Stop buying Madden. It's legitimately that simple. Every one of you who buys these sports titles year after year is insane. Demand more from your games. There are publishers who do right by their fan base. Support them.
What’s funny only things that change are pretty much roster and increasing of micro transactions right? Gameplay is the same as 5 years before, if not earlier. Sports games should be live service games imo. Instead of buying it new every year

@@indiana_bones5583 I mean, Mario sports games tend to be good a majority of the time, so those at least have good expectations, so it's safe to say that, as an example, people were disappointed by Ultra Smash on the WiiU because it was a barebones tennis game with a broken gimmick. When the N64 original has more content, life, characters, courts, and is better balanced 15 WHOLE YEARS & 3 CONSOLE GENERATIONS PRIOR...you know something's wrong. :/

It should be really. Disappointing implies it didn't reach expectations, which I think Madden did - given that expectations should be rock bottom.

Joe's passion when he riffs on Madden and EA is inspiring. I had the thought "choom's gonna have an aneurysm, holmes better watch his blood pressure" in Jackie's voice.
That madden rant was 100% pure authentic rage and anger towards the diary farmers over at EA and the NFL.
How can it be disappointing? Hasn’t it been the same game the past three years?
@@TNTITAN they can still expect it to be better cant they? And until now, every time a new gen rolled around the next madden would at least do something to show they trying to step up to the new hardware. But this time they phoned it in more so, almost like it was the middle of last gen lol.

I stopped playing Madden like 3 years ago because of the nonsense.
I feel for you guys about Madden, I’m Australian so I don’t know the sport to want to buy it and play it but it does not mean I don’t understand EA ruining its sport games with Ultimate team. I played Fifa as far back as 2007 and I gave up on Fifa in 2013 after a few years of FUT cards being a tumour attached to career mode. Career mode on Fifa went backwards and continues to do so even now.

The most disappointing part of Cyberpunk is not bugs,
but it is nothing like what it has been advertised for years. It is a linear game and your actions have no effect on the world. On top of that, it's all about Johnny, not even your story.
This is one of the best explanations.
Pretty sure the game was really hollow and then they got mad hype from trailers with Keanu Reeves when be was only designed to be in it for 5 mins .
So they brought Keanu back and made the game about him.
imo if they had just advertised it and made it as a linear shooter with a semi-open world, i wouldnt be this mad right now cuz i like the writing.

I believe in like May 2020 they quietly changed the description of the game, which is really dirty. - They don't even call it an RPG anymore THEMSELVES, which is baffling considering they based this game on a "pen & paper" RPG when they announced it as far back as 2012 and brought Mike Pondsmith, the creator of that game, to the presentation. - Now it isn't an RPG anymore all of a sudden?... Just because they couldn't do it?... I wonder how Pondsmith feels about this... - It's a slap in the face to EVERYONE who was into it because of what they set out to make it be.
I'm disappointed because it's not the world they described and showed in the previews. - I remember the trailer with the Trauma Team, how they arrived armored and armed and didn't take any crap from any bystanders and were just there to do their job. - It's a perfect irony that a city is so dirty and dangerous that medics basically have to be armored and armed to rescue people with a chance of needing to shoot another human down. - That sense of oppression or dread or whatever it was... That's what I wanted in the world of this game, to actually feel like there's something tangible and alive, a place that's bigger than me the player or a videogame. - But no, we get dumb T-posing characters that say nonsensical crap, traffic that can't navigate, cars flung into your face, cops that spawn behind you, areas that glitch and are unfinished and lifeless and so on and so forth.
I was only someone who had vaguely heard of this game and started looking into it in late 2019 and even I am disappointed. I don't care if it MIGHT be a decent action-game with a decent story, then I'll just play the new DOOMs or something. - It was supposed to be about the world, this one... I'm glad I bought the art-book instead of the game.
I'd never even heard of Disintegration until watching this. Goes to show how much impact it had, lol.

It's so sad that millions of people would of never expected to even see Cyberpunk end up in this list and then it ends up taking the #1, depressing AF.
Super depressing. They hyped the game up way wayyyy too much. Also really getting tired of hearing about games so many years in advance. Games get announced way too early these days
I called it 2016. A friend found some old chat logs where i told him the game will be disappointing because they promised way too much. And here we are.. it was written more as a joke..

The gaming industry is slowly turning into a "scam" industry, specially when it comes to big companies, they just hype the hell up of their upcoming game, then they underdeliver and charge you full price for it. This trend is dangerous, gamers should be more responsable with their videogame consumption.

