From what I know the torque on those front cog bolts and nuts is 10nm and not 22nm. Just putting a set of sport cams in my m52b25 so I was checking some vids here about the proper timing. Maybe that was ur issue with the stripped studs.. Maybe.. .otherwise nice video👍
I'm experiencing a similar issue with the studs. Vehicle had a headjob by a dodgy mechanic a year back and now I'm trying to reinstall the vanos. I wanted to visually check the slot in intake for travel. Two of the nuts seems to unwind the stud! Not sure what to do at this stage. Problem being it will no longer completely tighten up and keeps spinning.

So what you just crank the engine till it’s tdc then everything ended up perfect what if one is off
