I agree. Focus is on low amount. But how is it even possible to get any amount through small wound or skin on feet to blood system and to urine? And when was he tested before Indian Wells? No focus on this very interesting topics. I am very skeptical.
@@annalax375This has been thoroughly explained by the experts. If this isn't enough for you then get a degree as a doctor specialised in antidoping and you'll find out yourself.
Explains a lot. However, going with the Simona example, why did they take so long to get back her appeal. She served 18 months before they got back to her. Jannik feels as though they were dealing with this over the phone to how swiftly the back and forth was happeneing
It’s possibly because it was a different court that made the final decision for Simona and they operate on their own timeframes. If the ITIA had ruled similar to Sinner that Simona’s situation wasn’t intentional in the first place then she may not have needed to wait so long, but that’s my guess
According to some sources, one of the reasons it took so long and couldn't immediately confront the initial claims like Sinner did, is because they couldn't find the source of the contamination. It took a while, the suspension remained and the story broke. Sinner managed in both cases to prove source contamination within a day or 2 and get the suspension lifted. It's terrible how her case was handled, and hopefully Sinner's case will set a precedent that players can be treated more fairly and quickly, rather than asking why his didn't take as long as Halep's.
@@Emmi007sthank you for this! That would make sense why hers took a long time, I agree it’s good Sinner’s situation was handled quickly and that should be the case for all matters - really unfortunate for Halep

yeah but sinner is tested every week. how it is possible that during a tournament this substance went from top to 1/1000000000 2 times in a week? Is sinner stupid to take it another time after the first test? (this is the real problem with people that are saying he took it for doping)
they hide the process and it is written in the rules that they will publish only the results so it is all correct. People now are caliming that he is doped, think what cuold happen if it went viral before the sentence. You are innocent until proven guilty. If I had been Sinner I would have already sued half the people in the circus (and lot's of comment online)
The investigation is always kept quiet until a ruling is made. That's the same rule for everybody. The reason Halep's came out is because she couldn't identify the source so she was banned and that became obvious to everyone. Sinner's ban was lifted before anybody noticed because he could identify the source immediately. By the way, the ATP had nothing to do with this. It doesn't handle doping allegations, so don't try to say they were covering it up. They didn't know about it.
Why did Sinner accept the loss of ranking points and $$$ if he supposedly did nothing wrong? Makes no sense. He should be banned 2 years minimum. Drug Cheater
You spread misinformation. The rule states that even athletes who are found totally innocent must be deducted points and prize money related to the tournament where detection was carried out. Is the rule fair? In.my.mind it's not and it doesn't make any sense but this is the current rule. What goes around comes around. You will find yourself accused of being a cheater and it won't matter you be totally innocent.
my guess is Sinner was using some drugs, some time has passed and small part of these drugs remained in his body now his team came up with this excuse, i'm sure every top player is doping so shaming Sinner sound ridiculous to me
Except the positive tests were 8 days apart during the time frame when his physio was treating a wound. There have been no positive tests before or since that one short stretch. So your guess is simply a projection of whatever you want the scenario to be. You haven't said anything about the case because you don't seem to know anything, but you have said a lot about yourself.
A ban would have been in order. Ultimately athletes are responsible for what goes into their system. It's not unfair to conclude that Sinner's doping. All bad for tennis's credibility!! Zero tolerance must be maintained.
As an athlete you are responsible of what gets into your body. Same with your whole team surrounding you. I wonder what the consequences, reports would be like if the very same amount and the very same steroid was found in Novak´s, Danil´s or Andy´s body. He picked with Naldi someone who already doped basketball players what led to bans for the teams in Italy. It is very obvious he started to become more dominant at some point and had more "power". He cheated and should be banned for 2 years as Nick Kirgious rightfully said. Sinner has lost all respect among true sportsmanship celebrating fans and also players on the tour. Novak said it diplomatically but all others I heard where more like "only Yannik and his team know the truth and what happened". Also totally understandable how other lower ranked players are complaining over different treatment by the board and decision makers.
