I love the Lake District , sadly its a seven hour trip up for me so i don't get there anywhere near as often as i would if i were closer. Some absaloutly stunning images you showed from previous shoots while waiting for the water to calm, really enjoyed that, and the last image turned out really nice.
I have shit them waterfalls 2 years ago they are fantastic I do need to get back over to explore them more when we are permitted of course great video and really love your content
Nice shots Stuart. Visited Buttermere for the first time last October and hope to get back there once or twice this year. I didn't get right around the lake so nice to know there are other options I can explore.
Like the video ,caught you on the "PubCast" so thought i would have a look and follow you .Hoping to learn more landscape tips & tricks from your site. Best wishes.Stay safe .
Thanks for that Stuart, really enjoyable watch with a cup of coffee on a Sunday evening, perfect! Terrific photographs as always, personal favorite for me was the first waterfall one. Thanks for sharing your outing.
I know next to nothing of the Lakes so I'm enjoying going around with you. Great drone shot, but my favourite was the final pne. Thanks for taking us along.
Ah, a silver lining to COVID - a quiet Buttermere, not something you see often. I like your reasoning to not venturing too far up the hills. It was truly saddening to hear about the volunteer from Patterdale MRT. Great waterfall shots Stuart especially the first and as you said maybe even better when you go back in the Autumn. Cheers.
Cheers mate yes bloody terrible news that, I’ve donated a print into an auction which is raising money for him, so many donations already which is great to see though a horrid thing all round and totally avoidable
@@StuartMcGlennon That's good of you mate. I made my small contribution through Just Giving and will continue, as I have done, to drop what I can into the various MRT collection tins dotted around the Lakes when I'm there.
Welcome to my world, Stuart. Everytime I've visited Buttermere, the water has always been quite choppy. Mind you, that might be more to do with the time of day my visits have been at. Really like your two different compositions from the waterfall. However, that image from the drone from two days earlier was spectacular! Just haven't got my head around how you managed to get your thumb over the sun to stop the lens flare on that one. You must have a bloody tall pair of stepladders to do that! lol If so, I just hope you've completed your 'Working at Height' health & safety module.😉👋
Thanks Ian yep haha no thumbs on the drone you've just got to get what you're given off it! I do shoot brackets whenever I use it for still as the DR on the files is relatively poor
@@StuartMcGlennon so the drone is not fitted with a little robotic arm you can position over the sun either. Perhaps we need to suggest that to DJI...😉 Need to get that idea patented! 🙄
Good to see you out and about and being responsible about where you travel. I love buttermere , must admit I’m still on a quest to get that iconic reflection image. Thanks
Oh no it’s ok Neville I haven’t been burgled though I could have phrased it better! I meant that I was coming through again to check on the shop as I did a fortnight ago lol
@@StuartMcGlennon That's a relief. I had visions of some shady characters trying to sell your prints cheap down the pub. You know what those Pubcast types are like. :-)
Nice ones Stuart. I managed to get some good drone shots of the cloud inversion from the top of Latrigg before the cloud rose up during the day. Keep up the good work. 👌
Hi Stuart: I really enjoyed the simplicity of this location and the images that you have captured. I do like the image of the waterfalls early in the video where you were shooting towards the Fleetwood Pike. QUESTION: I have noticed that you have a retailer relationship with Kase Filters. Does this mean that you have their products at your Gallery for resale? Cheers, Keith
Hi Keith, this summer it's likely I'll be stocking some Kase products in the gallery thought this is still in the works in terms of some of the finer details and what works best for both parties.
Like the background tune Stuart, would appreciate shutter speed and aperture info on your shots and could you step back a little...not saying you’re not a handsome chap but you appear huge on my telly!?
Thanks for watching Ian, to be honest I'm fairly happy with the distance I am away, i'm at arms length on a selfie stick with a wide lens so any further and it's getting into setting up a second tripod and shooting in a static manner which isn't something I particularly enjoy doing and changes the style of the video. The tech info on the shots the first one was at 16mm at 1/3rd of sec, second one was 45mm again at 1/3rd second hope that helps :-)

Very good.

Thanks very much Lee yes this is a spot I'll definitely be returning to for sure, lots of potential here and further up those waterfalls.
Lovely images Stuart under difficult conditions, hoping to get to Buttermere myself in mid October.
Cheers David
I really respect your decisions to stay off the fells, credit to you. Buttermere is a lovely location, one of my favourites.
Thanks John much appreciated
Lovely shots, great example of the results you can achieve without show stopping light.
Thanks Justin yep very flat conditions though still something to be had

Thanks Andrew yes they’re a lovely little viewpoint to visit. Always lol at the ‘shit’ typo when folk mean ‘shot’ 😂😂
Pardon the typo been on nights so not fully awake when typed the comment
@@andrewgill6863 haha it’s quite alright I’ve done that particular typo a hundred times 😂

Nice one. It itching be back at Buttermere.
Thanks very much
The water falls looked perfect. Stuart, what was your shutter speed on that?
Thanks from memory it would have been around 1/4 second
Awesome 😎 my favourite place to photograph.. the drone shot is beautiful 👏
Cheers mate 👍👍
Just found this channel, how the hell have you only got 2.56k subscribers with content this good? Awesome shots, subscribed.
Very kind of you Ed thanks - I’m fairly new on here so quite early days but thanks for watching glad you’re enjoying them👍

Sorry to hear about your burglary Stuart. You were admirably calm and managed some good shots given the circumstances.

Hi Stuart: Thanks for your very prompt response. This is good to know as I may want to buy some Kase kit.
Nice takes on those falls, roll on autumn. Shame you get someone abusive, I'm surprised people get worked up about photos on YT LOL
