Technology is ruining Las Vegas. The old neon and glitter master pieces like the Stardust sign will never be outdone by the lame techno screens.

It's not technology that ruins it, it's just the people who think it's a good idea to place mass production screens as a sign(that are everywhere the same) and put a cheap video playing in them.

The City of Las Vegas along with The Neon Museum are doing their best to preserve some of the old neon signs by restoring and placing some of the original, smaller neon signs along the center median of the Las Vegas Strip for people to experience for years to come. The Neon Museum Boneyard is not a place for Neon to die, but a place to relive it and keep it alive. Many people like the old neon signs in their current, deteriorated state, so the Neon Museum is keeping many of its sign collection in their existing, weathered condition for all to see and experience!

I always loved Las Vegas as Child, but now i hate Las Vegas. It was so a beautiful Town with endless Neon. But today they removed so many Neon and the Town is completely turned to a simple Town like each other. Especially Riviera was a neon Beast.

Bruh I hate having to live in Vegas it’s to compacted together like a rat nest nothing but apartments every turn you go housing where you and your neighbors can share a beer while on the John and it’s just not what is was before and I feel I was born In The wrong time period. It’s a rat race in Vegas now it’s not the colorful neon and just how it was. It’s now like a bland burnt orange color of led lights and white led lights it’s dead now. The only place that still keeps it original is downtown the strip is gone now. If only people would bring back that 50s 60s feel theme and life style maybe Vegas and other places would be what is was not a screen everywhere you look.

They won't get rid of the Fremont Street neon signs. They're part of the attraction.

Gee who doesn't love losing their TV remote control device then having to sit through all those big screen high definition television commercials.

not sure about neon but I think the old bulbs had a different ''fps'' to human eyes compared to Led lights, a more relaxing effect where led technology is lacking

So many people die from cancer in Vegas, SINCE the early 1950's. From area 51 atomic blasts- which contiued to 1996. These signs are SO cool.. I grew up there since 1964. My dad worked at Area 51 AND The Stardust, lol.

New signs require little craft. They just aren't energizing or exciting.

LED lighting is not all that great. I like the old neon and light bulb sign art. It's a shame that it's on the way out. LED lighting is hard on the eyes. I can't even accept the fact that they are now using LED's for day lights on automobiles. It's so tacky.

Lame techno screens are ruining everything. LED technology will NEVER truly replace Neon. Cell phones and notebooks have already caused our society to all but crumble.
People don't really want to do anything like art or crafts. But they'll kill themselves if they can't get at least a couple of hours a day playing candy crush saga!
