmission and the motors are beastly. I think the transmission set up is the reason these models wash so much better. With the trans the inner tub and the agitator can turn independently. The way it's set up is that the trans turns the agitator about a quarter turn before the tub starts to spin with it. So it can turn the agitator back and forth without the inner tub ever moving. It has brake pads to help stop the inner tubs. The 2018 models do not have a transmission at all, the belts for the drive are stretch fit instead of having a tensioner pulley like the '17's. Alliance knows that the reviews for the 18's are basically unanimously bad, but they are still plowing ahead with them anyway. We have had so many problems with them. All of the people in testing and repair complain about them daily lol.
I wonder if Speed Queen realizes how many sales they lost by denying their mistake in 2018 and treating you horribly for bringing it to light. They should have thanked you! Well, they lost another sale with me, because yesterday I bought the Maytag Commercial Washer (model: MWVP585GW) because of you and I am delighted with it.

@@brendame Yes, I still have it. Bought mine from SARA Appliances & Electronics in Sugarland, TX. We did have to get it repaired once already….a faulty fill control valve (kept leaking hot water into the tub when machine was off), but other than that…it’s been great. It’s not a quiet machine, and I do miss the capacity that our giant front load machine had, but I don’t miss the problems that all those fancy electronics were giving us.
I always recommend Whirlpool made direct drives. Cheap and easy to fix, reliable enough to use for coin op machines and still cleans clothes. Mine is almost 30 years old. My whirlpool dryer made Kenmore is 50 years old with original Avocado paint!
Thankfully, you can buy a TC5 (classic wash) instead of the TR3, TR5, or TR7 (perfect wash models) today. I bought the TC5 recently, & I am impressed by its performance.

I'm glad I bought my AWN432 back in 2016. It replaced a 9-year old LG front loader that had a dying circuit board (that was no longer available). The 2016 Speed Queen is the best top loader that I've had since I bought my first machine back in 1980. The wash action of the newly designed Speed Queen is pathetic compared to the AWN432. I am also not pleased that SQ gave you so much trouble when you dared to tell the truth. Thanks for making these videos!
just bought a new AWN set with dials from a small furniture store yesterday. we already had a set we bought new about 2.5 years ago. I felt like I won the lottery. they had the new model sitting next to it. the cabinet, tub and agitator are identical. obviously, what's on the inside isn't. the dryer still seems to be the same except for the cosmetics of the controls.
I wish we saw this video before we purchased our 2018 Speed Queen. We've had the 2018 SQ for the past 3 months. It was to replace a 1990s Kenmore that worked very well for us, but unfortunately we thought it wasn't worth it to repair (in hindsight, we should have with with the repair). We are a family of 4, with a toddler and a baby, and I can tell you that we are extremely frustrated with this new washer. In fact, I found this video when trawling through looking for solutions. The 2018 SQ does nothing for us. We don't even have very dirty clothes, just non-oily baby food, light dirt and soil from playing outside, and crumbs to wash off and it doesn't even do that properly. We're having to hand-wash stuff either before or after each wash. Stains that haven't been washed properly again and again have gotten moldy and we've had to discard bibs and articles of baby clothes that have lasted us 3 years and 2 other washing machines. We were lucky that we went to an excellent dealer that went out of their way to be helpful. They sent technicians over twice, the second time to upgrade the circuit board to the latest version 6 (didn't make a difference). We finally worked something out where they're going to replace our 2018 with a warehouse-damaged 2017 SQ after replacing the damaged panel, at no charge to us. From my conversation with the technician, the 2018 SQ has been problematic for numerous customers. The service manager, who has been assisting us for the past month, confirms this. Our dealer, who's been in business for over 50 years, will no longer sell Speed Queen due to their issues. To anyone reading this, don't make the same mistake we did. Stay far away from it.
Just wanted post an update. Three months ago we replaced our 2018 Speed Queen with the 2017 Speed Queen (see above). After spending first 3 months with the 2018 and then the last 3 months with the 2017, I can tell you the difference is night and day -- absolutely polar opposites. The 2018 was utterly trash. We have had nothing but a great laundry experience with the 2017, with no issue of having to re-wash or hand-wash. Everything comes out clean. We are very happy with the 2017. It is absolutely mind-boggling that Speed Queen would commit corporate suicide by releasing the junk that is the 2018.

