7:07 "Kris DID go down but all it took was a couple of burgers to get them back up" I'm just imagining kris getting downed and susie just places a darkburger on the ground nearby and kris jolts back up aggressively eating the burger like a feral animal
Fun Fact! You can farm infinite Dark Dollars in the Castle Town by getting a Lancer Cookie selling it to Shawm getting another and repeating that process.
@@NovemberJoy Yeah but dog residue may be faster since you can sell all your dog residue until you have 1 and exits tem's shop and use dog residue again and sell it again until you have one and exit tem's shop and use dog residue again and repeat process
Technically, in that footage she got hit a total of three times...Not that it matters, since it was only dealing 1 damage. Toby seems to have a thing against big, flashy super moves...
Makes sense, imagine if the final attack was actually significantly stronger than every other attack. You'd have to beat the entire rest of the fight up to that point for another attempt
@i asked In Deltarune, no. Or at least not in chapters 1 and 2, can't say for sure with future chapters. Undertale, obviously yes he dodges your attacks when you fight him.
i love how every time he says berdly, he swaps out his name for something else 13:08 "...until we meet up with barley again in this alleyway. burger is a lot more difficult.."
It...really did make for an epic moment, didn't it? And it actually wasn't necessary - I could've revived them as soon as they went down after the deadly [HeartAttack] and they would've lived through Power of NEO just like Susie did. Means I could definitely optimize this further once the rest of the game comes out, though!
Just a tip, you can use violence on Birdly, Queen, and Spamton and still get the pacifist ending since they aren't recruited. Same is true with both Lancer fights for some reason.
That's true, you can! I wanted to stop Twitter's arm from becoming a fried chicken wing, though, and thankfully I succeeded. Spamton NEO might be possible with the pacifist method as well, I just didn't try it after the violence method was such a close call. Thanks for the tip!
fun fact that not everyone knows: Playing Dumb + N-action gives more TP then Playing Smart in Berdly's Second Fight. Edit: Let See how many... 141 LIKES?! thanks guys edit 2: thx for 198 likes.
I am actually surprised that you managed to do It in pacifist as fighting has a lot of reward in chapter 2. • Kris, Susie and Ralsei gain +2 maximum HP for each encounter defeated violently, up to 160 Kris, 190 Susie and 140 for Ralsei. • but Susie also gains a +1 HP every two encaunters. •For every 10 encounters everyone's attack increases by 1. •For every 10 encounters everyone's Magic (except Kris) increases by 1. However I don't think that HP increases with fighting, however, still surprised that you did It, because you missed a lot of HP and quick battles. The Mannequin grants 35% And the Frayed Bowtie grants 15% resistance to spamton's attacks so that could have helped. But congratulations for doing It!
Yeah, fighting helps, but I wanted to try groveling like a total loser first, and it worked! I knew about the Mannequin, but I mistook the FrayedBowtie (which is listed as B.ShotBowtie in Spamton's shop) and the actual B.ShotBowtie you get from Swatch. Thanks for the comment!
@@furiouscorgi6614 yeah after writing this comment 3 months ago I discovered what happened with the HP depending of the people you befriended which means that if you didn't get anyone your HP will suck, tho I consider the giga Queen fight more of a minigame than an actual fight... Which probably makes the GIGA Queen fight impossible if you don't use a glich there is to Skip It basically or actually win the fight somehow.
I believe there's something you can do in the first Berdly fight to completely skip Queen's fight with Berdly, can't remember what though. Edit: I looked it up, and it seems like you just need to defeat him by depleting his HP in any of the previous two fights, as the wiki explains: "Defeating Berdly by depleting his HP in any of Berdly's first two fights prevents the party from freeing Berdly from Queen's cable without hurting him in the first Queen fight." "If Berdly is defeated through fighting in any of his battles, the fight against Queen ends differently as he tries to pull the plug off his face prematurely."
Sadly, this does not skip the Queen fight with Berdly present, it just guarantees the worse outcome for the Queen fight. However, there was actually an unfinished variant of the Queen battle with Berdly missing, which presumably would've been used for the Snowgrave route before it was decided to skip her battle altogether in that route! It does crash upon ending the fight, since it's unfinished, but it has several changes, including a different Check description and an extra attack that's normally unused to replace Berdly's wind gusts.
I actually managed to beat Chapter 1 and 2 (not including Giga Queen) without dodging or using items. I think I had to use violence to have enough HP to beat Spamton, though
Interesting...I didn't realize doing violences made that much of a difference. I can only assume Spamton was pretty difficult, but I guess you did eventually make it past
After seeing how the Spamton Neo fight went, I'm actually glad you didn't end up getting Devilsknife from the Jevil save data. Makes Susie's Rude Buster cheaper to use and stronger thanks to the stat buff. It being such a close fight was way more interesting!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I thought it was a pretty exhilarating fight too! Makes me wonder if I'd need the Devilsknife for later fights or if it'd just be a hindrance with its Chapter 1 stats. That'll have to wait until later chapters are released, though!
Oh, hey, you make Deltarune content too! I checked out your "Desperate Snap Only" video, and that was definitely an interesting idea! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and hopefully you'll enjoy anything else I put out in the future. Yeah, l had to do something with that game crash, and it seemed like a good idea. Glad you enjoyed that part.
