Thanks for the thorough review and opinion of the features. Great to hear it's lasted so well. Really helped me make up my mind about whether to get the rucksack.
I know I'm late to this but absolutely excellent review! Your attention to detail was as thoughtful as Osprey's design for the Radial (I do wish that front mesh had a minimal form of securing it like the Tropos though!!).
Thanks! Maybe put your tools in one of the side water bottle pockets? It would be secure, easy access, and it sounds like you have at least one available/empty. Is there a place for hydration bladder, maybe in the laptop compartment? I don’t see a place for it.
Hey Jonathan, In general I like having the tools hidden as much as possible but easy to access whenever needed. I use the side pocket for tools on the Metron since the bottom pocket is too small to fit them all. No dedicated place for a hidration bladder, I'm afraid.
@@BikeCommuterHero thank you, i saw few samples of Deuter trans alpine pro and it looks great for bike commuter. Can't decide between osprey and Deuter 😅
Hi there! I have 2 questions: because the backpack is designed to ride a bike, is comfortable when you have to come back to your feet and walk around whit some load? And also what about the water bottle side pocket at 45 degrees? Did the bottle ever jump off the pocket? Great review by the way! Greetings from Argentina
Hola Ezequiel! I use it for hikes and other activities off the bike as well. I find it very comfortable enough, even though it's most comfortable when you're on the bike. The bottle sits in the pocket quite snug and it's quite deep too. There's no way it can accidentally fall out. Saludos y suerte!
Buenas hombre! I have some other Osprey backpacks and while i agree with BCH that the bottle will not escape there are two issues with actually using the angled bottle mesh. My 1l camelbak bottle pokes me in the ribs if i use the pocket that way and its also quite uncomfortable to actually take the bottle out of your bag while the bag is on your pack. Que encuentras tu mochila perfecta :)

The most astonishing part of this backpack review was when you said you had 5 kids. Man! You have been working hard! LOL!
Oh, boy have I!
Nice enthusiasm!
You sold it for me. Thanks!
I hope you will like it as much as I do. It's been through some rough days and it's still going strong.
Great review! Really helpfull 👍
Thank you for the feedback! Happy pedaling!

Can you review Deuter trans Alpine pro 28? Can you make comparison for both of them?
The Deuter hasn’t been on my radar, but I’m going to look into it and see if I can.

is there a tensioner loop for the helmet
I know... Thanks for the heads-up.

Can you get a 40oz hyrdoflask/ yeti into the bottle holders?
I don’t have the hydroflask, so I don’t know.
It’s a $20 backpack for $200! Does it come with AC? No thanks!