You would not have soap stains ever if you applied your soap powder or liquid 1st while the washer is filling the tub then allow the washer to begin the agitation, once the soap & water mix add your clothes & don't overload your washer with a abundance of clothes. Also giving your soiled pants a 2nd wash in the 2017 model isn't fair to the 2018 model since the fact remains the pants received 2 washes.
I have the Speed Queen TC5 model (transmission/real agitator) and I run so many different tests…… it doesn’t matter where or when you put the detergent in a proper Speed Queen with trans/agitator, it scrubs them clean.
I don't use either pods or liquid. I use old fashioned soap powder (Gain) and it does an excellent job. I was laughing at a friend of mine recently who was saying she used pods because liquid detergents had more water in them. I said, My detergent doesn't have ANY water in it, lol.
Thanks for doing the videos. I got a used 2015 speed queen set and love them so far. My father also purchased a 2017 set to replace a GE filter flow set since the redesigned modeled obviously can’t clean.

Mr Gene, Try loading the new model by laying the pants horizontally around the tub stretched out instead of between the agitator vanes. I believe that because it's an HE washer it will perform better that way. It's worth a try.
I am no laundry expert, but would it not all make sense to have clothes being run a second time through any washer to come out cleaner after the second wash? How about running the exact same test in reverse to see what the outcome may be?
The new 2018 speed queen has the same horrible agitator action that my LG top loader had (which I pushed the to curb and put a free sign on). I'm very happy to have a 2016 Speed Queen Top Loader.
Thank you for posting this. We'll be in the market for a new agitator washer soon, since I have had nothing but disappointment from HE washers over the past 10 years. We won't be buying a new speed queen after seeing this.

Hi, we bought the AWNE92SP113TW and the matching dryer after watching your videos. Very informative! Thanx. But we are having a problem with the washer. It was making a squeak while agitating. I discovered that the tube would tilt forward to the front of the machine. There is a styrofoam pad on the inside of the front access panel, the tub was squeaking on it during agitation. The repair guy took the agitator off and greased the bearing in there due to a service bulletin. This didn't stop it, he came back and replaced all the suspension springs and a friction ring under the tub. The tub still tilts forward against the front of the machine during agitation, but the sound has changed tone a bit. It is now like a cyclic vibration. It agitation mode the tube is way off center and touching the inside of the front cover. Have you seen this before? We are worried they can't fix it and if replacement comes down the road on this, that we will only be able to get a 2018 model. We bought in Feb 2018. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Hi, Talked with SQ today. They gave me the part number of the washer. I leveled the washer today. I talked with them about the tub tilting forward. They said it should be about level. I ran the machine through a cycle and with just water, in agitation, it moves fully forward against the front of the cabinet. About 2 inches of shift measured with a caliper. You cannot push it any further forward, it shifts fully forward and stops. Relocates back to the center when it spins. This seems screwed up to me? Like maybe the base is tweaked.
How do you have time to run your store, do reviews and get any work done. We never have less than 80 service calls waiting. I can't even get on the computer until on Sundays.
Any clothes will become cleaner on a second wash. I bought the 2018 TR7. It is in my rental until May then it will be my turn to try it out and see if i really like it and if it gets my clothes clean. I'm also interested in seeing if i have soap residue left on my clothes. I don't overdue my laundry soap so hopefully i will not have that problem. I hope i did the right thing purchasing this.
I was looking at another channel which the poster had some very interesting opinions regarding SQ as per moving away from the consumer market and basically finding a way to off load parts with this machine. If they want to be in the consumer market they would have not made the machine they are offering today as a top loader with such bad agitation and cleaning. They would have done the consumer better by not making an expensive well built machine that doesn't clean very dirty clothes very well.
I wished I had purchased the 2017 model unboxed I'm sure was still available back when I purchased my 2018 if I knew the 2017 has better washing performance and probably saved several hundred dollars buying the last years model.

