Ok, here's how it went - water started gushing out the back of our LG front loader, my wife shut off the water, we went three months taking our laundry down the street. I finally got off my arse and pulled the machine, disassembled the beast and discovered a large hole in the bottom of the plastic tub. Exactly as shown in your video. A mashed up dime was laying heads up in the drain pan. The coin had blasted through the plastic tub after getting caught between protruding screws on the stainless drum that come flying around super fast. Feeling beaten, I quickly put on Radiohead (OK Computer) and poured myself a beer. Then, after discovering this amazing video, I broke out my soldering iron and followed the instructions exactly, no improvising, 100% fixed. I am now listening to King Crimson (Court of...) and enjoying a glass of scotch. Thanks for making this instructional video, you saved me from a huge repair bill. - Curley
This video was 4years ago, but it just saved me a lot of money. Was able to plug a hole at the bottom of my beko washing machine. Thank you very much sir😁😁
Really useful. Saved me £££ by helping me repair my washing machine rather than buy a replacement. Thanks very much!
Thanks a lot! I just used this to fix a hole in my washing machine too. Cheers from the USA!
Thank you. This is a great video. I did as you showed us to correct the exact problem I had with my LG front loading washer. Now there is no water coming out. Thank you again.
A while ago on UA-cam, you ask me a question about your LG washer. I just thought I’d let you know that I have now made a complete playlist to assist you in any repairs that you ever have.
If it helps, you don’t forget to share it with your friends who may also own an LG.

We also expirience this in LG. One year only still in under warranty. But the LG service center says the drum only not include the plastic cover of the drum in warranty. Im feel very disapointed. Until I saw your video and show to my husband. Then we follow what you have done. Thanks to you.
Brilliant, ordered the products shown in the link above. came super quick and washing machine repaired. thank you
Very, very useful video, thank you and I really appreciate.
The only problem is that the all those three links are not working. I've tried to find somewhere else from to buy the epoxy but I couldn't find. Do you know any other option from where to buy or do you would recommend another epoxy product?
Thank you very much.
Hi , Thanks to your video I repaired my washing machine which had a hole in the drum the size of a fifty percent piece, Iuckley I fou😊nd the piece in the bottom of the washer. I put the piece in place and put epoxy putty & glue on it . Left it for 24hrs done 2 washes no leaks brilliant. Many Thanks. Dave.

I have a crack, I just did the springs, clitch, dogs, and checked the pads... And now a small leak due to a crack... Thank you so much!
thanks for the helpful video. didn't know you could use a soldering iron on the plastic to melt it. I'd accidentally knocked off a drain nipple off the outer drum that connected to the rubber door gasket drain. Had to plug the drain and for the hole left where the nipple snapped off flush with the outer drum surface, I was able to thread in an old automotive bolt like from the frame of a car. I let the bolt cut its own threads since it was slightly bigger than the hole and after I backed out the bolt and cut it to a length that will prevent it from hitting the inner drum, I coated the bolt with aquarium sealant (silicone) and just snugged it up in the hole. left the sealant dry for about 5 hours. then i ran a small load and so far no leaks, but I'm glad to see there is a way to make a more permanent fix if necessary.
Its a well explained, helpful professional level video,Thanks a lot.

Excellent!
Fantastic & super work experiences.
Thank you.☺️🤠
I'd like to know what type of plastic the drums are made out of. Had a drywall screw settle into one of the holes in the basked and scour a ring through the plastic as it spun around. Thinking of buying some plastic welding rods and using my heat gun to weld in a bead but I need to figure out what type of plastic i'm welding.
that should work please remember to subscribe as that's is was keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
Great video! How can I repair/patch a small hole that has developed in the bottom corner of a metal drum? Replacement part unfortunately discontinued. It’s an old 1990s Maytag top loader machine, excellent quality & still working well, wd like to fix if at all poss, esp after reviewing machines on the market today (ugh!). Suggestions welcome!
have a look on eBay have a look if you can find a second-hand machine with a good drum Thanks please remember to subscribe as that's is was keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
If it’s not a hole, but just a small ‘gash’ do you still need to solder the drum, or could you just use the epoxy and debor??
you might not need to do it but it is good practise to solder as it will give it strength thanks 👍 for watching and please remember to subscribe to the Channel as that's what keeps us going in able to make the video for you
Hello sir..how to fix loose thread bolt it cause leak from the bottom..thank you sir

