I really cannot thanking you enough. You have helped me a looooot, my grades improved drastically with your help. And I'm still using your videos and I don't think I'll stop for a while. If I manage to get my BA I'll never forget how you played a significant role in helping me build my career. Thank you^(1,000,000,000)
OMG FINALLY! THANK YOU ORGANIC CHEMISTRY TUTOR! I don't get why no one cared to explain that we are reading the limit for these piece-wise evaluations as less than or greater to the value of x that is being approached depending on the superscript sign. I was having trouble with the likes of lim x--> - a ^ + or - . Now I get how to read that, thanks organic chem tutor, you're the best!
Thanks very much professor, I remain indebted to you. You don't only know the Maths , but also knows how to disseminate the information for maximum comprehension.
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an awesome video on Piecewise Functions. These videos are very helpful in all levels of mathematics. Problem solving is the key to fully understanding old fashion mathematics.
How do i find value k when i was given a piecewise function of kx square, where x less than or equal to 2 and when x is more than 2. So that the function continuous?
But then what if we're asked to find the coefficients of x, take for example all coefficients are represented with a letter, say k... I mean instead of 5x-2 we were given kx-2 instead, where the value of k is not given and neither is the limit of x, how are we supposed to find the value of k that makes the right and the left side limits? I need this pls.
Hey, do you have videos for these problems? English is not my mother tongue I don't know how to search for these problems in your channel. BTW I LOVE the videos. Thx for the great work
Hey genius .! I know that you are expert on math i think you also know logic can you pls make a video . Indirect , direct proof . Using the rules of replacement and bla bla bla
My math professor doesn't teach in the text book. He pulls out informations somewhere else he likes and provides short lectures video and some notes with basic concepts. Then, he assigns his homework, quizzes, and tests. I have to look around UA-cam videos and self learning. Frustrated due to time consuming.
It’s defined because it’s defined by the function. ( the important part is that it’s only defined once btw. Otherwise there is a jump discontinuity and neither f(2) is defined or the limit as it approaches that value unless it’s from one side or another )
Because the limit you are looking for is x which is 2. What he was explaining is that when looking for the limit you look what the y is approaching the given x. The explanation given in the begin is meant for things such as what is f(2) not whats the limit of f(x) approaching 2

did you get it?
It’s been 4 years since this comment, have you gotten your BA?
“WHAT, still searching UA-cam for math help?! Are the videos from 2006 really helping?”
-Study pug, every goddamn second
Yes, they are actually helping
but they are from 2017?
Those adds are so dumb
Oh yea, Calc has suddenly changed in the last 10 years
dont need study pug if i have this here study plug

you have a talent showing how to do math. Thank you for sharing with the world
how did I not understand this after practicing it weeks in class but I understand it now after a 10 minute video??? 🙃🤷🏻♀️
Sameeeeee
Why has this helped me in 3 minutes when my lecture professor hasn't done shit in 8 hours worth of class
I'm getting ready for my first calculus test and this video was super helpful. Loved how you explain it so easy. kudos!!
how did it go
I can't even understand this when my teacher was explaining it. Thank you. Saved me from an exam
He saved me in high school, now im passing university for him as well
God bless you
it has been 4 years ago and the video still is available for students thank so much from djibouti
I finally understand piecewise function, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I got you in my college days. And its a matter of wonder that you are still making me easy in study also in university.
My man!! You are the GREAT!!!!! Without you i could've failed in my last semester 🤧🥺
you guys get down with the math on this Channel, thank you, so much!
great video. Ive been using his videos for 5 years now. absolute legend
dude how do u make everything seem so simple??? like WOW
JUST THANK YOU.. !!!
our teachers must learn from you.. it’s 10m here, and 2h in the university..
I wish I could show up to your doorstep with red roses and a 5000 word note on why I love you. Thank you sir. You are for ever my lifesaver.
Respected sir, If the limit approaching From the Right side , then why didn't you apply it on (x³-5x+3).. while the condition was(x>=4)??
The best teacher on you tube
Period
This guy changed my life.
Now I'm definitely going to slay that test.
Thank you, this helped a lot.
You’re too good. I hope for an A
Hey sup?
Been watching this guys vids for 5 years
You deserve awards 👏
the OG and the greatest, thank you my man
Literal life saver.
wow thank u....this z jst straight to the point...for the first tym i got it corret🤗
So I understand how you would find limits for a piecewise function when it’s for x->1+ or x->1- but how solve it if it was just x->1
Never mind I answered my own question. The answer would be DNE or does not exist.
How do i find value k when i was given a piecewise function of kx square, where x less than or equal to 2 and when x is more than 2. So that the function continuous?
You're a good man Charlie Brown.
I love you for making my life easier
is f(x) continuous at x=1? someone explain thank you in advanced
there's an issue at 3.10, if x should approach from the left side of 4, then x shouldn't equal 4
Thank you so much sir.
Thank you so much it really help me a lot 😍😍😍from Egypt

You really help me a lot
2 hours explanation in class reduced to 10mins
I still don't get it if when I can use Greater than or Greater than or equal to
Now what could be the
where are image of x as it approaches 5 is equal to
Thanks for helping, this was very helpful
Thank you so much. I can't thank you enough. I love you.
You are the jesus of fricking math
thanks ,i have a test tomorrow and this WAS a nightmare to me
Thank u
I completely dont get it 1:30, in the first one it clearly says that x
good i need that in my homework 😂👌
Now what can you do in an instance where the limit of x as it approaches 5
If the limits are very close like 13 and 14 is it still considered DNE?
3mins in the video and i already understood. 2 hours in class and they make it sooo complicated nobody gets a thing :[[
You have a good voice
Curious. Would you ever consider making another playlist for Calculus 2? Please Respond
Thanks!! Very helpful
i have a question please
if "X" tends to 4 from the left side
why should i use the second equation?
the first equation says x
that is the question only Gods can answer
Because x is also equal to 4 at the second equation nd we have to take the nearest polynomial to 4
Thanks Mark Whalberg

thank you very much sir
thumbs up
Start listening your teacher
one minute in and everything just clicks
Thanks
Thank you so much
thanks for this

finals week really here huh
Why is f(2) defined, is it because it is equal to the limit?

great video thx
My hero
Thx brooo
very nice
You made me fall in love with maths again🥲🥹
Typo in the thumbnail
you spelt piecewise like piecwise in the thumbnail (sorry I just had to point this out).
how come he uses 2 even though he said he needs a number less than two in the beginning?? 1:13
Because the limit you are looking for is x which is 2. What he was explaining is that when looking for the limit you look what the y is approaching the given x. The explanation given in the begin is meant for things such as what is f(2) not whats the limit of f(x) approaching 2

@@novadark9607 still doesn't get it plz explain it more bro?
Amazing

Whats the connection of 1.99 to 5x +3? The hell
It’s a piece wise function so based on what X is the function you apply is different. 1.99 is less than two so we used the function 5x+3.