You're so wrong. It has always been like that. That is exactly why the whole gaming industry had an actual crash and collapse back in the 1980s
Even though the industry is too greedy and soulless, what's disappointing is that it's the consumers that are empowering them. EA is the perfect example, every single year they pump out the same gambling crate filled games because they know people will spend on it. If the average consumer would just stop mindlessly buying from them, they'd actually be forced to make quality games.

Last year I seriously lost interest in most games after DOOM eternal.
I still play DMC5 to this day and I hope we get a new mass effect game that is actually better than mass effect 3 and not worse.

To be fair if they had paid for the actors' likenesses the narrative would now be that they paid so much that they couldn't afford to develop the game.
Lets be real these characters have existed for like 50+ years waaay before the time of these actors, do you really need to give actors credit for the likeness of a character that predates them? With multiple authors and editors and who knows how many changes they had? These character look generic but pinning it on not looking like the actors or insinuating that they should or it wont work, i think is completely untrue.

Tbh that shouldn't have mattered. Look at Spiderman ps4. It was a fantastic game and looked nothing like Tom Holland, Tobey maguire. The problem with avengers was lack of content and repetitive.

I actually consider Cyberpunk a good game (pc version). I got almost bugfree experience except spawning cops and disappearing crownd. Considering all main and side quests, there is a lot to do for an easy minimum of 60 hours of play time. For what it has, the game is worth what I paid for (50$). If all the missing features were actually in the game, Cyberpunk 2077 would be at least 80$.
I'm shocked The Last of Us 2 wasn't on the list, after his review. No way that a Mafia 2 remaster had many expectations.

The worst part about Cyberpunk is, that even if they released it without bugs, the game would still be shallow. It was so clear to see that they had cut off features to make the date..
And no amount of updates can fix that, cause its fundamental features that should be in the game. I have finished it and i see no reason to return to it.

nope, he/she gets 6 months ( in most endings) which we neither see or play. Which also gave me the feeling that all i tried to accomplish in the story was a waste, cause it ends kind of bad No matter what

I don't want to play a game where the character I play as dies. Dying six months after the game still counts. So I appreciate your answer.

the last of us 2 is the worst game of the year and the biggest disappointment but the game has diversity so Joe secretly loves the game. Meanwhile Joe hates Cyberpunk, one of the best games of the year, just because Cyberpunk is very anti-sjw.

I find that the quality of all games has severely declined over the recent years. Decend games are a rare gem these days and rarely are made by "AAA" devs.
Totally honest, I've said this exact thing several times this past year talking to different people. The industry in general really has went pretty downhill, going down in ethics, practices, game quality, and UP in every negative practice. Good quality/fun, even decently enjoyable games are all really rare, especially in the "AAA" market, so many are just so uninteresting and hard to get into, there are of course super fun ones still, a lot. I just agree with feeling gaming has declines, saddly. Just my opinion too btw

Man, Cyberpunk still hurts. Goddamn, I had such high hopes. CDPR had the Golden touch. But they gambled it on quick bucks. What a betrayal of trust.

But, again, "The king is dead, long live the king!", there are so many smaller studios that no one gave a damn about, hidden jems if you look closely, like Larian, 4A, the smaller indie studios... the Studio that made Devotion ( and CDPR threw under the bus fora Xi Jinping meme ).

Not necessarily shit. Take FIFA... it's technically a good game if you like soccer, however apart from roster changes, it's the same game from 10 years ago. If you want a soccer game then save yourself some money and buy FIFA 2010 for a dollar and update the roster yourself.

Most people can't afford to buy every game that comes out; the video game market is rather over saturated. As consumers, we can simply choose to buy other games than those published by EA. In fact, given the strength of the Indie market it is possible to avoid triple a games altogether if one were so inclined. Not that indie dev's are neccessary good, a lot of them are pretty crap as well, but the point is that we do have a choice.
Although, even if there was no choice, it would be better to abstain from ea games if they were the only games in town. They would stop their metaphorical puppy kicking if enough people agreed to stop buying their products until they did so. Or they would go out of business and the ip would be bought up by a different company.
Admittedly, given the way things tend to go, Konami would buy it all and we would end up in a worse position.

I thought the story was fairly good but only after a 2nd playthrough since there are so many themes that are easy to miss after a 1st playthrough. I still think the ordering of events/flashbacks could've been a bit better. Angry Joe gave it 6/10 so def. not worst of 2020 but I'm surprised he didn't put it in his disappointing list either.