@@NovemberJoy Oh thanks! Really just thought it up on the spot on stream and figured hey, why not? And yeah I'm definitely looking forward to your content, you're making some cool stuff!
ok hear me out: if you werent doing all recruits you could do snowgrave until birdly and then just iceshock him to death instead of using snowgrave, which'll put the game back to normal
Yeah, that is an option. It would have made things a little easier, too, but I wanted to keep the pacifism going for extra difficulty. I'll see about tackling Snowgrave at another time...Thanks for the comment!
@ensignmarker 312 He said to just abort Snowgrave at Berdly, however, your statement is indeed correct. I am not even sure Kris could make it pass the second attack
It's not a huge thing, but I definitely didn't intend it, and I was worried it'd be a problem since you can't get it otherwise. Good to know it's not a problem, though!
4:23 Even without the manual you can pacify him just need to attack 1 time perfectly with kris and Ralsei he'll became tired and you can pacify him Also in the 11:04 berdly fight if you manage get his Hp below 48% in 3 or 4 turns You can pacify him too!(This still counts as Pacifist) And also same with werewerewire I haven't tired with werewerewire How many turns to get they Hp to 48% Impressive :0 you're the first one that to no dodge spamton neo! (Fighting way) congrats keep up the content! We all supporting you!
I didn't know about those specific Pacify methods...I just learned something from this comment! I didn't realize that counted as pacifist for Berdly, either...I don't believe I'm the first to do Spamton NEO without dodging, but that doesn't mean it wasn't difficult. Thanks for the comment!
@@NovemberJoy Also here I forgot to tell instead of buying 18:56 BUTJuice you would have buy the teas that sells teas which is only 100 Dark Dollars (Sorry I forgot the place name) because some tea heals 120 for party members I will tell teas that heals for 120 Hp Kris tea: It heals 120 HP for Susie and Ralsei Susie tea: it heals 120 HP for Kris and Ralsei Ralsei tea: It only heals 120 HP for Kris Noelle tea: It only heals 120 HP for Susie Sorry for mentioning this bit late
Holy shit I just re-watched your no dodging Undertale vid and and checked your channel and you made another one! Idk why but I find these arbitrary video game challenges way more interesting when it's with intricately crafted games like this
I have a feeling a lot of people might find this video that way. I find arbitrary video game challenges interesting in general, but it's always more interesting when it's in a game with room for extra strategies. Thanks for the comment!
Skip's part of what inspired me to make these videos, so I'm glad you're enjoying it! My friend Damion, aka BowserGalaxy10, was the one who came up with Kryple, so you can throw him a little love if you want. Not LOVE, though, I don't think he would appreciate that.
That's why I had to include it in the video. I found it hard to believe too that I got that lucky to have every single shot miss me even when I just sat in the middle of the box doing nothing!
This is correct, I just didn't know about that at the time. I was hoping they'd take down Kris, but instead they used all their time hitting everyone BUT Kris. Not that it mattered in the end.
Oh wow, was really waiting for this vid! 👀 Congrats on actually doing it pacifist! I was planning on doing Chapter 2 full pacifist myself but, yeaaaah, a bunch of stuff happened, and I now have a new PC, so, no Deltarune (no save files either, eh), but still, congrats, pal! I didn't think it would be possible, but alas, never say never. Now, some comments about the challenge itself: -Jevil is 100% not gonna be possible no-dodge, since he's so chaotic and basically made to be "uncheesable". -I find it funny how the entire chapter is super easy but the final boss is suddenly hard, just like the second chapter 🤔, pretty much shows the strenght of your adversaries -Oh yeah, you have to have defeated Jevil previously, the save file you're on doesn't matter, you just have to do it once. It doesn't give out huge buffs or anything, so yeah I'd say it's okay to use it (tfw I myself defeated Spamton regularly and forgot to unequip the glasses in my own run, whoops) -Ah yes, Burghley. This KFC lad is one of the biggest roadblocks in chapter 2, especially his latter encounter. A key rule I figured out, not only for this fight but in general - is to not allow any party member to go below N health. Let's say "50", so if anyone gets down to 50 or less - heal them ASAP -Not only you are not playing with all 3 characters, he also gets additional attacks that just gurantee to hit you. The very first tornado one is not even random, you get hit, lose HP, and that's constant. Not exactly great for a no dodge run :/ -And yes, Sleep Mist, it's the thing I wasn't able to cast proper due to Noelle going down 99% of the time. You really have to keep an eye on her, otherwise get ready to lose this fight, Werewires are relentless Still, glad to see you made it out without resorting to violence! :) -If Heal Deal wasn't an option, I'd say the fight would've not been possible, OR just really long and drawn out. The cycle is this: Deal -> Get TP -> Heal -> Get TP -> Heal Deal -> Repeat -The Mansion minibosses (Tasque Manager excluded) are just bad, in terms of difficulty. Mausewheel is what made me quit the first time, no joke...Mainly because I was distraught by something else, but still, it was kinda bad, but yeah, all you need to do is to time your ACTs correctly -Oh boy, Rouxls. You can really cheese the fight by just creating a duck in the first chapter, since every attack (except the boxes) will deal one damage to you, yeah, I know, funny duck boat gives funny low damage. Also, the best strategy in any case is to just cut his houses off so the battle ends in a stalemate prematurely -The Queen was the most stressful fight in the game, at least in my opinion. As far as I know, it can be ended in like, 3-4 turns? But the downside is that you have to ditch pacifism -HOLY HELL WHAT????? YOU ACTUALLY MANAGED THIS? HOLY, You sir, are a legend. Spamton NEO is the most difficult boss in the game as of "right now", but, you just went ahead and did it. Not really by pacifism, but still, mad respect! Once again, congrats for completing this both pacifist AND Spamton. You most definitely deserve more attention on this video 👀 We'll see how possible Chapters 3, 4 and 5 will be in the future! ;)