@ Jeffrey Caban , Are you Euros really that dumb? Front loaders don't use enough water or scrub the clothes nearly as much. They develop odor and seal problems. And you're judging based on this new SQ design shown here. Most conventional top loaders don't work like this one. You want to see a real conventional top loader kick ass? Look up the MVWP575GW washer. The FLs sold in the USA don't have the features that European models do ( boil wash, centrifugal soak or durable construction)
It's interesting. Our machine leans back ever so slightly to have the tub be totally centered. Though I think it's level side to side. With those adjustments, it's perfect.
Sharkie626 me too... The whole tub turns with the agitator in the 2018's. With the previous design, there is just a little back and forth movement... The agitator is doing all the work.
Next time, press those knees on the pants onto an open bottle of liquid detergent and turn the bottle upside down for a moment. Or you can smear these spots with dishwashing liquid. You can also do this on the shirt collar. Dirty fat edges go away completely. With a fully loaded front-loading washing machine, I always do a 45-minute pre-wash with a main wash program and fill my drum half full with warm or hot water using a hose via the detergent compartment. After 45 minutes I cancel the program so that the water is pumped out. Then I select spin - water is pumped out and I spin the laundry briefly for 3 minutes. Then delete the program again, have the water pumped out and start again with the main program and let it run through. So you can wash large amounts of laundry completely clean. For powder, a little more than a dosing cup for the pre-wash, for the main wash, 1 dosing cup is enough. With liquid detergent, 1.5 dosing cups for the prewash and 1 dosing cup for the main wash.
Speed Queen "home" model washers will now take Alliance Laundry/Speed Queen down the SAME path that Maytag went down with the Maytag "Neptune" washer! Very tragic!!
Maytag Neptune front loader did great job cleaning . I had one and it was great at cleaning my clothes. Unfortunately it brought Maytag down due too all the complaints
SO WTF SHOULD i DO. My ge washer that I love but am on second one, returned after fighting for 1 year because electronics kept failing, got a new one less than a year and electronics are failing again. I want the old speed queen my sister has it loves it and other people I know also. Now the new ones are crap. I have been looking into the light commercial ones that seem to be like the old ones but they dont have a fill level which I want. What what what would you recommend. I have even been looking for used without any luck. What would anyone suggest to buy. I need extra rinse, water level and a good solid performer. Help and thank you :)
2018 speed Queen is a HE washer when in eco mode, If he used a pod like he said he did and if it was in eco mode it most likely wont even get the water hot enough to melt the pod before its done washing which will leave soap stains. Also the 2018 washer did a pre soak for the 2017, use the 2017 model first with same test and then use heavy duty mode in 2018 (like he said he did with 2017, but notice he never mentions what mode he used with 2018 model) I bet they come out cleaner the second time. One more thing, Speed Quenn is giving a longer warranty on the 2018 model, its now a full 7 year warranty, it would be stupid of them to make a cheaper washer but give a longer warranty. Dont be fooled by everything you see on the internet people, think about it.
Who trusts consumer reports? They recommend Maytag? Seriously? I would use grandmas washboard at the creek first. If you say you did use heavy duty that's great but now what soap? Looks like the 2017 model the soap suds were up immediately and never saw any suds with the 2018. I just want a very fair comparison. I can see the agitator is different and that can make a difference but how much? SQ actually claimed better then before.
I would hope so it just looked like it sure had a lot more suds on the 2018 model. Still all in all a better review would be use same type clothes in both machines at same time. Any time you wash a load twice it will almost always come out cleaner. It's pretty confusing for people that are looking at buying their next washer to watch reviews like this. Again the only difference in these two washers that have anything at all to do with the actual cleaning is the shape of the agitator.
This is a bad, bias test. You wash the same pants twice and the second wash and thus second machine gets the advantage because the first wash is more like a pre-treatment. Secondly, we sense that load size is too high, demonstrated by the soap residue in the first wash. Thirdly, what appears as a petroleum-based stains should be pre-treated to get effective results. I would encourage every consumer to take a high school or college course in statistics to understand what makes for a valid comparison between two or more competing products. Unlike algebra and calculus, its intuitive and fairly easy to grasp and you’ll feel more confident as a consumer.

