Yes they were great avatars before Aang but his the best among them. I maging ending the war the fire nation started. Aang, Katara and Toph perfect combination.
Fr and aang mastered the 3 other elements, the avatar state and energy bending all in a year and learned to redirect lighting and see with his feet idk if any other avatars could see with their feet
@kato9158 But he didn’t master them when he face ozai the episode before he leaves on the lion turtle katara and toph both said he could still use more work in their respected elements and he barely started w/ zuko the dragons aided but that didn’t teach him techniques other than the dancing dragon who’s is only a handful of moves
I'd personally consider Aang one of the worst avatars tbh. He was reckless and selfish. Willing to take risks he couldn't afford to take and risking countless of lives in the process. He's a massive liability if anything.
I find it very hilarius that for ang and zuko to learn from the dragons they had to find the lost civilization of sun warriors and earn the favor of the dragons and a whole ritual, while wan was probably chilling in the tub with one and casually said “wanna dance”
In the New Korra movie coming Out I hope they find a way to retcon her connection to previous avatars. That always pissed me off that they did that. So many points in season 3 and 4 where Im like "Oh man I wonder if any of the other Avatars would be able to say or do anything helpful here"

Was it not Roku who said, in S1:E16 - The Deserter, “I have mastered the elements a thousand of times in a thousand lifetimes. Now, I must do it once again.” Where are these triple-digit estimates of how many avatars there have been coming from? Especially when you have the avatar himself saying thousands?
See i was confused by that too. Especially because the harmonic convergence happens every 10k years and when wan was involved as the first avatar, it would have been 10k years until harmonic convergence in korras time so i feel like there would have been a lot more avatars within 10k years
Each nation had their own methods to identify the avatar. The air nation had the toys which in my opinion is very fitting. It’s a nation that is peaceful, playful and built on community rather than blood ties. Every single air nation avatar was able to recognise the toys their previous incarnation played with. It also helped the air nomads to identify the avatar from a young age, instead of wait until the avatar turned 16 ❤

@kato9158
But he didn’t master them when he face ozai the episode before he leaves on the lion turtle katara and toph both said he could still use more work in their respected elements and he barely started w/ zuko the dragons aided but that didn’t teach him techniques other than the dancing dragon who’s is only a handful of moves
I'd personally consider Aang one of the worst avatars tbh. He was reckless and selfish. Willing to take risks he couldn't afford to take and risking countless of lives in the process. He's a massive liability if anything.
Delusion
Love this , especially the Kuruk lore. Studying a lot of lore right now for a ATLA dnd style podcast coming early 2024
Kuruk has always been my favourite avatar, but now realising how sad his story is, i like him even more
“A todos los que lean esto: ¡Les deseo lo mejor que su vida les pueda dar! 💚💚”
muchas nachos
Fantastic editing and narration 🤘
Funny how all of the Avatar struggle with accomplishing world peace but all acknowledge woman are hot😂
Oh fuck yeah a nearly 3 hour video on Avatar
Let's gooooooo
I WOULD TRULY LOVE TO SEE THE FULL TIMELINE OF UNCLE IROH ❣️❣️❣️
I find it very hilarius that for ang and zuko to learn from the dragons they had to find the lost civilization of sun warriors and earn the favor of the dragons and a whole ritual, while wan was probably chilling in the tub with one and casually said “wanna dance”
In the New Korra movie coming Out I hope they find a way to retcon her connection to previous avatars. That always pissed me off that they did that. So many points in season 3 and 4 where Im like "Oh man I wonder if any of the other Avatars would be able to say or do anything helpful here"
And take away all the impact season 2 had uppon the overall story? No thank you.
That's actually what was so traumatic about it, it had serious consequences for the series. Why would they retcon that?
@@toumabyakuya WHAT IMPACT
@@RobGradyVO Oh, I don't know, maybe the fact that hundred if not thousands of Avatar lifes and expriences were lost at that moment?. Retconing this would not only that the weight away from that moment, but also from Azula killing Aang.
@@toumabyakuya maybe but aang Was the OG avatar and the beginning of the series as a whole without him this show would never have become so popular and the fact that Korra lost her connection makes everyone angry like how the fuck do you lose your past lives there literally your past lives I don’t think that everyone’s mad about the fact that she lost the other avatars they’re mad about the fact that aang is gone now
Aang made the series 10x better
“While Unalaq was attacking Raava” and “However his connection to Korra was severed to to Unalaqs assault on, and subsequent destruction of the light spirit” was said for every… single… avatar…😂
Bro this video is so good. I listened to it before sleep and your voice just made me calm but still curious of the story u were telling. Thank you! I wouldnt know this much without you.
I have a theory- Every single avatar is just wan in a different body (hence the name avatar) because their just the avatar of wan?
been waiting for this one :D
Was it not Roku who said, in S1:E16 - The Deserter, “I have mastered the elements a thousand of times in a thousand lifetimes. Now, I must do it once again.” Where are these triple-digit estimates of how many avatars there have been coming from? Especially when you have the avatar himself saying thousands?
See i was confused by that too. Especially because the harmonic convergence happens every 10k years and when wan was involved as the first avatar, it would have been 10k years until harmonic convergence in korras time so i feel like there would have been a lot more avatars within 10k years
For sure and the room in the southern air temple shows hundreds of avatars. Surely each other air temple has more and more too
@@Spookylipsif every avatar lived 30-100 years on average there would be far less. The wan story was dumb and rava shouldn't be a thing
Can we agree it's weird that they know who the avatar is by seeing what toys the kid chooses.