Hey, I was hoping to see you here! I thought doing Chapter 2 fully pacifist was an option after checking your video, so I'm glad it turned out to be true. -I had to give Jevil a good shot. That's also why I showed off his fight with the detail that I did - there's no magic, no RNG, and no speed or cheese strategies that could save us from him. -As for Barley, his tornado attack in the second fight at least has a silver lining - you get about 8% TP every time it hits you due to four projectiles closing in on you. I'd still prefer to not get hit in the face with a tornado, but you take what you can get. I had a feeling it was possible without using violence, but I didn't know until I tried it for myself. -I'm still a little ashamed at how difficult I made Roulxs in this run. All I had to do was make a duck and take the damn houses. -I'd seen other videos of people fighting Spamton NEO without dodging, so I thought I had to be able to pull it off - and after more than a few attempts, I got it! Trying pacifist sounds appealing, but I'm not so sure I can do it when I barely survived the easier method. Still doesn't mean it's impossible, though. Thanks again for the huge comment! I hope people enjoy this a lot, and I'll make sure to check later chapters as soon as they're available to play. I only wonder what kinds of weird challenges I can subject myself to...
I couldn't help but make use of such a well-timed crash. I think I messaged a friend when it happened to describe the new KrisGrave route I found, too. Thanks for the comment!
Ain't no item that heals THAT much HP! That's just from both characters healing and being right beside each other, so the numbers are much closer. Funny to imagine it, though!
Reasons why Snowgrave Spamton NEO is impossible: 1. You only fight with Kris 2. You actually have to hit him until he is at 10% 3.He fights the same way he does in his normal encounter 4. No defense items really make you survive longer Edit: Also: 5.The best healing items are bagels 6.Some of the items(ex. Mannequin) are not accessible
If you really like "Kryple", give the credit to my friend BowserGalaxy10/Damion, he's the one who came up with it. I'm glad you enjoyed the different names I gave to Burmy - I might actually make use of "Revali" yet, just you wait.
"We get to watch Noelle cast choke-grave" Why did this take away my capability to breathe temporarily? No clue. Berdly violence is just funny to me, I guess
Well, it is ChokeGrave...maybe the pure energy of the spell took your ability to breathe temporarily, who knows? Berdly violence is funny sometimes, even if I went out of my way to avoid it in this run. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of the video too!
10:41 Actually, i discover a glitch that makes you skip their fight in my playthrough To skip them, Act (Dance) and only dance, not danceX, and once you do it hit them with another member, either susie or ralsei or both, this will make them drink that milk which will skip the fight, do it again and again and susie will talk and then you will be able to dance with all of them
I found out about it later - quite a useful trick to take the challenge out of the fight, and useful if you're trying to no-hit the whole game. Thanks for the comment!
Glad you enjoyed! I'll wait and see what the full game has in store - it should make for a good challenge if these first two chapters are anything to go by.
I personally feel like doing the Roulx Karrd battle without blocking him off from winning should be a bonus challenge for Deltarune chapter 2 challenge runs.
Hm, that would be interesting, and I would've been able to do it with more healing items and luck. Fun fact, though - the save point right beforehand disappears if you load from it. I actually thought I might've softlocked myself, until I tried blocking him off like normal and realized how dumb my strategy was!
Because I don't do what I'm told. I'm an edgy rebel: that's why when Ralsei told me I should dodge bullets for the fate of the world, I instead decided to never move at all and tank every single hit!
I'm really sorry, but I did notice one way you could have made it easier. You actually could have used the spin cake during the king fight, as you can get it from the baker at the beginning of chapter 2, and it gets buffed to be mechanically identical.
It's 20 HP less than the Top Cake. I could have made things easier during the King fight, but it still worked out fine, and the slight bit of extra healing gave a little extra peace of mind during Spamton NEO since I'm not using this save file when later chapters come out anyway. Thanks for the comment!
Did you know that during rouxls fight, you can win in 3 turns by defending with kris/ralsei on the first turn, then grinding tp from attack. Then you buy the most expensive act and make a pattern that goes diagonal, then grind some more for tp, then you can afford the act again, which you have to use to block off all of his houses. I figured this out literally the first time I fought him
Yeah, you can win very quickly if you know what to do. I really should've just tried it from the start. It was way more effective than beating him up by far. Thanks for the comment!
I believe in you! You can definitely pull it off normally with enough practice and items. I brought both Club Sandwiches, two Revive Mints, and the Top Cake into the fight, if that tells you enough about how items help.
I actually have been doing this run, beat every boss except for jevil for chapter 1, still got to kill giga queen for chapter 2. Glad to see someone else has tried it, hope you don't mind if I see what you have done. Anyway you can keep your chapter 1 inventory and if you use that cake then it transfers to chapter 2, you get new one.