your video is very help ful but , what you are using the putty , glue stick is not available in india.
I have a hole in the bottom of my spin basket on the plastic part. It's a whirlpool cabrio I was replacing the bearings on. Is there any way to fix that without having to buy a new basket?
Thank you so much im also fased samed issue
How lucky to have a machine with a plastic base that can be removed. I’m going to try this repair, but my machine has the metal base, meaning I will have to disassemble to remove the inner drum, making getting to the small gash I have in my outer drum, a more involved repair. I assume (hope) that with a ‘gash’, rather than large hole, in the tub, all I’ll need to do is use the epoxy and Debhor. Fingers crossed.
I have a small hole in our LG drum. Why does this occur in the first place?
What is the cause of this hole?
where you able to remove the coin? won't it happen again otherwise?
I have a rough part inside the drum on the metal it may be a tiny hole I'm unsure but it keeps making holes in my clothes would I be able to put the putty inside the drum over the rough part just to stop it ruining my clothes for now x
use a center punch to get rid sharp bit of metal if on a hole of the Thanks 👍 for watching and please remember to subscribe to the Channel as that's what keeps us going in able to make the video for you
That pulley looks different, who manufactured the Machine?
Thanks. It's very important.

i had trouble finding "Lockfast aquastick epoxy putty". Is it now a different brand name? or is that no longer being made? ref: 8:17
Debor is the name we have it a special price www.how-to-repair.com/small-economy-debor-glue-for-washing-machine.html
I have the same hole , what may cause this ???
nails screws or any metal item
What happens if you don't repair the hole? The hole is about a nail size.
Gotta be careful…the polecats just love the warmth. They come out by themselves too!!
Hey this is great stuff - even tho my holes a bit bigger, I've got your epoxy and original plastic for HALF the hole, so here goes - gonna melt in most the area reinforce with Aquaustik & that other glue you use...
( Confession - there was some kind of glitch w your site (Aquastik out of stock or something ? Didnt seem to work) so I had to look elsewhere - sorry about that - I like passing you a few bob as these vids are real helpful! )
sorry was not in stock thanks 👍 for watching and please remember to subscribe to the Channel as that's what keeps us going in able to make the video for you
@@How-to-repair Of course! Looks like the op was successful touchwoood - ran it at low temp for a while to check - was a bit paranoid, so did a plastic weld job PLUS patch of Aquastik epoxy over weld area AND that mega glue round the edges..
THEN got paranoid that any jagged edge IN the drum might catch on something so used a scrapey blade + hot knife thu a hole in the inner metal drum ( removing one of these 'beater' things ) to make a reasonably flat surface
One little thing I discovered, you put a hi-power LED light IN the drum you can see see THROUGH it (darkened room) too see the plastic welds thickness.. Might do a vid of my OWN now ;) Thanks !
"nice repair" ive remove my drum the holes is just behind the concrete weight on the front
how do you spell the glue name "debo"??? ref: 11:06
debor is the name we have it a special price www.how-to-repair.com/small-economy-debor-glue-for-washing-machine.html
www.how-to-repair.com/small-economy-debor-glue-for-washing-machine.html
If it starts to leak, as some machines will, when your not there....well.......sooner spend £170 on a new washer as the damage that could result could run into £1000's ......
do you know how many machine these days are equipped with leak sensor in the draining pan and plus...with that much how could you possibly get a reasonably good machine? just low end stuff
