The most beautiful thing about this is actually the fact, how carefully they be workin with his legacy. There was not a single moment, after his death, where i got the feeling that its about to become a sad sad cashgrab like some did on other deceased musicians before. To me, the dog gaining courage after putting on Larry Fisherman’s hat is a metaphor for us Mac fans relying on his music to give us courage, strength, and comfort to battle our own demons and struggles when we feel lost. Beautiful video. Love you Mac.
The puppy is a metaphor for Mac always staying a kid at heart. The number 3 that pops up several times signifies his 3 times relapsing or "falling." His third time falling he lands on his bed peacefully and rides out into space after defeating the "giants" who represent this world and how many distractions it offers so we cant discover real inner peace.
When I saw this posted, you just get that smile that never ends. Mac brings me back to my childhood. I'll always miss him and support his music until the end. Much love.

In 2018 I was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 21. I spent 29 days in the hospital, went through 4 surgeries, 3 blood transfusions, around 40 something staples, went without food for over a month, and currently live with a colostomy. I remember when I was in the hospital, basically just waiting to die, and my dad bought me a shirt with Mac Miller on it that said "No matter where life takes me, you'll find me with a smile." I wore it almost every day until I was fully recovered. That was 3 years ago. I remember hearing the news of his death, and I cried holding that shirt for what seemed like weeks. Mac was my inspiration, and his music gave me strength when I needed it the most. He was such a talented artist who touched the hearts of millions. I needed to hear this today. It always seems like Mac pops up and gives us strength when we feel like we're fighting a battle we can't win. RIP, brother. Much love
I was in an ATV accident in 2016 and broke my neck and am paralyzed from the chest down and “saw the light” and almost died due to complications. Not to mention over a dozen surgeries and hospitalizations since. I now have a colostomy too. I appreciated his music before that, but after it was there when I needed it most. Mac is the one celebrity deaths that still bothers me to this day. He comes to mind frequently in the shower, driving when his songs come on, or late night washing dishes listening to him. We were the same age and I've been listening to him since "Kids". Watching him grow and change to his mature style in "Swimming" before he passed was a blessing. I still can't stand that he is gone. Its wild to me that someone I have never met could inspire and connect with me so much through his art. Hearing his old songs bring back vivid memories. I don't think I will ever forget Mac. The fact that new songs of him are being released is so deeply appreciated. RIP Mac.

My son loves Mac Miller. He suffered every time he talks about Mac. He always ask why him? He started following Mac few years ago. He was his idol. For the last couple years, my son told me he will die soon. Just like Mac. He couldn’t believe such a young man passed. My son is not longer here. He committed suicide just a couple hours after this song was released on Sep 15. I’m not sure the time he passed away. But all he had in his computer was Mac Miller songs. The picture at the end with the two chairs is The Sanctuary studio in his house, where he made Watching Movies and most of, if not all of Faces. I drove by the old house a couple months back. It’s now a rehab and therapy facility. Warms my heart to see people getting the help they need in that house 💯🙏🏼

I trip out on that same thought. This and many other songs. "One last thing" from blue slide park. That shit give me chills. The tone. The frequency at which beat bangs. The sounds. What he says and when he says it. At the end when he says "I wanna go back home" that shit hit me like a ton of bricks I just picture macs energy out there his energy in a different plane wanting to come back to what he knew.

My dog just died a few hours ago. Loved him to bits. He looked a bit like Ralphie in this video actually. I seem to be the only one getting a weird vibe of the fact that they put out Faces- vinyls, CD's and merch now. He released this tape to be heard, not to be sold. If he had the intention to sell it while alive, he wouldn't have put it out for free. It's a fact I love about him. The production quality of this video is amazing. As a former visual effects artist and 3D animator, this video is very impressive. The characters, the story, CG lighting and just everything. So well done. Mac would be beaming with pride over this. It compliments this song perfectly.
I find myself likening this to the countless fictional stories surrounding Laika, The Space Dog. This story revolves around Ralphie.. who was actually dog-napped from Malcolm in 2014. Ralphie was never found or returned to Malcolm. Ralphie was a main source of emotional inspiration not only for this song but for Faces as a whole. With that said, Mac made a beautiful and touching dedication to one of the beings he loved most. Now that Mac is gone we have this timeless music to remember them both by. One way or another I just like to think that they are together again. The video perfectly shows what Mac must have gone through with losing Ralphie. To me this is a visualization of how Ralphie was always running through Macs mind, lost in between everything else but always there... By the end of the video I like to think of it as the acceptance that Ralphie is gone, off somewhere seeing all that he can see as the real captain. That's the best thing that we could imagine. I'm not able to have children, so I've just had animals as my children. My dogs been ill since Thanksgiving, and I'm not ready in the slightest to lose my boy. Some reason this song has always just been a comfort song to me since Faces came out, and to this day its still stands true. I wanted to listen to it all day so I walked to a McDonald’s to get my mom a big breakfast so I could lock myself in my room & listen to it in a sitting. I also remember showing everyone this song. Mac had Ralph for a long time & would always have him around. He was at the FACES release party. Sadly Ralphie was eaten by coyotes. Mac explained briefly about it. Lauren is still alive I believe with Jimmy. But yeah RIP Mac & Ralphie. Also during the release of FACES Mac would wear a captain hat. In his Diablo music video he has a captain hat on. It’s almost a homage to them both. You can see for yourself via the Diablo music video.

I was the exact same. I couldn’t listen for a good solid year. I have listened now. And I have to say the track “Good News” is possibly one of his best tracks I have heard. He really was reaching his peak as an artist I believe. Which makes the whole thing so much sadder.