Yeah, the Spin Cake would've been almost as good, but I thought the full 160 HP from the Top Cake was worth it since I won't be keeping this inventory for later chapters once they release. Hope you enjoyed this video detailing my experience with the run, and good luck with Giga Queen!
@@NovemberJoy I did. I never considered trying to tank giga Queen until I had enough tp. I reckon with the other secret bosses, the hardest will either be the blue soul.
Oh, yeah, it is! I didn't think too much about that. It would put a little more strategy into what items to bring and who to use them on. I'm not sure it would make a huge difference, but it might be enough to snap all his strings with default stats...? Maybe I'll try it when I revisit Deltarune in the future.
23:50 same applies to jevils final chaos, which I found out during a failed no hit attempt lol. At the end of that attack you can also go above the massive jevilsknife without taking damage, which I found out by just fighting jevil for fun (where I also realized that you can time rude buster for more damage, felt really stupid after I figured thst one out)
I didn't realize you could go above it...Huh. I knew Final Chaos was percentage-based as well, but it didn't matter for the run because it was impossible to reach Final Chaos. I guess everyone learns things differently - at least you did eventually figure it out, right?
November, the part where you added the IceShock at the crash was great. I thought it was a callout to the Snowgrave route where you leave her behind at the puzzle ✨😎
Yeah, it is kinda like that...I'm glad you liked that little gag I added in, alongside using the Snowgrave variation of "WELCOME TO THE CITY" afterwards.
Glad you enjoyed it! You have high standards for challenges, so it's good to know this gets your seal of approval. I hope there's more super-difficult fights in future chapters that I can strategise around.
Its amazing how you still reply to every comment you get even on older vids. I also love your content, so your dedinetly earned a sub. Adore your videos!
I try to go through comments every so often and answer all of them. Sometimes, they say some pretty interesting things. Glad you enjoyed, hopefully there'll be new content coming before too long!
Yeah...Burger was right, wasn't it? I'll have to ask Barley about his name so I can make sure. Thanks for the comment! Hope it didn't hurt too much when I made you explode.
It is a nice reference, and one I didn't expect. I'm really glad he doesn't actually have 8000 HP, otherwise beating him with violence might have been impossible. He's got around 4,800, if I remember correctly, and I barely made it through that. Thanks for the comment!
Makes sense. How'd it go for you? Hopefully it went well, and hopefully you still enjoyed this video even if you'd already tried a challenge like this in the past!
@@NovemberJoy It's also epic that you're reading all these comments, your channel is the size I'd expect you to have stopped taking time to answer comments already, you have my respect. I don't watch most of your videos because they're about games I'm not interested in, but I really like your style and commentary, so I'll definetely be back when more Deltarune comes out.
If I find more games that it's suitable for, I'll put it to the test there as well, and I've definitely got the full game on my list once it comes out. Hope you'll stay tuned for that.
Wellllll...I'm still (relatively) small, and I did take a couple of months to put this video together because I was being slow, so that probably explains it. I'm glad you enjoyed it! The run itself was about eight hours of gameplay total.
Three Ways Deltarune will NEVER Surpass Undertale 1. something i guess 2. Idk... its supose to be better right? 3. em... Undertale was... Released First even tho Deltarune was in dev first? 4. IDK ok? i can't find any reasons yet.
I guess we'll have to see. One thing I hope it surpasses Undertale in is with more options with items and equipment - I'd like to have to think outside the box again, like using Dog Residue to generate healing items during battle. That's just a personal thing, though. I'll be waiting to see what Toby does next.
@@NovemberJoy we already know we will have Neutral-style Ending. i mean... there is so many option... "what if i Abort Evil route at the Last Possible Moment?" "What if i do Evil route to Chapter 5 and stop there?" "what if i start Evil Route at chapter 4?" and with this Neutral ending-like way but with more option if evil or not... yeah... also there is "what if i kill this Secret boss, Ignore this and spare this one?"... I think i see why it needs just one Full Version to cost more then UT.
tip: if you have enough TP for Red Buster when queen puts up a shield, USE IT. It'll take most of the Sheild out, AND it won't do anything to trigger a violent outcome.
Yeah, I think I did that during this fight. Attacking is always the best way to handle the shield, since you're never in danger of hitting Queen by accident that way. Thanks for the suggestion!
5:40 really hm, I always found beating him up easier because of pirouettes disastrous side effects if you're bad like I am so I would always go for just hypnosis which was much slower than just using rude buster every 3 turns as rude buster and hypnosis both use 50%tp so have the same recharge rate variable by your dodging and turns spent defending when I beat jevil my strat was 1st turn all out attack then: - if party's health is good kris and susie attack while ralsei defends - if tp is above 50% and party's health is good use rude buster while kris and ralsei defend if tp is above 60% kris can attack too - if any party member but ralsei is down and has at least 20% tp use heal prayer on dead member other alive member defends - if any party member but ralsei is down and has less than 20% tp character with lowest health defends the other uses an item to revive the downed character - if ralsei is down kris uses item on ralsei Susie attacks may use rude buster if tp over 75% - if 2 members are down use any full party heal item
You know, this makes sense as well. You can beat Jevil quickly either way, but I guess I just always felt pacifying him was easier? It helped that I was lucky enough to dodge all the really bad Pirouette effects. Neither strategy was sufficient without proper dodging, sadly. Thanks for the comment!
