    Fine, I will CONSIDER doing a part 2 because it seems everyone wants it. But it ain't gonna be anywhere near this long. However the reason I don't like the idea of making a part 2 is because that would involve me building up the entire backstory for what has happened after New Vegas, and even then, I feel it wouldn't be much of a contest for the Enclave to win.

      In order to make things out west a challenge for the Enclave. You could even the scales a little bit by having New Vegas end in an NCR victory, and then tweak the lore a bit to have them take control of the Big MTs technology and the silos in the divide (maybe even look into weapon applications for the cloud at the Sierra Madre?) If that’s not enough for them to be considered a challenge you could have them still have Courier #6 around and maybe even say they looked into getting Houses infrastructure back online and used the platinum chip. Just a thought of course I’m no writer.

    Not mentioned in the video but The Pitt is a huge industrial plant, producing steel and other metals. This would have been incredibly useful for the Enclave for building settlements, vehicles, new weapons and power armor. After purging the raiders and freeing the slaves from the city and curing the Trog Disease. It could even go back to being a fully functioning city.

    • @flamesofchaos13
      @flamesofchaos13 2 роки тому +13

      @@LucyWest370 Should logically be happening sometime in the future. Especially if Maxson's Brotherhood wins the Commonwealth War then expands out West to fully unite the whole Brotherhood from East to West. The NCR would see Maxson as a direct threat and target, Would be using their Artillery against the Prydwen and whatever other Aircrafts the BoS has. But the NCR itself should be heavily weakened because they either lost the Mojave Campaign or wasted too many resources maintaining control which turned the population of the Republic into majority Anti-War, Food shortages should be occurring soon if not already, Their gold backed economy was ruined or damaged by the BoS in the previous war while further harmed by the war efforts in California and the Mojave. Then the Legion and 80's would still be around at the least to cause harm at the border and at the most invading into the heartlands of the NCR...Either way causing a significant distraction for the BoS to take advantage of.
      Will we see any of this? Well we didn't see the first one at all. We may or may not see the West Coast again in a playable state. An NCR-BoS War could indeed be the premise and storyline of an entire game one with major consequences and impact. We could see the utter destruction of the BoS or NCR or both as possibilities. In short who knows but it'll be cool if we experienced it firsthand I'd love it myself.
      Also I think the Enclave and/or Remnants should come into play somehow be it supporting their own cause or choosing to work with old enemies to eradicate the other or deal with some unknown larger threat. We could get them to help the NCR before so anything is possible after all. Would be cool if we could cement the return of the Enclave with an official alliance and pardon of past crimes if they support one of the major factions...Leading to them reforming once again into a major faction themselves with a proper place in Wasteland Society.

Plus their whole shtick is to prevent anyone from getting their hands on advanced technology to prevent the past from repeating itself. The Enclave just fits into their 'perfect enemy' scenario too perfectly. On top of that, the Brotherhood would also be a direct thorn in the Enclaves side that they wouldn't want sittting around as a potential uprising. This post was made by the Autumn's Enclave Gang.
    This actually got me thinking about what would happen if The Mojave Chapter of The Brotherhood was actually able to fend off Operation Sunburst and mount a substantial counter attack against Colonel Moore's Forces, maybe even taking camp mccarran or by some act of god the hoover dam itself.
    I guess that's an idea you can play with for a vid.

      The “Old World Blues” mod for Hearts or Iron IV (a Fallout themed mod) actually does a pretty good job of answering that. I don’t want to spoil anything but let’s just say that Elder Elijah, while absolutely brilliant, can end up digging too greedily and too deeply in his never ending quest for knowledge and release something out into the world that should’ve probably been left alone…
      This all said, it’s not the same thing as an Omega Initiative video but the Mojave Brotherhood storyline in that mod is still absolutely fantastic, well written, believable and very much worth a look if you enjoy grand strategy games. :)

      Well, the defeat at Sunburst and the Mojave campaign in general is implied to be what screwed Elijah up as much as it did. He was nutty before, yeah, but there was still some semblance of humanity in him. Assuming the carnage and death doesn't happen, AND therefore Veronica's still around to be his surrogate grand-daughter, I could see him mellowing out enough to be a bit more ethical with his findings and research. He'd still be a technocratic leader of a military cult, it's not gonna be picturesque by any standard, but it might not be terrible compared to the state the region is already in.
      The biggest question is House. 95% odds they fight each other for supremacy and it gets just as bad, if not worse than the Mojave campaign in cannon, 5% odds they actually manage to consider each other peers and move forward together, I'd say. Depends on whether or not Veronica gets her dress.

And if not destroyed, what about the probably very angry french-speaking people whom are likely to control them? Not to mention actually traversing the lakes themselves, or the smaller locks that link them. The biggest problem is you have Colonel Autumn executing the player. Like "canon". Thats completely fucking unnecessary and only happened because Butthesderp forgot to give the player motivation to hate the East Coast Enclave because its the computer that starts the genocide project back up. Also, FO3's Autumn, unless he was lying, wasn't openly genocidal towards non-super/ghoul mutants. Those who were close to mainline humans were good enough.

    • @napatora
      @napatora 2 роки тому +16

      it's not made super clear in fallout 3 but the enclave's definition of "mutant" is pretty much everyone that isn't them. human wastelanders are lumped in because they're "unclean" due to radiation etc. in the previous games the enclave is an insular group, even starting to suffer from their lack of genetic diversity.
      it's made a little more clear in broken steel if you infect project purity with the modified FEV it kills regular human wastelanders too, not just mutants and mirelurks etc. there's a scripted event where one wastelander gives another "pure" water like you can outside megaton and rivet city and the dude keels over dead. the enclave makes it sound like they want to save the people of the wasteland but they're basically trying to get them out of their way so they can expand.