His third time falling he lands on his bed peacefully and rides out into space after defeating the "giants" who represent this world and how many distractions it offers so we cant discover real inner peace.

In 2018 I was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 21. I spent 29 days in the hospital, went through 4 surgeries, 3 blood transfusions, around 40 something staples, went without food for over a month, and currently live with a colostomy. I remember when I was in the hospital, basically just waiting to die, and my dad bought me a shirt with Mac Miller on it that said "No matter where life takes me, you'll find me with a smile." I wore it almost every day until I was fully recovered. That was 3 years ago. I remember hearing the news of his death, and I cried holding that shirt for what seemed like weeks. Mac was my inspiration, and his music gave me strength when I needed it the most. He was such a talented artist who touched the hearts of millions. I needed to hear this today. It always seems like Mac pops up and gives us strength when we feel like we're fighting a battle we can't win. RIP, brother. Much love

I was in an ATV accident in 2016 and broke my neck and am paralyzed from the chest down and “saw the light” and almost died due to complications. Not to mention over a dozen surgeries and hospitalizations since. I now have a colostomy too. I appreciated his music before that, but after it was there when I needed it most. Yea I totally feel what you feel I remember listening to this when I came out of the hospital, they had me hooked up on drugs and I remember listening to this late at night I felt so at peace… I’m so sad he’s gone especially from drugs, rest easy Mac. ❤
Mac is the one celebrity deaths that still bothers me to this day. He comes to mind frequently in the shower, driving when his songs come on, or late night washing dishes listening to him. We were the same age and I've been listening to him since "Kids". Watching him grow and change to his mature style in "Swimming" before he passed was a blessing. I still can't stand that he is gone. Its wild to me that someone I have never met could inspire and connect with me so much through his art. Hearing his old songs bring back vivid memories. I don't think I will ever forget Mac. The fact that new songs of him are being released is so deeply appreciated. RIP Mac.

My son loves Mac Miller. He suffered every time he talks about Mac. He always ask why him? He started following Mac few years ago. He was his idol. For the last couple years, my son told me he will die soon. Just like Mac. He couldn’t believe such a young man passed. My son is not longer here. He committed suicide just a couple hours after this song was released on Sep 15. I’m not sure the time he passed away. But all he had in his computer was Mac Miller songs.
I wish he was had the opportunity to met him. Hope my son had a chance to meet Mac, in the eternity.

I trip out on that same thought. This and many other songs. "One last thing" from blue slide park. That shit give me chills. The tone. The frequency at which beat bangs. The sounds. What he says and when he says it. At the end when he says "I wanna go back home" that shit hit me like a ton of bricks I just picture macs energy out there his energy in a different plane wanting to come back to what he knew.
Faces is such a unique project and its as introspective as it gets. He was only 22 when this came out, what a tortured soul. He helped me through so much, forever greatful for Mac

I seem to be the only one getting a weird vibe of the fact that they put out Faces- vinyls, CD's and merch now. He released this tape to be heard, not to be sold. If he had the intention to sell it while alive, he wouldn't have put it out for free. It's a fact I love about him. The production quality of this video is amazing. As a former visual effects artist and 3D animator, this video is very impressive. The characters, the story, CG lighting and just everything. So well done. Mac would be beaming with pride over this. It compliments this song perfectly.

I find myself likening this to the countless fictional stories surrounding Laika, The Space Dog. This story revolves around Ralphie.. who was actually dog-napped from Malcolm in 2014. Ralphie was never found or returned to Malcolm. Ralphie was a main source of emotional inspiration not only for this song but for Faces as a whole.
With that said, Mac made a beautiful and touching dedication to one of the beings he loved most. Now that Mac is gone we have this timeless music to remember them both by. One way or another I just like to think that they are together again. The video perfectly shows what Mac must have gone through with losing Ralphie.
To me this is a visualization of how Ralphie was always running through Macs mind, lost in between everything else but always there... By the end of the video I like to think of it as the acceptance that Ralphie is gone, off somewhere seeing all that he can see as the real captain. That's the best thing that we could imagine.

I'm not able to have children, so I've just had animals as my children. My dogs been ill since Thanksgiving, and I'm not ready in the slightest to lose my boy. Some reason this song has always just been a comfort song to me since Faces came out, and to this day its still stands true. Even from the afterlife, this man continues to give me that small bit of hope and comfort. "It's okay, to not be okay."
Listening to Mac still makes me tear up. I can barley even listen to 2009 without crying. He had soo much emotion in his songs that you can feel the pain he went through while listening to his music.

I remember when this mixtape came out in 2014. It was Mother’s Day & I was 16. I wanted to listen to it all day so I walked to a McDonald’s to get my mom a big breakfast so I could lock myself in my room & listen to it in a sitting.
I also remember showing everyone this song. I really enjoyed their reactions.

They were named after Ralph Lauren.
Mac had Ralph for a long time & would always have him around. He was at the FACES release party.
Sadly Ralphie was eaten by coyotes. Mac explained briefly about it.
Lauren is still alive I believe with Jimmy.
But yeah RIP Mac & Ralphie.
Also during the release of FACES Mac would wear a captain hat. In his Diablo music video he has a captain hat on.

Mac Miller's music carried me during the miserable times of my life
I still can't get over his death. I can't listen to his newest album because I get too sad. I've never been hurt so hard by a death before. This is one of my favourite songs ever and I'm glad it's gotten a music video. People just hearing this song or hearing Mac Miller for the first time, welcome and enjoy this beautiful artist.

I was the exact same. I couldn’t listen for a good solid year. I have listened now. And I have to say the track “Good News” is possibly one of his best tracks I have heard. He really was reaching his peak as an artist I believe. Which makes the whole thing so much sadder.