Maybe you could try tanking Jevil with Susie by having an inventory full of Hearts donuts. Using Kris and Ralsei mainly for Defending for TP. And using Kris to pirouette, and Ralsei to constantly heal prayer. Along with the TP generated to use rude buster. With taping X to do more damage, it might work?
I might at least make it a little farther, but it would be incredibly luck-reliant, and I still don't think that would work, since Jevil deals enough damage to down Susie if she's not blocking even at full HP. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
I can understand, since all you can do is have high defense, keep eating bagels, and hope for good RNG during the attacks. I doubt Skip's doing any more videos like this either: which is sad, since that's the ones I was interested in, but maybe I can fill a little of that space? Thanks for the comment!
Hey. This video inspired me to do a similar no dodge run but without healing items. Surprisingly, it's possible (even Neo) but very painful and I didn't count giga queen for the sake of my sanity
i actually Can't wait until you Say "K.Round's First Fight is PURE RNG in this Chalange". Only Reason i Passed him in MY "No-dogde" run of Chapter 1 was that i was Lucky Last time.
Btw Snowgrave is COMPLETELY impossible whithout moving. Spampton Neo finally shines as a better boss then Jevil since he's mandatory. As always its much harder in life being a jurk
Being a jerk is much harder, but...maybe there's some way? I have an idea. Yes, I do agree Spamton is better developed, and it's cool that he's mandatory in some way. Jevil's still more difficult, though, if I had to say.
Honestly I died more to spamton NEO(pacifist route) than to Jevil[2 Times] in my first playthrough They are at least Hard ENOUGH that I couldn’t beat BOTH of them in the No-Dodge Challenge. Jevil by design, and Spamton by Items
BTW, in fact, you can try using red buster in King's fight, it's much easier and won't change the plot You can also buy tea instead of butler juice, which costs only half of money, and Kris's and Susie's tea can heal other members more HP than butler juice (120 VS 100)
Red Buster would help take down King's HP, but I decided to focus on defense and healing instead to save the mints and cake in my inventory. Fighting would likely have been possible, but some of his attacks deal enough hits and damage that you need to defend to reliably survive, especially if Ralsei gets targeted. It's worth a suggestion, though! As for the tea, that's actually a pretty good idea, although it might introduce a little more RNG over who gets targeted and how much of each tea to bring. I should keep that in mind once later chapters come out!
Well, if you're playing the game without knowing what's coming, it makes sense you'd have some trouble - I had some trouble with him on my first try as well. It just so happens that a well-optimized build and strategy with a perfectly set-up inventory can make up for a lack of proper dodging. Hopefully you enjoyed the video!
"Enemy Weakness: CHOKE Wrap your hands around his throat." Man, I know every copy of Deltarune is personalized, but this is going a bit far...Thanks for the comment, by the way!
It was the first thought I had the first time I saw Lancer's silhouette in Chapter 1, and that thought never left my mind until now. Glad I infected someone else with it.
It's an option, but it heals so little HP I'd probably just stick to SelfFix. It's surprisingly hard to get TP when you can't dodge any attacks properly.
using the duck would have actually made your run much easier because it deals only 1 point of damage in the rouxls fight and also in the giga queen fight, the duck mode power-up helas you as you punch the queen
It would have made Rouxls much easier, but I don't feel like it would've made a difference during the Giga Queen fight. TP is actually pretty hard to come by when you're getting hit by every attack head-on, and I needed all the SelfFix uses I could get to stay alive longer. Duck Mode's sucky punch does heal, but it's only 30 HP on hit and 2 HP per counterpunch for a while, and that's not enough to stay alive vs. SelfFix's instant 100 HP healing. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
What about snowgrave is it even possible to get the snowgrave and being without dodging because the only real Troublesome fight would be the spamton fight at the very end
You can, but it's not a good idea to do at most parts of the fight because it makes Spamton NEO angry. Making him angry increases the health of destructible objects in his attacks like his heart and face parts, and it also significantly increases the damage we take. We can't afford to take more damage. I could've done it at the last standard attack in his pattern and gotten a good benefit from it, though! Thanks for the suggestion!
@@NovemberJoy it is useful in the face part, l just cant do that part without getting hit, AND, if you break all of the face parts, and spamton uses the face attack again, you basically get a free turn, so yeah, but you did a dodgeless so you could bot do that
I am attempting this run, but I am stuck on queen’s arcade game because I can’t dodge her attacks and I can’t get enough hits in before I lose. Are you allowed to dodge in her game?
I allowed it because it's a mini game that doesn't use the standard battle layout, unlike the Giga Queen fight at the end of the chapter. I don't think you can get past it otherwise? Thanks for the question, hope this helps!
7:07 "Kris DID go down but all it took was a couple of burgers to get them back up"
I'm just imagining kris getting downed and susie just places a darkburger on the ground nearby and kris jolts back up aggressively eating the burger like a feral animal
I'd prefer to imagine it that way too. Kris has quite the affinity for burnt burgers, as the #1 customer of McSeam's.
