I'm pretty competent in the tech area but tired of constant errors downloading ROMs, having them glitch etc. With all that said, what's your best emulation console you'd recommend? Would love to play Temest 2000, Iron Soldier, Batman Returns SNES, Sunsetriders SNES, World of Illusion Genesis, Adventures of Batman and Robin Genesis/SNES, Pilotwings N64, Wetrix N64 in same day without shifting wires, consoles and looks like these consoles are the answer! Thank you for helping the community find its way through all of this!

I would go for an HP Prodesk Mini with an i5 8500T or higher. If you have a good budget, the good old i5 6500 is still enough. I use a Hp 400 G4 Microtower with i5 7500 16gb dual channel DDR4 and GTX 1650 Super with Sata to 6 pin adapter. 1x 5TB HDD 1x 8TB HDD for games and 1x 1TB SSD for the Batocera OS. I'm thrilled. I paid €110 for the PC with SSD and 16gb RAM, €8 for thermal paste with pads, €80 for the two HDDs and €60 for the GTX 1650 Super. The power supply is limited, so my upgrades are already at the limit. I think with an I7 7700 the power supply won't work for me anymore. Performance is great until GameCube/Wii and PS2 everything runs great. I'm now in the process of testing the WiiU and Switch or loading the games onto my Batocera build. But I think it will still work. The N64, Gamecube and PS2 high-end emulation was important to me. This worked wonderfully and if Switch is running natively I'm happy. I expect more from Wii U. Needless to say, everything up to Dreamcast, PS1, PSP runs perfectly straight away.
At least this one has a decent GPU and because it is Christmas time I won't complain (won't buy it neither) Sorry! No click money from me, but only a sincere 'Happy XXXmas Wicked! ' ^_^

Batocera like most linux distros runs better on amd as well it actually likes amd gpus more i dont know if there is a amd gpu version but i know theres a ryzen vertion of this box
Or for 60 dollars get a Google pixel 4 with a razor kishi and put damon switch emulator dolfin and whatever else you want then just cast your screen to your tv

For the cost, this is a HARD PASS! I am seen better systems for less money, in the mini pc market. Not only that, with 64GB ram, this is literally quite a bit more expensive (nearly $900!) than a steam deck. Not anywhere near the value to cost ratio for me…. 🤷♂️👎👎👎