Just playing devils advocate but in all fairness the soil level of those pants that you put in there, that washer should’ve been on heavy or Max in order to actually clean those pants I’m not saying it would’ve made much of a difference but I’m sure it would’ve made some difference the whole purpose of having soil level options. No I’m not a scientist but you did in essence get a prewash in the 2018 speed queen and then wash them in a 2017 speed queen for the wash cycle so it’s not really a totally fair test I mean I’m just saying hopefully I’m not going to get attacked for these comments.
LF do a comparison wash stained with mustard on it using both machines and the same amount in each machine do a full load with a full tub of water in both and then lets see which one took out the most??? Thanks...
I am not impressed with either machines. Try them in a front load speed queen washer. I have a front load (not a speed queen) that would have brought all of them clean
This test was interesting but could be much better and more valid if you started out with equally soiled garments (would have to be prepared artificially) and ran them separately in each machine. IMO the 2017 would do a better job, but washing them twice and saying "look it got cleaner after the second wash" really proves nothing and is not a scientific test.
Carl Ryan Without a doubt the 2017 wouldve cleaned just as well without the first wash. On top of that it doesn't change the fact that the clothes were covered in soap stains after the 2018 washer.
Yes, another test could have been to wash all the clothes in the 2018 and then split the clothes into two groups and run one half in the 2017 and the other in the 2018. That eliminates the effect of cumulative washes.
Carl Ryan if you watched the video then you saw the soap stains. I've seen the last generation wash over the last 3 years and not only has it never left soap stains but it has never left dirt on the knees like the 2018 model. If you want proof buy the 2018 yourself. Enjoy the well built washer that doesn't wash.

Anita buy the 2019 model TC5 Classic Speed Queen. It’s the same as the excellent 2017 model. Stay away from the TR line built in 2018 with that ridiculous tub design. Eugene has the video out on it. Buy before Dec 31, 2019 and you will get the in-home10 yr parts and labor warranty. You’ll get a washer built to last 25 yrs with a great warranty.

You would not have soap stains ever if you applied your soap powder or liquid 1st while the washer is filling the tub then allow the washer to begin the agitation, once the soap & water mix add your clothes & don't overload your washer with a abundance of clothes. Also giving your soiled pants a 2nd wash in the 2017 model isn't fair to the 2018 model since the fact remains the pants received 2 washes.
I never suggested you change your detergent only the way you apply it.
I have the Speed Queen TC5 model (transmission/real agitator) and I run so many different tests…… it doesn’t matter where or when you put the detergent in a proper Speed Queen with trans/agitator, it scrubs them clean.
One thing that I don't agree upon is using Pods, they don't do as good a job and cost more. Maybe you could do a video on Pods vs Liquid?
I don't use either pods or liquid. I use old fashioned soap powder (Gain) and it does an excellent job. I was laughing at a friend of mine recently who was saying she used pods because liquid detergents had more water in them. I said, My detergent doesn't have ANY water in it, lol.
Thanks for doing the videos. I got a used 2015 speed queen set and love them so far. My father also purchased a 2017 set to replace a GE filter flow set since the redesigned modeled obviously can’t clean.

Mr Gene, Try loading the new model by laying the pants horizontally around the tub stretched out instead of between the agitator vanes. I believe that because it's an HE washer it will perform better that way. It's worth a try.
I am no laundry expert, but would it not all make sense to have clothes being run a second time through any washer to come out cleaner after the second wash? How about running the exact same test in reverse to see what the outcome may be?

The new 2018 speed queen has the same horrible agitator action that my LG top loader had (which I pushed the to curb and put a free sign on). I'm very happy to have a 2016 Speed Queen Top Loader.
Thank you for posting this. We'll be in the market for a new agitator washer soon, since I have had nothing but disappointment from HE washers over the past 10 years. We won't be buying a new speed queen after seeing this.

