Fantastic dual guitars, a pulsing rhythm section and of course the soaring vocals of Brad Delp - one of the greatest voices ever. Not a single bad song on the entire album. “Something About You” is one of the greatest songs ever laid to tape.
Great picks, except for maybe the beetles. I'd go with Zeppelin IV over II, just because of how huge that album was. You mentioned CCR, but id have to go with their Green River album. However, I don't think you can do a classic rocks album list without Lynyrd Skynyrd's, (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd), although southern rock was around, this album just busted it wide open. Nice list man. Personally i would change Paranoid for Masters of Reality, Zep II for Physical Graffitti, Electric Ladyland for Axis Bold as Love. Throw in Montrose by Montrose, Night at the Opera by Queen , Machine Head by Deep Purple , Quadrophenia by the Who, Johnny the Fox by Thin Lizzy amongst many others but music is subjective, we love what we love, the world would be a duller place if we all thought the same way.
Great time span to work to. Good Doors choice. Crimson live were really loud. Heard Starman on a car radio hitch hiking from Turkey to UK in 1972 and was blown away. Sorry like B Sabbaths 1st . Great choices My favourite there The Grateful Dead
Great list man, I think it's important for people just getting into vinyl who maybe didn't grow up with rock to know where to start! Also could you do a top 10 "Deep cut" classic rock LPs? Stuff you think is essential for the people who love the Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Who style rock, that'd be a great list and the comments could be a great place for discussion as well
I’m pretty much with you with most of those. Especially The Doors, Zeppelin and Bowie. I’d have to personally drop a Who album in there and something by Deep Purple as well.
Man that was a great list. I love the passion you have for classic rock and I share your love for all these bands and records. LZ is also my favorite band and I usually pick four of their records in my top 10. Glad that you also chose King Crimson, who are practically the Godfathers of prog rock, and Rush, my second favorite band. Good stuff
If you were looking for a more hard rock focused list, allow me: Appitite For Destruction - Guns N Roses 1984 - Van Halen Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue Back In Black - AC/DC Metal Health - Quite Riot Ride The Lightning - Metallica Pyromania - Def Leppard Open Up And Say. . . Ahh!! - Poison Boston - Boston Stay Hungry - Twisted Sister 15 - Buckcherry Paranoid - Black Sabbath Blizzard Of Ozz - Ozzy Osborne Blackout - Scorpions Skid Row - Skid Row Amongst others that I can't think of right now
Great list! You seem to have so many interesting pressings. I'm interested in learning what slight differences you hear in different pressings. My system is to the point that I can usually detect a digital source, but in doing an A/B of different analog pressings of Aja or whatever I have a hard time really telling the differences.
Great list. What press was that Abraxas half-speed master? I have an OG that lovely but full of crackly goodness and warn grooves. It was my mother’s copy and I’m never parting with it, but would love an better sounding one to spin without dropping a couple hundred to hunt down the MoFi.
Great list do a top 10 soul!!! Here's my 10 classic rock: 1. Physical Grafitti 2. Velvet & Nico 3. Number 1 Record - Big Star 4. Abby Road 5. All Things Must Pass - George Harrison 6. Exhile on Main St. - Stones 7. Blind Faith - '68 s/t 8. Animals - Floyd 9 Electric Ladyland 10 Paranoid - BS
Good list !!! Music is subjective. I also like feel that" Wish You Were Here" is PF best album. I think Jeff Becks " Truth" is better than any of the early LZ albums. I would have put any of your honorable mentions over Sabbath, but other than that your list is very good !!!
Wish You Were Here has always spoken to me much more than Dark Side. Was my favorite for years til I was ready for Animals. Dark Side and The Wall don't do as much for me
I love the honorable mention of CCR's Cosmo's Factory. It is often overlooked for it's importance by critics. It has always held a special place in my heart because it is the album that turned me on to rock music over 50 years ago.

#40-31
#30-21
#20-11
#10-1
So we can all speculate and make our empty threats of what will happen if our picks are not included LOL.
That’s a good idea!
Great video! The Stones let it bleed is spot on the Dead it is too close to call with working mans and American. Thank for share with the VC
Who's next has to be on every top 10 classic rock album list.
I'll bare knuckle fist fight anyone who disagrees 😁
Come at me bro!

I have never seen such a great vinyl collection in my life from someone on youtube ,👏👏👏
I have to agree with your pick of "Wish you were here" over "The Dark Side of the Moon". All in all a very good list.
Great top ten, well chosen and justifiable classics. Agree with your number one too. Great stuff.
Good stuff
Thanks for watching! 🙏
If you were looking for a more hard rock focused list, allow me:
Appitite For Destruction - Guns N Roses
1984 - Van Halen
Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue
Back In Black - AC/DC
Metal Health - Quite Riot
Ride The Lightning - Metallica
Pyromania - Def Leppard

Boston - Boston
Stay Hungry - Twisted Sister

Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Blizzard Of Ozz - Ozzy Osborne
Blackout - Scorpions
Skid Row - Skid Row
Amongst others that I can't think of right now
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Your opinion.........is excellent. Thank you.
Nope, dark side of the moon is hands down the greatest album ever recorded. And you didn’t put it in the top 10?
🤣
Great list! You seem to have so many interesting pressings. I'm interested in learning what slight differences you hear in different pressings. My system is to the point that I can usually detect a digital source, but in doing an A/B of different analog pressings of Aja or whatever I have a hard time really telling the differences.
Thank you!
Great list. What press was that Abraxas half-speed master? I have an OG that lovely but full of crackly goodness and warn grooves. It was my mother’s copy and I’m never parting with it, but would love an better sounding one to spin without dropping a couple hundred to hunt down the MoFi.
I agree that Wish You Were Here is better...

Less talk, more rock!!!
Good list !!! Music is subjective. I also like feel that" Wish You Were Here" is PF best album. I think Jeff Becks " Truth" is better than any of the early LZ albums. I would have put any of your honorable mentions over Sabbath, but other than that your list is very good !!!
1971 was the best, hands down, year in classic rock history PERIOD!
Wish You Were Here IS better than Dark Side.. I agree.
Hmmm... thought it was just me! 😃
No, apparently we are not alone 🤣 👽
Wish You Were Here has always spoken to me much more than Dark Side. Was my favorite for years til I was ready for Animals. Dark Side and The Wall don't do as much for me
No Queen? No Who? No Eagles? No Elton John? No Boss? Alice Cooper before the band split?
Like your taste! Can’t help missing Deep purple and Lynyrd skynyrd.
Great essentials collection! Though Pardo wouldn’t approve. No Deep Purple. Fix that, and you attain album Tranquillity.
Great list. I realize this is your opinion, but no highway 61 revisited?
I love that album, I see Dylan as Folk-Folk rock, it that’s just how my brain reads it.
I love the honorable mention of CCR's Cosmo's Factory. It is often overlooked for it's importance by critics. It has always held a special place in my heart because it is the album that turned me on to rock music over 50 years ago.
Loved every minute of this. Solid list. Though my heart broke just a bit when Abraxas didn’t make the top 10. (The honorable mention made up for it.)
