    Hi Stuart, I'm the guy who came into the gallery with my wife on Saturday and then popped back just before closing time to pick up a calendar. Having spent three days with my camera in the Lake District last weekend, I'm really glad to find you have a YT channel full of valuable advice about how to do photographic justice to such amazing landscape. Looking forward to following along :)

    Really like first few shots with the mist. You have beautiful forests in the UK. Shot from 12:17 has a bit to strong vignette for my taste

    Its still quite green here Stu. Lovely chilled intro. I have just come back after a drive to check out some woodland but didnt get my camera out. Lovely conditions on that opening image was a corker. Loved the Waswater shots. Hope the cold/flu didn't come to owt - have been down with "summat" the last week or so myself. atb Al

    Always good to see your videos pop up. I have been loving the Tamron 28-200 for the Sony. Such a versatile lens and the weight reduction (from lugging around a 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 F4) is always appreciated on my way up a hill :)

    Hope you feel better soon Stuart. The autumn colours are really coming through now 🍂 Waiting for some misty mornings down south to capture some more atmospheric shots. After our sessions at Crummock Water and Tewet Tarn, I’m loving the more ‘moody’ weather! 😊

    Hi Stuart another enjoyable video thanks. It was nice to meet you and have a chat last week when I called into the gallery. (I was the one who greeted you when I walked in with a mask on ☺) It was great to see a selection of your prints in the flesh rather than on a screen especially the ponies in the snow image which is one of my favourites. We had a great week in the Lakes and I can't believe how dry it was!! I'm back up for the weekend early Nov so hopefully the autumn colours will be at their best as long as the winds don't cause too many leaves to drop

    I'm new to this channel and I'm subscribing. I really like the pano version of that first composition. I like woodland photography also; but since my area (downstate New York) gets little fog, it's sometimes a challenge. You've got great autumn colors, too. It's just nearing peak here. I look forward to more content.

    Yes your thoughts on the 70-200 f2.8 would be of great interest given it’s serious cost compared to the great value 24 - 200. Not just the technical differences and optical superiority (which you would expect) but also your thoughts on the degree to which those differences might make any real world improvements to photos from a landscape photography perspective. I have that question in my own mind as a hobbyist. Thanks for the interesting videos! 🙏😊

    Rather taken by your carbon fibre brolly ☔🙂 The 70-200 is superb but heavy for lugging up hills although, like you brolly, the massive lens hood is great in the wet, looking forward to your thoughts 😀.

      @StuartMcGlennon  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah will be an interesting comparison, the 2.8 is undoubtedly a superb lens, is it 4x the quality in real world use for landscapes will be my question when its price is considered

    Another great watch. Really like that panorama by the way. Was very much intrigued by your answer to that question regarding what has made you a better photographer. I've lost count years ago of the number of times I went to recce a location at completely the wrong time, both in terms of the time of day, the time of year and in completely the wrong conditions for any given location. The upshot being, I was completely blind to any possibilities that may have been there, because my initial gut reaction was one of utter disappointment. It's like I gave up looking before I even started. So, what should I have done instead. How do I open my eyes up to spot potential? Is it something you can train yourself to do or is it a case you've either got that ability or you haven't?

    I sent my 70-200 back, I felt the quality was just too poor. Maybe I had a dud? I was very disappointed as it’s just such a good and convenient range. I wish I could see one of these images in your video at a 100%. Great first image Stu, lovely colours.

    • @StuartMcGlennon

      Really? You maybe had a duff copy. An F4 z mount would be the logical thing though they still have no plans to release once which is odd, though I must say this 24-200 is ridiculously sharp given its range

So when you come on here venting your frustration as if you’ve been personally offended by this video, you’ll understand when you get it back with interest.
