A great Walk to Fethiye's incredible park, tiring but wow! Restaurants, cafes and stunning views!

- Walking Fethiye's promenade was just a delight. This stunning Turkish town is really something else. My target was to reach the stunning park they have but on the way investigate the promenade.
It did not disappoint!
I took a slow walk and saw some amazing things. Follow me on the journey. I passed so many stunning 5 star restaurants, cafes, marinas, parks, tea house's and on the way i had the beautiful Fethiye bay to my left. How beautiful it was! If you are on holiday in any of the resorts of Hisaronu, Olu Deniz, Ovacik, Calis or indeed Fethiye itself you need to visit this park i eventually got too.
Put this park on your bucket list!
I passed so many restaurants, one even had it's own private beach. Awesome!
Weather i was on the promenade or on the Cycle lane there was always something going on. I even got to feed the birds at the hello Bufe.
But the main reason for today was to walk to Fethiye bey park. A huge area that has approximately 3 children's play areas that are huge with so many un usual apparatus. They were all loving it. It has a huge skateboard park, a basketball court, rivers running through the whole park, stylish horses, food canteen, hammock areas, statues everywhere and let's not forget the many windmills and water wheels. A really unusual park and guess what? It is FREE.
Just past the park is Duck island were again it is the most stunning setting with wildlife all around.
The park has it's own promenade also with seating areas everywhere facing the beautiful bay of Fethiye.
You can walk this promenade or hire bicycles or scooters if your a little more energetic. The bicycle lane runs through the park.
So, get yourself to Turkey and especially the Fethiye area and marvel at it's beauty!

Ronnie I walked to bird sanctuary from calice and had to get a taxi it was to hot to go on but it was a magic day just love their .it was walking past all the reefs I thought it was never ending but to see the park with the horses and plane was great

Mind reader! After watching your last video I meant to comment to say you should do a video walking from Fethiye to Calis but you read my mind 🤣 It's a most beautiful walk and the park is totally amazing & love just going to one of the "library" areas to sit and read and watch the world go by. We can't wait to get back again in September and will certainly try and go for a cuppa at some of the cafes you highlighted. Looking forward to the Calis video ☺ keep up the good work Ronnie 👍

Me and the missus walked the promenade and the park last October, was absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to visit the park at night when the light’s are on. Will defo try the restaurant’s on the promenade, so keep them videos coming as they are great and very informative.Maybe catch you mid April when we come back over. See ya. 😎✈️

Hi again, Just remembered last time we were over, Simon from the Cafe Soul told us that the park was completed in only 6 months, wow, that was some feat, love the place, counting down the days now.
Awesome video can't wait to get back there in May. Ever thought of doing an Ovacik video? Limited in size granted, but some truly brilliant hotels and restaurants there.

On your videos you mention the pool bar at a hotel in Callis Beach do you just buy a drink and you can use the pool? My hotel does have a pool but I do want to get out and about.
Many hotels allow you in and as long as you buy drink or food it's ok to use a pool..but please Google hotels to check before trying that...most hotel aparts are ok but some larger hotels will not allow it so please check before going .

Is your name Ronnie - remember I'd be grateful if you could video cafe, bar and restaurant menus. On Mick Starsbrook video there was beef stew and rice at a Lokanta for about 62 TL about £3.34?

Hi...I have so many video agendas but if I am honest my style is walk and talk and not the same as Micks as he sets up Tripods and gets very thorough....I'm not wanting that...my style is just pure random with not too much of an agendy if you know what I mean...I can say...NOW for a beef stew it's more than 100tl..inflation has hit us hard and EVERYTHING has had huge increases. I'm always honest. But, 18tl to the pound so still great if your changing sterling.....I will look at menus ofcourse in my own way....watch out for it.. oh yes I'm Romnie

Hi, Nice video. How much is efes in bars and supermarkets.? You mentioned 40 lira in video. By the way I spent 3 nights in Esnaf hospital. Been going to this area for over 20 years. I prefer staying in Ovacik.
Yes 30 to 40 tl a beer in a bar and 22tl in the market....Ovacik also is nice...I have an apartment there!
On your next video if the owners of cafes, bars and restaurants allow you too - can you film some menus even if it just captures the video for a few seconds.

I want to know how much a beer would be, a cappuccino, do they sell Sangria in pool bars.
A beer is between 30 and 40 to most places..sangria is in Spain haaa but the Turks can rattle up any drink...just ask...Thanks for watching
I say Sangria because it hits the spot whilst sunbathing in the Sun. I wouldn't dare (although might for old time sakes) drink Rakki by the pool. Rakki smashes me. And I don't want to be walking around a holiday resort legless.

I've been to Turkey before to Istanbul but never to the reports. What I am not drinking or smoking if I can help it and unless it's really hot and it marks the spot. Aryan, Turkish coffee, Turkish Cay. One I don't like strong coffee and I don't like Tea. And I'm not smoking a Hookah or Nargile. It is pointless if I have a vape pen in my pocket.
We all love Istanbul. So many great places in Turkey to see....

Hi your videos are fantastic and great to watch. We're over in Oludeniz next week and plan to visit Fethiye (we have been a few times over the years) and some of the restaurants along the promenade, they look fabulous 😊. I was wondering if you have any information regarding the green electric scooter hire 🛴. My partner has osteoarthritis in his ankle and can't walk far. We would love to see the park and go down to Calis. We have used Scooters in Liverpool and they're brilliant, you need a driving license. Any information would be great. Thank you so so much..i will keep them coming . Yes...when you get here you will download an app on your phone..when you see the scooters just zap with your phone from the app on the scooter screen. You pay 2 Tl to take it away and its about 2 Tl a minute . Hope that helps