They never elucidate or explain any views WHATSOEVER that indicate that they had any plans for a bioweapon mass genocide like in Fallout 2. Only the ZAX President thing is trying to go ahead with it.
      If this wasn't the case, Colonel Autumn would be yelling it to the clouds what he plans to do, and more importantly, the ZAX would not go behind Autumn's back to attempt the genocide.
      You can blame poor writing if you want, the Doylist explanation, but there...just isn't anything there. It isn't there from either a Watsonian or Doylist perspective. Its not POORLY written, it was simply NOT written. At all. Aside from a Rogue AI possibly following outdated and illegitimate commands.
      The Bad Writing is that you can't join the Enclave and help re-establish Old World Society. Or that you aren't rewarded for annihilating the Outcasts, who are the only real villainous group with any background, because they are just cowardly deserters with no redeeming qualities.

    They should have added an Enclave ending in Fallout 3 since it would have been fun to side with them, but I woulda split it into 2 "sub-endings" the player can choose:
    1. Eden's Ending (aka the Super Evil Ending) - here you agree to work with Eden and fullfil his plan to poison the Potomac after securing the Purifier. Down the line you are eventually tasked to kill the Colonel since the President would have had enough of him opposing his actions. A sort of civil war would have happened and it would be your mission in the post ending period to take out concentrations of Autumn loyalists as a repeatable side quest.
    2. Autumn's Ending (aka the Lesser Evil Ending) - you side with Autumn after proving yourself a bit during the battle for the Purifier (the reason you wouldn't be executed by the Colonel is because of Eden stepping in however). Autumn decides to bring you into his faction and you are eventually tasked to aid in the taking of Raven Rock since that entire facility was basically Eden's base. You then kill the President. Autumn declares himself the new leader of the Enclave and you are promoted as his successor as Colonel. Post game side quests would include killing off Brotherhood remnants.

In this story, the sole survivor brought with him non-synthetic humans and Minutemen survivors numbering by the thousands. They were exiled away from Boston by the Father as per request by the Sole Survivor. They started heading towards the West in Enclave held territory to seek help against the Institute. Given the sole survivor's pre-War knowledge, combat experience, knowledge about the Institute, and rank as the Minutemen General, he was given the position as the second most high ranking officer right next to General Autumn. I feel like the Brotherhood in Appalachia would recruit the settlers in the south and destroy the raiders in the north. This would lead to the brotherhood putting up a big fight for the Enclave in 2284. The brotherhood would have eventually discovered the bunker and would blow open the vault door, destroying all the robots inside and using the past Enclaves equipment in the bunker to liberate Appalachia of the scorched plague. My theory is that Appalachia would be heavily controlled by the Brotherhood and that The Enclave would have to have some sort of recon teams go into the Silos and nuke all of the major settlements controlled by the brotherhood. I feel like the Charleston Capitol building would be the base of operations for the Brotherhood due to its strong infrastructure. My main point is that the Brotherhood would put up a way stronger fight in Appalachia since they would be very powerful in the region in 2284.

    Seems like it always has to end in a nuclear silo for Autumn.

    Great video, but there is a potential flaw about the aircraft carrier making its way to Chicago. There is the 33-40ish feet of metal hull that is under water with aircraft carriers. Are all the rivers deep enough for a carrier to make it through them to get to Chicago?

    31:14 “1,000s of mile above DC”. The international space station is only 200 miles above the surface of the earth. These guys must have been aiming for the moon.

    I wish that the factions with a legitimate chance at becoming a governing body got more attention in Fallout. I find factions like the Minutemen (even with how poorly they were done), enclave, and NCR more interesting because it shows the wasteland is slowly civilizing itself. People wouldn’t be raiders forever.

    This was amazing it sucked me in entirely... very impressed with both your story telling and extensive knowledge of the fallout universe... also I love that you see the sum up ending music for fallout ... overall expertly done

    It would have been cool if you could have Incorporated the Minutemen into the on corned beef with the sole survivor becoming a general

    I always felt that the enclave was done dirty by Bethesda. I hope the next fallout is good. I really hope that Microsoft steps in and forces them to play nice with obsidian.

    Of all the things that went wrong in the Fallout universe, it was denying Autumn the water purifier, and delaying the recovery of North America for at least another couple centuries. But muh freedom. Muh Liberty Prime. Muh BoS. Its tragic, really.

    I must say, I am impressed and I like your story telling a lot. I watched the House video first. Now this one. Making Autumn not look like a total a-hole? Nice. I really don't like Motus...I find him creepy. (Yes, I play/played 76) Poor Liberty Prime. He did do his duty, though. And the Institute being down right dangerous? About time.

    Do you think you'd be able to do a video on how a Mr House-Brotherhood of Steel alliance might work? I would've thought they'd eventually end up as his private techno-army under one of his 'contracts', as without the brotherhoods morals the two seem to overlap in some areas. Either way its the NCR's worst nightmare lol. Love your videos btw.

    I absolutely love this, it expands on the great things of the Enclave, and tells a very interesting story. Everything about it, from the characterization to the logic behind events unfolding, all of it is amazing. 9.5/10 video, good sir!
