I just got one of these. It's great. Drives very smooth for a compact car. I like the led headlights a lot. So far very happy with this car.
Nice Review my dude i like corolla hatchbacks there kinda appealing to me👍
Some day when I don’t have a bunch of kids to haul around I’m gonna get me a sporty hatch like this.
That's a great little car. I could absolutely see myself owning one. Toyota's CVT is about the best there is and I don't think has ever had any cause for concern in reliability.
Engine Actuator failed and car went into limp mode. 2016/113,000.
@@87oceanwave But 2023 has a totally different CVT.
Nice updates for '23 esp the leather wrapped steering wheel, taillights and info screen. Agree about the manual option.
Great review and fun little car. This was in my top 3 when I purchased my Civic hatch 2 years ago. I went with Civic primarily because it’s a bigger vehicle and has much more storage space in the hatch. The other vehicle in my top 3 was the Mazda 3 hatchback. There’s not a loser in the bunch, it just depends what your needs are.
I'm a new driver looking for a hatchback for my son and I, we do lots of camping biking kayaking only things is roof racks wonder if they can be on this
I own this car, I love it. Only thing that sucks is it's brand new so it's hard to get nice and new things for it.
Have they released much for it yet? I'm going to buy one within the next few weeks
@@shanesmith7672 It's still hard to find stuff besides rims. Not quite sure how they'll do black out badges or whatever since there's cameras and sensors built into them. I've only put tint, and a sub in mine. Will be buying rims soon. Will keep on the lookout though!
Most of. these reviewers drive me NUTS! Gold Pony seems pretty cool. Like how he moves his reviews right along. He always seems to have pretty good info, along with a sense of humor!
CCC Austin,TX
Paying extra for power seats is kinda silly. Once you set them the first time they are basically not going to get moved anymore. Plus its another thing that can break.
Little bit of rain never stopped Gold Pony !!! 🐎
Haha I'm just glad my camera somehow always survives! 😆
@@goldpony 😂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really like this! Putting it on my maybe list ☺️
Mr. G Pony … You showed the rear hazard lamps, but could have introduced the FRONT amber led turn signals/hazard lamps since they’re new for 2023. Also, operating the rear wiper when panning to that window would’ve been nice. Still, an informative review.
They should have given a hybrid option on the hatchback too.
Always enjoy your reviews. I have been watching the corolla vids. The CVT worries me. When I saw your reaction to it; I guess I need to go drive one. Thanks for a complete review.
such a shame you can't get this thing with awd, would be a killer affordable & highly usable daily.
Really nice review, thanks!
Does the windows can roll down with keyfob?
Great review. Why is the Hatch SE the same price as the sedan LE? What am I missing?
Is this model non hybrid? I can’t see any hybrid badges on it and you don’t mention it in the review.
great little hatchback for sure and i would probably ether pick this or a honda civic hatch also thank you gold pony i have been asking for this one for a while
Now my perfect car!
My girlfriend ordered back in October the XSE version in orange (new color for 2023). I can't wait to drive this car!!!
Has it arrived yet?
@@nimthedib No, and I don't think it will arrive soon because I went to the dealership to get some news about the date my girlfriend will get the car and they told me the order still haven't been accepted by Toyota at the factory.
@@MaximeBrochu damn, I ordered the SE upgrade with the new red colour back in November, I’m hoping that maybe because it’s one of the middle models and not the base SE or the highest model XSE (the two that are in highest demand) it may arrive sooner. That’s so unfortunate uhg
Reserving a white one in a few days! Can’t wait.
i own one and i love it !!!
I was sold on safety sense 3.0
Other manufacturers normally charge you way more for those features
You had me at "made in Japan"
Yes it is superior in assembly and where it is made.
Not a fan of that white interior seating. Won’t age well.
Great video mate!!
Gonna watch and see if the manual is an option
Ooo, review in rain. Don’t see that too often. But that car is great for any weather.
Great Review!!!
Mondays my 16th birthday
Not a GR but still looks 👍
Why does the SE Corolla get slightly better gas mileage than the XSE Corolla? Both models have same engine.
Tires
@@biggieboomboom I hope these larger tires and wheels don't make the ride uncomfortable compared to the 16 inch tires and wheels on the SE Corolla Hatchback in USA market.🤔
@@microminiskirt bigger rims and shorter tires are always less smooth and more uncomfortable
I think with the SE/"Sport" trim, it should at least come with 17 inch wheels. Those 16s just look a little too small on such a sporty looking car. Also it would be great if Toyota would make a 2.0L hybrid Corolla Hatchback available for the US
The 16's are better because remember this is an economy car. Larger wheels are purely for cosmetic reasons and don't give a comfortable ride or protect suspension from potholes and bumpy roads. The larger tires cost more to replace and wear out faster. Again this is not a true sports car but an economy car.
Yeah "big changes " like no manual transmission 😢. So I will be trying to find a 2022 with the manual transmission .
Wow it looks like honda civic
Sorry, I always turn off reviews the moment they say cvt. I'm out 🫡 Good job, though.
intro song name please, anyone? thanks in advance.
Great reveiw! Will help my mom buy a new car and the 129 ft braking is a dealbreaker - that's simply unacceptable. Safety is of utmost importance and this doesn't cut it. Unfortunate but oh well.. Keep up the awesome work!
I don’t understand the whole push button start and the door handle unlocking when you touch it. Doesn’t that mean someone can just break into your car by doing those things?
That’s why I would rather get the base Corolla/Camry and use keys instead.
This thing is actually the same thing as the Mazda hatchback. Same body frame only the logo and the inside and exterior are different.
Still sounds like your are in a tin can when it rains