He does pet cheese
i feel it would be more susie to do that but that doesnt matter for this situlation
Ngl i imagine it more like susie just keeps shoving darkburgers in kris' mouth but i can imagine your interpretation too 😭😭
i imagine kris as being feral and wild
Fun Fact! You can farm infinite Dark Dollars in the Castle Town by getting a Lancer Cookie selling it to Shawm getting another and repeating that process.
You can, but it didn't occur to me. I imagine it's also pretty slow.
@@NovemberJoy That would be 5 dark dollars per trip
@@NovemberJoy you can do the same in undertale by bying temflakes (on sale) and them back tem its tedious I would know but it works
You can also do it with Dog Residue or by selling Cloudy Glasses. There are a lot of ways to farm money in Undertale.
@@NovemberJoy Yeah but dog residue may be faster since you can sell all your dog residue until you have 1 and exits tem's shop and use dog residue again and sell it again until you have one and exit tem's shop and use dog residue again and repeat process
“Our low-HP Susie is only taking 1 damage from all of these hits” (only gets hit once)
Power of NEO is such a comically weak attack
Technically, in that footage she got hit a total of three times...Not that it matters, since it was only dealing 1 damage. Toby seems to have a thing against big, flashy super moves...
Final Chaos literally can't kill, so pretty much every flashy attack is weak
The secret bosses’ “final attacks” only deal a percentage of your total hp, so they literally can’t kill you
Its actually stated that the bigger the bullet, the weaker it is.
Makes sense, imagine if the final attack was actually significantly stronger than every other attack. You'd have to beat the entire rest of the fight up to that point for another attempt
Roulx's power can not be fully contained by the game engine.
He's definitely a lot stronger than I gave him credit for. Noelle, too.
If you think about it, every single enemy you fight is doing the “No Dodge Challenge”
Yeah, we're just making it more fair for them.
Oh... There is only one *thing* ...
There is one enemy that does dodge, but that literally doesn’t matter, since Undyne the Undying is impossible no-dodge
@i asked In Deltarune, no. Or at least not in chapters 1 and 2, can't say for sure with future chapters.
Undertale, obviously yes he dodges your attacks when you fight him.
Exept sans, but yeah in'deltaru'e true

Reviving the whole group to deal the final hit to spamton neo felt like when the souls teamed up with frisk against omega flowey

@Sir Game yeah. i was shocked when i discovered that. especially on my own.
"Whats your strategy?"
"To stand there and get hit."
"What? What kind of strategy is that?!"
"The kind that results in victory."
No pain, no gain, right? And hey, it's not like every attack always hits you when you stand still. Thanks for the comment!
Also, you missed the side effect. The robot is powered up by the people you befriend. So, guess what happens if you have no friendships?
@@furiouscorgi6614 yeah after writing this comment 3 months ago I discovered what happened with the HP depending of the people you befriended which means that if you didn't get anyone your HP will suck, tho I consider the giga Queen fight more of a minigame than an actual fight...
Which probably makes the GIGA Queen fight impossible if you don't use a glich there is to Skip It basically or actually win the fight somehow.
I believe there's something you can do in the first Berdly fight to completely skip Queen's fight with Berdly, can't remember what though.
Edit: I looked it up, and it seems like you just need to defeat him by depleting his HP in any of the previous two fights, as the wiki explains:
"Defeating Berdly by depleting his HP in any of Berdly's first two fights prevents the party from freeing Berdly from Queen's cable without hurting him in the first Queen fight."
"If Berdly is defeated through fighting in any of his battles, the fight against Queen ends differently as he tries to pull the plug off his face prematurely."
And KFCs his arm.
“What do you think i’m just gonna stand there and take it”
"Well, you're right, and I'm still gonna win anyway!" Thanks for the comment!

4:23 Even without the manual you can pacify him just need to attack 1 time perfectly with kris and Ralsei he'll became tired and you can pacify him
Also in the 11:04 berdly fight if you manage get his Hp below 48% in 3 or 4 turns You can pacify him too!(This still counts as Pacifist) And also same with werewerewire I haven't tired with werewerewire How many turns to get they Hp to 48%

10:40 you don't have to take dmg in this fight at all, make susie and ralsei attack the same enemy and they'll spend their turn healing
This is correct, I just didn't know about that at the time. I was hoping they'd take down Kris, but instead they used all their time hitting everyone BUT Kris. Not that it mattered in the end.
Oh wow, was really waiting for this vid! 👀
Congrats on actually doing it pacifist! I was planning on doing Chapter 2 full pacifist myself but, yeaaaah, a bunch of stuff happened, and I now have a new PC, so, no Deltarune (no save files either, eh), but still, congrats, pal!
I didn't think it would be possible, but alas, never say never.
Now, some comments about the challenge itself:
-Jevil is 100% not gonna be possible no-dodge, since he's so chaotic and basically made to be "uncheesable".