Hi, we bought the AWNE92SP113TW and the matching dryer after watching your videos. Very informative! Thanx. But we are having a problem with the washer. It was making a squeak while agitating. I discovered that the tube would tilt forward to the front of the machine. There is a styrofoam pad on the inside of the front access panel, the tub was squeaking on it during agitation. The repair guy took the agitator off and greased the bearing in there due to a service bulletin. This didn't stop it, he came back and replaced all the suspension springs and a friction ring under the tub. The tub still tilts forward against the front of the machine during agitation, but the sound has changed tone a bit. It is now like a cyclic vibration. It agitation mode the tube is way off center and touching the inside of the front cover. Have you seen this before? We are worried they can't fix it and if replacement comes down the road on this, that we will only be able to get a 2018 model. We bought in Feb 2018. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Hi, Talked with SQ today. They gave me the part number of the washer. I leveled the washer today. I talked with them about the tub tilting forward. They said it should be about level. I ran the machine through a cycle and with just water, in agitation, it moves fully forward against the front of the cabinet. About 2 inches of shift measured with a caliper. You cannot push it any further forward, it shifts fully forward and stops. Relocates back to the center when it spins. This seems screwed up to me? Like maybe the base is tweaked.
the agi-tub system isn't new; a frigidare skinny mini spacemaker washer and dryer's washer uses the agi-tub systenm too
How do you have time to run your store, do reviews and get any work done. We never have less than 80 service calls waiting. I can't even get on the computer until on Sundays.
Any clothes will become cleaner on a second wash. I bought the 2018 TR7. It is in my rental until May then it will be my turn to try it out and see if i really like it and if it gets my clothes clean. I'm also interested in seeing if i have soap residue left on my clothes. I don't overdue my laundry soap so hopefully i will not have that problem. I hope i did the right thing purchasing this.
I was looking at another channel which the poster had some very interesting opinions regarding SQ as per moving away from the consumer market and basically finding a way to off load parts with this machine. If they want to be in the consumer market they would have not made the machine they are offering today as a top loader with such bad agitation and cleaning. They would have done the consumer better by not making an expensive well built machine that doesn't clean very dirty clothes very well.
I wished I had purchased the 2017 model unboxed I'm sure was still available back when I purchased my 2018 if I knew the 2017 has better washing performance and probably saved several hundred dollars buying the last years model.

@ Jeffrey Caban , Are you Euros really that dumb? Front loaders don't use enough water or scrub the clothes nearly as much. They develop odor and seal problems. And you're judging based on this new SQ design shown here. Most conventional top loaders don't work like this one. You want to see a real conventional top loader kick ass? Look up the MVWP575GW washer. The FLs sold in the USA don't have the features that European models do ( boil wash, centrifugal soak or durable construction)
Look at that. The tub was still indexing, and the clothes STILL turned over. There is really no comparison!
It's interesting. Our machine leans back ever so slightly to have the tub be totally centered. Though I think it's level side to side. With those adjustments, it's perfect.

Next time, press those knees on the pants onto an open bottle of liquid detergent and turn the bottle upside down for a moment. Or you can smear these spots with dishwashing liquid. You can also do this on the shirt collar. Dirty fat edges go away completely.
With a fully loaded front-loading washing machine, I always do a 45-minute pre-wash with a main wash program and fill my drum half full with warm or hot water using a hose via the detergent compartment.
After 45 minutes I cancel the program so that the water is pumped out.
Then I select spin - water is pumped out and I spin the laundry briefly for 3 minutes.
Then delete the program again, have the water pumped out and start again with the main program and let it run through.
So you can wash large amounts of laundry completely clean.
For powder, a little more than a dosing cup for the pre-wash,
for the main wash, 1 dosing cup is enough.
With liquid detergent, 1.5 dosing cups for the prewash
and 1 dosing cup for the main wash.

What water temp do you use with the pods? You should at least use warm. I'm not a fan of pods at all.
Speed Queen "home" model washers will now take Alliance Laundry/Speed Queen down the SAME path that Maytag went down with the Maytag "Neptune" washer! Very tragic!!
To be fair, they are still huge in the commercial market. They probably won't suffer like Maytag did.
SQ top-load washers in the commercial (laundromat) market (if made like the 2018 home models) will cause Alliance to lose millions of $$$'s too!
Maytag Neptune front loader did great job cleaning . I had one and it was great at cleaning my clothes. Unfortunately it brought Maytag down due too all the complaints

SO WTF SHOULD i DO. My ge washer that I love but am on second one, returned after fighting for 1 year because electronics kept failing, got a new one less than a year and electronics are failing again. I want the old speed queen my sister has it loves it and other people I know also. Now the new ones are crap. I have been looking into the light commercial ones that seem to be like the old ones but they dont have a fill level which I want. What what what would you recommend. I have even been looking for used without any luck. What would anyone suggest to buy. I need extra rinse, water level and a good solid performer. Help and thank you :)