For sure, Kyoshi was born in one of the territories of Earth Kingdom.
So the avatar cycle happened bc one boy everyday steel food???
I wanna know who was the first Air Nomad Avatar after Wan.
Avatar Gun
If I was gonna write a story about an avatar I would have him communicate with kurick just to be a smoking or drinking buddy I feel like he would definitely do that
Well, it's canon that Kuruk and Kyoshi have some sort of sibiling relationship, and it's not like Roku-Aang Aang-Korra type of relationship
Finally you are making an avatar vídeo after many years
Soo did I miss the Korra and Asami romance build up? It sort of felt like it came out of no where. Was I blind?
Yes
@@mandstv0709 when did the build up happen? For the longest I thought she was wasnt even interested in her more the boyfriend It had to be in the last season
@@zrocker101 there really is no build up apart from starting in season 3 Asami does build up a friendship with korra now that they are done with mako but other than that their isn't really a build up its honestly very lackluster
@@collincaperton6718 yea it did feel lack luster. Haha over all a great show that was just my nitpick for it really.
@@collincaperton6718 Plenty of little hints that they're interested in each other, like Asami being literally the only person she wrote to. At any rate the point is that was the start of them exploring how they felt for each other.
The avatar cycle is: Fire. Air. Water. Earth. So the fourth person was an earth based avatar…. So the 128th avatar would also be earth and starting over would make Kora the 131st (this is based off math, but I’m only 13 minutes in and I love both shows but don’t recall anything that would indicate how many avatars there are. In the beginning of this video he mentions about 133 … so that’s why I went to numbers around there
Kyoshi story is really 😭😭😭
By Brigid finally a video where someone correctly calls the Spirit-Oasis Bridge keeper Wann befriends an "Eyeye"
Korra had to overcome sooo much like the hate is uncalled for
I think the dislike is largely for the writing and execution of Book Two. The subsequent Books Three and Four were considerably better, in my humble opinion.
I ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT THE *** AVATAR THE LAST AIR BENDER SERIES ***
LAID OUT IN DETAIL FROM BEGINNING TO END AND IN THE RIGHT HANDS WOULD HAVE TRULY BEEN A MASSIVE BOX-OFFICE HIT IN THEATERS ❣️❣️❣️
IN AN ANIMATED SERIES ❣️❣️❣️
WHEN THE MOVIE CAME OUT *** AND WAS SUCH A FAILURE *** I TRULY THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD TRULY BE THE END OF SUCH AN AMAZING STORY 💔💔💔
LONG LIVE THE AVATAR SERIES ❣️🙏❣️
What if Roku did kill Sozin? How will the story change?
In my opinion, the avatar cycle would've continued as normal, aang still might have slept for 100 years because if I remember correctly (havent seen the show in a while) he slept because he was being taken away from his friend. He would've woken up to a perfectly normal world, and would have died at a normal age (excluding the whole 100 year sleep thing)
Basically, the war wouldn't have happened
@@Kazperh If Sozin died, they wouldn’t have had a reason to tell Aang he was the avatar before he was 16. He would’ve been more mature, and less likely to run away.
@@julianreese3971 if i remember he ran away cause of the war so he probably wouldn't run away and even if he did it probably wouldn't be on the stormy night
I hope the next series they announced for next year let's the new avatar be able to connect with the past avatars that Korra lost connection with since Raava might have had time to heal and reconnect with them.
Considering those statues and how they helped Korra Reconnect with Raava, I'd say that would be the key to restoring the connection
I had no idea about same sex relation moments in this series till now. I guess it would make sense that they would keep it out of both the animated series at the times they came out. They were already showing brief/on-going examples of political tensions, ideologies, corruption, and war crimes...
The fact there are 183 different avatars and we don’t even know a tenth is crazy😭
Watching avatar and seeing its characters after 7 years was amazingly nostalgic
This is Awesome, was looking for some avatar video
You should do a (life of Vegeta from Dbz) video. It would be great to here his story. Your other Dbz content is done rather well.
We know next to nothing about Vegeta's childhood. It literally goes from. Planet Vegeta was destroyed. He serves for about 3 decades under Frieza and then the events of DBZ
The life of a back up dancer
If jinora wasn’t in some situations the avatar cycle could have ended and also if there was no metal bending
Everybody wants Genji to be the next canon Avatar.
I for sure do lol
No they don’t. I hope that fanfiction trash stays far away from the canon. It’s terribly unoriginal.
@@AZ-697 how is it trash?
@@yaboyjackiechan1483 it lacks originality and is just trashy fan fiction that felt the need to kill Korra off young just to push its lame story. The creators have never acknowledged the fanfiction and never will despite the lies and attempts people make to present it as canon. It will never be canon.
@@AZ-697 ok and what exactly is wrong with killing Korra off young how is that unoriginal? Your talking as if it's an absolutely horrible thing that should never be done all avatars die she just died young what's the issue
We need a game (not escape from the spirit world) that’s about the past Avatar’s pasts
Hey, The Amagi. You guys should definitely do a video on the life of Mirajane Strauss from Fairy Tail. I want to know her origins and how she obtained her satan soul powers.
Aren’t sozins comet with ozai kinda like harmonic convergence with unalaq?
Well.. Yes but actually sozins comet was realized much better over the course of 3 seasons.
While harmonic convergence was introduced in one season to give them a dbz style fight and then immediatly Inconsequential.
I can't believe I'm done I don't have to look for episodes after episodes thank you so much for this video