-I find it funny how the entire chapter is super easy but the final boss is suddenly hard, just like the second chapter 🤔, pretty much shows the strenght of your adversaries
-Oh yeah, you have to have defeated Jevil previously, the save file you're on doesn't matter, you just have to do it once. It doesn't give out huge buffs or anything, so yeah I'd say it's okay to use it (tfw I myself defeated Spamton regularly and forgot to unequip the glasses in my own run, whoops)
-Ah yes, Burghley. This KFC lad is one of the biggest roadblocks in chapter 2, especially his latter encounter. A key rule I figured out, not only for this fight but in general - is to not allow any party member to go below N health. Let's say "50", so if anyone gets down to 50 or less - heal them ASAP
-Not only you are not playing with all 3 characters, he also gets additional attacks that just gurantee to hit you. The very first tornado one is not even random, you get hit, lose HP, and that's constant. Not exactly great for a no dodge run :/
-And yes, Sleep Mist, it's the thing I wasn't able to cast proper due to Noelle going down 99% of the time. You really have to keep an eye on her, otherwise get ready to lose this fight, Werewires are relentless
Still, glad to see you made it out without resorting to violence! :)
-If Heal Deal wasn't an option, I'd say the fight would've not been possible, OR just really long and drawn out. The cycle is this: Deal -> Get TP -> Heal -> Get TP -> Heal Deal -> Repeat
-The Mansion minibosses (Tasque Manager excluded) are just bad, in terms of difficulty. Mausewheel is what made me quit the first time, no joke...Mainly because I was distraught by something else, but still, it was kinda bad, but yeah, all you need to do is to time your ACTs correctly
-Oh boy, Rouxls. You can really cheese the fight by just creating a duck in the first chapter, since every attack (except the boxes) will deal one damage to you, yeah, I know, funny duck boat gives funny low damage. Also, the best strategy in any case is to just cut his houses off so the battle ends in a stalemate prematurely
-The Queen was the most stressful fight in the game, at least in my opinion. As far as I know, it can be ended in like, 3-4 turns? But the downside is that you have to ditch pacifism
-HOLY HELL WHAT????? YOU ACTUALLY MANAGED THIS? HOLY, You sir, are a legend. Spamton NEO is the most difficult boss in the game as of "right now", but, you just went ahead and did it. Not really by pacifism, but still, mad respect!
Once again, congrats for completing this both pacifist AND Spamton. You most definitely deserve more attention on this video 👀
We'll see how possible Chapters 3, 4 and 5 will be in the future!
14:25 Also Spamton might say "Press F1 for help" if you do that you actually get healed.
Lmao when your game crashed and the snow spell came up, nice one dude.
I couldn't help but make use of such a well-timed crash. I think I messaged a friend when it happened to describe the new KrisGrave route I found, too. Thanks for the comment!
3:18 Nice Repainted Refrence~
Couldn't resist. Thanks for picking up on that.
17:10 Man, what item healed you 8065 HP?
Ain't no item that heals THAT much HP! That's just from both characters healing and being right beside each other, so the numbers are much closer. Funny to imagine it, though!
Reasons why Snowgrave Spamton NEO is impossible:
1. You only fight with Kris
2. You actually have to hit him until he is at 10%
3.He fights the same way he does in his normal encounter
4. No defense items really make you survive longer
Edit:
Also:
5.The best healing items are bagels
6.Some of the items(ex. Mannequin) are not accessible
Those are compelling reasons, yeah. Might have an idea, hopefully it should work. Thanks for the comment!
¨KRYPLE¨, absolute genius.
Edit: And all the names you gave to Revali: love it.
If you really like "Kryple", give the credit to my friend BowserGalaxy10/Damion, he's the one who came up with it. I'm glad you enjoyed the different names I gave to Burmy - I might actually make use of "Revali" yet, just you wait.
Revali reminds me of someone.
"We get to watch Noelle cast choke-grave"
Why did this take away my capability to breathe temporarily?

Anyway, neat analysis & run video! Thanks for uploading!
I'm glad you enjoyed! Maybe I should have said "spade bump" instead, that kinda works.
10:41
Actually, i discover a glitch that makes you skip their fight in my playthrough
To skip them,
Act (Dance) and only dance, not danceX, and once you do it hit them with another member, either susie or ralsei or both, this will make them drink that milk which will skip the fight, do it again and again and susie will talk and then you will be able to dance with all of them
I found out about it later - quite a useful trick to take the challenge out of the fight, and useful if you're trying to no-hit the whole game. Thanks for the comment!
@@NovemberJoy np ((:
Such an underrated UA-camr! I loved watching this, it was very entertaining. I hope you do the same thing with the full game once it comes out!
Glad you enjoyed! I'll wait and see what the full game has in store - it should make for a good challenge if these first two chapters are anything to go by.
10:41 another strategy would be to have Susie and Ralsei attack them each turn. They'll heal, and won't be able to attack.
Yep, this is also a valid strategy. Not one I knew of at the time, but a valid strategy nevertheless.
I didn’t expect spamton to be possible
I thought he was probably possible in some way, and thankfully he was - just required a lot of prep, strategy, good timing, and good RNG!
WHY DID YOU DODGE THE BANANA
You're telling me you were able to beat spamton neo without dodging at all, bit i can't beat him normally???
:(
I believe in you! You can definitely pull it off normally with enough practice and items. I brought both Club Sandwiches, two Revive Mints, and the Top Cake into the fight, if that tells you enough about how items help.
There's a lot of mediocre challenge content on UA-cam, this isn't one of them. Subscribed
Glad you enjoyed, and glad I went above your expectations! Hopefully this is a standard of quality I can maintain for the future.
Ralsei: We should decide a name for our crew!

Not a joke, but a exhilarating fight that I enjoyed planning and finding a strategy for. Also a source of unforgettable deals that blew my mind!
