- One of the causes of the Samsung electric dryer HC or HE error is a shorted or grounded heating element. This video shows how to diagnose and repair the problem. To donate to the Tech Circuit, click here: www.TechCircuit.org/donate

Great video, l get an error code after 30 minutes and my clothes are pretty much dry. Both outside and inside vents cleaned out and lint compartment cleaned out religiously.
Thank you!!
How do you diagnose the stuck relay?
Great video I put the reapair kit and every sensor are new but now like 25 min appears this code. But the clothes are dry when the code become.
Great video.
I have the same model dryer and get the HC code after about 5 seconds of running. I checked the thermostat and everything checked out ok. Would replacing the thermistor be a good next choice?
If you're getting that error after 5 seconds, I would suspect a bad thermistor. That thermistor can be checked from the board with minimal disassembly if you have a multimeter. This video shows you how to do it and can also apply to an HC error:

This website shows thermistor values for given temperatures. The Samsung thermistor is listed:

Where do you buy the part at ? I look on Amazon but they all only have 2 plug in in , not 6 like the one you show in this video . Please give me the link for part if you have it .
Thank you
I placed a link to the part in the description of the video for you.
I'm haveing this problem and I have checked the element it is good how would I cheak the relay... thanks
The relays are usually intermittent it is difficult to tell. If the contacts fuse together permanently, you can check the resistance between contact - but when you start pulling wires off the relay, it often "unfuses". You can tap on the relay to try and unfuse it to see if that clears the error up. If so, replace the board.
Thank you very much the problem with are dryer.. is that it will work and then get really hot a say HE..if you try to restart it it might run for 2 min and same thang happens.... I have completely disassemble the dryer cleaned all lint inside the dryer and the venting going out the house and I have cheak the coil with a multimeter and the coil is good.. but still have the problem
@@CJ_Cornhole It sounds like a stuck heat relay. It could also be an out of range thermistor, but I doubt it.