2018 speed Queen is a HE washer when in eco mode, If he used a pod like he said he did and if it was in eco mode it most likely wont even get the water hot enough to melt the pod before its done washing which will leave soap stains. Also the 2018 washer did a pre soak for the 2017, use the 2017 model first with same test and then use heavy duty mode in 2018 (like he said he did with 2017, but notice he never mentions what mode he used with 2018 model) I bet they come out cleaner the second time. One more thing, Speed Quenn is giving a longer warranty on the 2018 model, its now a full 7 year warranty, it would be stupid of them to make a cheaper washer but give a longer warranty. Dont be fooled by everything you see on the internet people, think about it.
Who trusts consumer reports? They recommend Maytag? Seriously? I would use grandmas washboard at the creek first. If you say you did use heavy duty that's great but now what soap? Looks like the 2017 model the soap suds were up immediately and never saw any suds with the 2018. I just want a very fair comparison. I can see the agitator is different and that can make a difference but how much? SQ actually claimed better then before.
I would hope so it just looked like it sure had a lot more suds on the 2018 model. Still all in all a better review would be use same type clothes in both machines at same time. Any time you wash a load twice it will almost always come out cleaner. It's pretty confusing for people that are looking at buying their next washer to watch reviews like this. Again the only difference in these two washers that have anything at all to do with the actual cleaning is the shape of the agitator.

This is a bad, bias test. You wash the same pants twice and the second wash and thus second machine gets the advantage because the first wash is more like a pre-treatment. Secondly, we sense that load size is too high, demonstrated by the soap residue in the first wash. Thirdly, what appears as a petroleum-based stains should be pre-treated to get effective results. I would encourage every consumer to take a high school or college course in statistics to understand what makes for a valid comparison between two or more competing products. Unlike algebra and calculus, its intuitive and fairly easy to grasp and you’ll feel more confident as a consumer.
So what about the models that are out now? Are they like the 2017 models??

Just playing devils advocate but in all fairness the soil level of those pants that you put in there, that washer should’ve been on heavy or Max in order to actually clean those pants I’m not saying it would’ve made much of a difference but I’m sure it would’ve made some difference the whole purpose of having soil level options. No I’m not a scientist but you did in essence get a prewash in the 2018 speed queen and then wash them in a 2017 speed queen for the wash cycle so it’s not really a totally fair test I mean I’m just saying hopefully I’m not going to get attacked for these comments.
But even so, it won't change the fact that the first machine left soap stains on the pants.

To get rid of the detergent stains you must run a second rinse cycle.

I am not impressed with either machines. Try them in a front load speed queen washer. I have a front load (not a speed queen) that would have brought all of them clean

This test was interesting but could be much better and more valid if you started out with equally soiled garments (would have to be prepared artificially) and ran them separately in each machine. IMO the 2017 would do a better job, but washing them twice and saying "look it got cleaner after the second wash" really proves nothing and is not a scientific test.
Carl Ryan Without a doubt the 2017 wouldve cleaned just as well without the first wash. On top of that it doesn't change the fact that the clothes were covered in soap stains after the 2018 washer.

Yes, another test could have been to wash all the clothes in the 2018 and then split the clothes into two groups and run one half in the 2017 and the other in the 2018. That eliminates the effect of cumulative washes.
Carl Ryan if you watched the video then you saw the soap stains. I've seen the last generation wash over the last 3 years and not only has it never left soap stains but it has never left dirt on the knees like the 2018 model. If you want proof buy the 2018 yourself. Enjoy the well built washer that doesn't wash.

As a Speed Queen Dealer I have sold dozens of the new top load washers and no complaints, in fact people love the new top load washers.
I have the TR7 model and I find it a good machine.

Anita buy the 2019 model TC5 Classic Speed Queen. It’s the same as the excellent 2017 model. Stay away from the TR line built in 2018 with that ridiculous tub design. Eugene has the video out on it. Buy before Dec 31, 2019 and you will get the in-home10 yr parts and labor warranty. You’ll get a washer built to last 25 yrs with a great warranty.
