I love it! Very easy with a perfect fit! The thing I think about with this pattern is that it's a different look from the everyday toque, and a little bit "dressy" to say the least. A sparkle yarn for the holidays would be cute. Thank you so much Carolina! Received your newsletter and thought it's nice to see you showing another pattern. Your knitting is expert!! Love you, and thanks again my knitting sister 🧶🙏🕊💖
Yeeeee! I've just finished my second hat. I made the garter brim black and the body of the hat light Grey. It's fabulous 👌 I used 100cm circular needles, and I managed the decrease to the end... I love the pattern - it's perfect for both boys and girls. I'm looking for another of your tutorials with an easy pattern like this one to make more hats for the bazaar and for each of my grandsons. Thanks again, my dear ❤
@sowoolly I use your measurements for a medium. I estimate it to be for around 9-10 years old... I'm now working on my third hat. It's a lovely cappuccino colour. However, I like the brim to be a different colour. My grandson asked me to make him one with the colours of Spiderman! That's 4 colours - black, red, blue, and white, but as the hat comprises of 3 parts, I'm going to stick to 3 colours... I can't thank you enough ❣️
I’ve decided to start looking for more patterns and found your channel. I like doing dishcloths or face cloths just to learn the stitches. I think you have some here that will be suitable. I might even crochet myself a hat 😊. Thank you very much for sharing.
@@sowoolly will definitely be knitting this one… I have found your tutorials so easy to understand.. you have brought my knitting on to new levels thank you 😊
Yes, you can! But keep in mind that the Garter stitch, the Granite stitch, and the Stockinette stitch for the decreasing section change when knitted flat. This is the Granite stitch made back and forth: ua-cam.com/video/m3C22zpKmYk/v-deo.htmlsi=N_u263-nDjA1cNn2
There is something I would like to ask you I saw a very nice lace like pattern on a picture and i really don’t know how it was done even though it doesn’t look very complicated. Is there a way I can send you the picture if you would like to have a look ? Thanks

There's no way I can knit on the round😮💨 I'm so frustrated with myself! I knit a lot of baby/children hats, and I always end up having to either crochet or sew the seam in the back...😢 I'm preparing a charity bazaar for next month, and I need hats for boys between 3-6 years... I started with 60cm circular needles and they ended up like a railway track - I just couldn't move further!!!
I’m sorry to hear that. Follow this tutorial and practice knitting a small tube first: ua-cam.com/video/HF0GdPmcduM/v-deo.htmlsi=QTJCDwywiI-CxIoH Practice makes perfect 😉
Thank you so much for your link to the tutorial on circular needles. You make everything seem so easy. Your voice is very soothing and encouraging, and I'm going to have to practice till I can master the circular needles. I don't have much time so I'm going to have to work on it. From what I understand I can work with long needles.... What length do you suggest I practice with?
@queencleo1151 I’m happy to help! 60 cm is perfect to start a small tube. Don’t worry, with practice, you’ll master it (it took me some time too). Thank you for your comments 🤗