The tea is *much* better than ButJuice as long as you have the characters drink *each others*'s tea instead of their own.

@@NovemberJoy You're welcome!
5:40 really hm, I always found beating him up easier because of pirouettes disastrous side effects if you're bad like I am so I would always go for just hypnosis which was much slower than just using rude buster every 3 turns as rude buster and hypnosis both use 50%tp so have the same recharge rate variable by your dodging and turns spent defending
when I beat jevil my strat was 1st turn all out attack then:
- if party's health is good kris and susie attack while ralsei defends
- if tp is above 50% and party's health is good use rude buster while kris and ralsei defend if tp is above 60% kris can attack too
- if any party member but ralsei is down and has at least 20% tp use heal prayer on dead member other alive member defends
- if any party member but ralsei is down and has less than 20% tp character with lowest health defends the other uses an item to revive the downed character
- if ralsei is down kris uses item on ralsei Susie attacks may use rude buster if tp over 75%
- if 2 members are down use any full party heal item
You know, this makes sense as well. You can beat Jevil quickly either way, but I guess I just always felt pacifying him was easier? It helped that I was lucky enough to dodge all the really bad Pirouette effects. Neither strategy was sufficient without proper dodging, sadly. Thanks for the comment!
It's almost time...
"Berdly"
"Burghley"
"Barley"
"Burger"
can't hold a name for [$%]
I mean, Barney does have a weird name that just slips your mind when you least expect it, doesn't he?
hell yea, I was excited for this sense the undertale no dodge
Hopefully it satisfied your curiosity! Thanks for the comment.
“Other than that, just keep chugging ButJuice” XD
That is what they call it in-game, after all. Glad you enjoyed that line!
I'll try it myself and I'll let you know how it goes!
Awww, I was going to make this video for chapter 2 since Skip the Tutorial probably isn't going to, but I couldn't get past spamton.
I can understand, since all you can do is have high defense, keep eating bagels, and hope for good RNG during the attacks. I doubt Skip's doing any more videos like this either: which is sad, since that's the ones I was interested in, but maybe I can fill a little of that space? Thanks for the comment!
Hey I loved the video and I hope to see more videos like this in the future! :)
Good to hear! I've got more stuff like this planned in the future, so your hopes and dreams will be fulfilled!
I guess you might be a little disappointed, then. Being able to do multiple things per turn is really strong.
@@NovemberJoy ok
“huh. i didn’t know she was doing a challenge run too.”
HAhAHAHAAHHHJJHFISENHudbdhakdb
I'm...glad you enjoyed the joke!
@@NovemberJoy i’m glad too. i overreact to funny stuff way too much.
Honestly I died more to spamton NEO(pacifist route) than to Jevil[2 Times] in my first playthrough
They are at least Hard ENOUGH that I couldn’t beat BOTH of them in the No-Dodge Challenge.
Jevil by design,
and Spamton by Items
i honestly prefer jevil over spamton just because of their personality
NOW YOU'RE A [Big Shot]
Thanks, I'll always remember your life advice.
Sorry I don't have any delicis [KROMER] to give you. Materia claimed the audio.
BTW, in fact, you can try using red buster in King's fight, it's much easier and won't change the plot
You can also buy tea instead of butler juice, which costs only half of money, and Kris's and Susie's tea can heal other members more HP than butler juice (120 VS 100)
I simply went to commit taxfraud
Hm. Maybe not the best idea to admit this in a UA-cam comment section, but you do you!
I literally broke when noelle castelo CHOKEgrave
That's a spell she definitely knows!
Me: barely beat spamton neo .
YOU: NO DODGONG GO BRRR
Well, if you're playing the game without knowing what's coming, it makes sense you'd have some trouble - I had some trouble with him on my first try as well. It just so happens that a well-optimized build and strategy with a perfectly set-up inventory can make up for a lack of proper dodging. Hopefully you enjoyed the video!
Noelle uses choke grave on burghly? its super effective!!!
"Enemy Weakness: CHOKE
Wrap your hands around his throat."
Man, I know every copy of Deltarune is personalized, but this is going a bit far...Thanks for the comment, by the way!
@@NovemberJoy np man lol
did… did you just compare Lancer to Tingle from Zelda?
*I can’t unsee that now*
It was the first thought I had the first time I saw Lancer's silhouette in Chapter 1, and that thought never left my mind until now. Glad I infected someone else with it.
Another advantage to DUCC is the super punch in Giga Queen becomes Sucky Punch, which siphons HP
It's an option, but it heals so little HP I'd probably just stick to SelfFix. It's surprisingly hard to get TP when you can't dodge any attacks properly.
I absolutely love the way he says burgers
I'm glad you enjoyed. It's been interesting to hear the wide gamut of responses about my voice and delivery from so many different people...
using the duck would have actually made your run much easier because it deals only 1 point of damage in the rouxls fight and also in the giga queen fight, the duck mode power-up helas you as you punch the queen
I was working on that. I think there is a strategy for it, but I still need to try it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Yep
I tested this a while before this video came out and the sad truth is once you make it to the berdly fight its all over
I can see how you'd think that, but it's possible with a lot of bagels and a very defensive strategy. Hope you enjoyed the video!
21:10 you can just hold shift and spam z
@@NovemberJoy thanks! I actually finished the run including Spamton Neo!
