Thank you Peter, and thank you Vince for all the teaching you have provided me and the world with your videos. LET'S GET IT
I've started breaking about a month ago. I've watched a ton of Vince's videos to learn. I'm 27 and still a newbie, but watching an accomplished bboy like him still learning is very motivating. I'm gonna train even harder.
Yo bro what did you achieve after 4 years ? I started breakdance very recently and i want to have real expectations on what i can achieve after 4 years
absolutely amazing and inspiring to us young bboys, keep it up vince, been a follower and avid watcher since forever, congrats on your dope marriage too bro - its all love!
I'm so jealous of the sharing of knowledge that is available in this age. Those golden nuggets of knowledge used to come after months of crashing and injuries lol. Good luck to you man.
True. Recently I learned how to do a kipping muscle up in 10 workouts at age 41. There is a video of it on my channel. Currently I’m learning/perfecting the windmill. At some point I will make a video on that too.
I remember the craze for air flares back in the early 2000's. I learned how to do Air Flare to windmills but that's as far as I got. After about 12 years of not breaking thinking about getting back into it. Nice channel I wish I had that when I started in 1998.
You can literally learn this move first before learning anything else. People will tell you otherwise because they all repeat what someone else with more experience told them.
Man, watching your videos for like 7 years.I've learned so many things from u, very good advices and nice experience! Very happy to see that u decided to try learn AF and make kind of tutorial! Very funny and actually some good advices as well. Respect to you and your team! Dope! p.s. AF really too crippy to learn it in that ages!
Never too old to break. The only time you stop is when you break a bone and it tells you no more. Even if your 80 you can still do top rocks and footworks
I'm also 31 and in my breakdance journey of 16 years try to practice them on and off.... on November 2018 I decided to F finally learn this damn move! best of luck to both of us, BTW your bro giving some very helpful tips, seen a lot of tutorial and no one talks about it good job!!!
I'm 38 and I'm getting back into it. I'm pretty lean and strong because I'm a fitness trainer, but I never got air flares. I never even got flares. Do I need to have flares down first? Also, I had 1990s down, swipes and windmills too! I've wanted to get flares, airflares and floats down forever! I need workshops and I live near Jersey City, NJ. Your assistance will not be forgotten. A thousand thank yous!!!
My man you said something that is very fundamental to many power moves. Fitness training ( bar workouts ) and planches are very good for learning many power moves. Especially floats !!! I can flare, and do floats/Buddha's but since my teens I could only learn only one airflare and in very few instances I got two. Work on your flexibility and before you know it attempting most power moves will become easy.
We can start learning airflares from the approach of your swipes and windmills U will need flares if you want to do airflares like Bboy Marcio He is REALLY doing flares in the air Korean style airflares is more like swipe + windmill American Airflares (airtrack) is like swipes and 1990s Dont worry You can trust me Hihihi
I’m 30 and i self taught myself how to breakdance when i was 9 because i wanted to show out at one of the many breakdance battles we had at my school and when i was finally able to breakdance (2years later) it was no longer a thing so i stopped breaking but now i feel like this urge to start again...Thank you Health Insurance lol
I’m 37 now and I can do them on good days. One thing to keep in mind is that your catching hand/wrist takes a lot of beating when you practice them so you gotta be warmed up before. Your left leg needs to dip low as you’re in the planche position, at the same time, right leg kicks behind you in the opposite direction (scissor like). This will whip you from one hand to another. There’s a lot to the explanation but in essence you wanna nail all your fundamentals first (planche hold, hand stand on each hand). It’s looking good so far. Keep us updated. Hit me up if you wanna get some tips from a fellow old schooler..
is there any video of you doing it ? am 28 kinder gave up on bboying a while now almost a year , i can do 5 flares , masterswipes and many other mover , i use to get one airflare but gave up on it due to other responsibilities , lol life happens , i want to start bboying again but am too LAZY lol
@@StomerMadGermzOfficial I gave up due to responsibilities as well. Last time I did them was in August. I'll have to get my wife to record them for me but I'll do so and share on here.
Yo! I remember meeting Peter back in 2014 before moving to LA. Did the same exact drill for me @ 19:08 and really helped me understand how it was supposed to feel to catch haha
One thing that worked for me was learning forearm air flares first, as they are closer to the ground and have less of a fear factor involved. I just may do a video if enough people ask me to do one.
If you want longevity and to be well while in your journey, you MUST stretch everyday , get creative. Eat fiber and focus mastering handstands and handstand variations . Breathing. You don’t want to just throw this move. You can get it but it can hurt you later . Keep the foundation solid !
hahahaha, I'm so happy watching a pro bboy, grounded his pride to share and learn something that he couldn't do like this, maybe u could add this to ur content routine, so u can always learn something new.

haha When I started Breaking Air Flares were pretty new so everyone was doing them. Because of this I didn't want to learn it. It's kinda like if all your friends wear the same Tshirt (that once was your favorite shirt) to school it kinda makes you not want to wear it anymore lol
@@VincaniTV Yes, I felt the same way. The Koreans all did them to death in the late 90s and early 2000s. Also, I can't lie, they seemed so freaking difficult, I knew that I'd need some guidance.
That's the reason why many people were against learning them. It's similar to what happens today. Many people use web or German Mills to transition or hide a crash, mistake and even though it's good for that it gets very repetitive with every other bboy that does them. Airflares have come a long way now. Just doing airflares is something basic but still a challenging move. Especially if you have little to no flexibility. Flexibility is key for continuous airflares and airflare variations.
I believe in you that you can learn it. I am 23. The problem to you is you do not kick your left and right leg to spin to the left you are only spinning upside down with your hands. Now you know you must kick your legs while up side down that time you can do the hop while spinning. Once you do one to two hops of air flare you can do more spins until you get out of balance. I am looking forward to your air flare practice videos.
i used to break with Vinc back in the early 2000's with legendary steps crew, stopped break a while back but kinda feel like starting again for a workout

Hey man I just want to let you know that with that technique it will take too much time to learn them. Don t put the landing arm so close and don t train them vertically, think of them as left arm hand jump to right arm hand jump. When you first jump stay low and land on your right arm and foot at the same time. Practice A LOT of hand jumps on your landing arm (it s the right one in your case). I can do 30 of them, I started with the the same technique your friend taught you, it s a waste of time, you cannot master them like that or do variations like munch airflare etc. Remember to kick your left leg like you would do with the move called ninja, then jump and when you land on yhe right arm remember to kick your left leg to your face so you will stay up. Sorry for my english. Good luck.
this technique is definitely the best way to learn airflares. It helps people understand the fundamental "catch" of the true airflare. Fundamentals bro. it's all about fundamentals.

2:42 you can call it the tweek. lock the spine? ok, just spin on the hands, put one behind the head after 180 degrees do it again. simples. or 360. ok just watching but i think you have to hop with the hip
I wanna learn airflares too! 37 and considering returning to training again. It's one thing I never got, even when I was competing. Best I could do was elbow airflare to windmill. :(
You have to slide your head alot, it helps to know how to do icey ice. Also freeze to headstand helps. Your legs are not the most important, you can focus on them later
it is really that hard move witch you have to train hard and develop the right muscles for it by the time learning it.. you better start with the flares and swipes as before.. you cant take off before you run
