I’ve had the suspicion for a few years that Bayern Munich was doping its players, but like Blatter I also kept saying myself “but you still can’t win only with doping; it may not do a difference anyway because is a team sport”. After watching this, I’m absolutely convinced at the very least Goretzka and Lewandoski are doped from head to toe; that massive body change is not normal. Goretzka is even starting to develop baldness for Christs sake and he’s not even 30! As we say in spanish: “I have no proof, but also no doubts”
Lewan? And have you seen my team? Half the time we wander around the field with barely any motivation. I predict we will collapse in the UCL again. I wish we doped sometimes…
@@youtubeuser6299 but unlike you (maybe; I had friends that had receding hair lines in senior year in high school) he's developing a balding pattern associated with steroid use, which is the hole in the "crown" of the head. That pattern before 30 is very suspicious if not just "not normal"
It's everywhere. Ramos tested positive in a UCL final, nothing happened. I'm pretty sure Ortega has been giving PED in Atleti for a decade (how those players were able to play that intense in 2014 those many games is beyond human), it's no coincidence Pintus makes every team he goes a winner, with Modric 37 years old defending this world cup with more intensity than anyone else in that team. And let's no forget Operación Puerto, in Eufemiano Fuente's office they found many bags of blood, not only from cyclists but football and tennis players as well. I'm pretty sure the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo or Rafa Nadal are on something, that is just no humanly possible. Many Serie A players back in the 70s and 80s were on drugs, they said that themselves. And they played half the matches than today and with less intensity. One of them, I don't remember the name, said something of the like "we were on it playing 40 matches a year like Fiat 500. Now they play doble those games like Ferraris. What do you think?" The question isn't if football players take PEDs. The question is how much, the game demands it and either you take them or you don't play even 2ªB.
Klopp is well known for doping. He does a three season on, one season off. That's why Liverpool got so many injuries last season, during their off season. They're back on the dope this season, you can see it in their higher intensity pressing than last season.
I know about the Spanish national team and Pep's Barcelona and all the cover ups and doctors offices burning down but it's pretty obvious that almost every club does it now. The level of athleticism in the game is increasing far too quickly to be natural.
EPO was probably so big in italy because it was invented there. Their winter olympic team in like 1994 cleaned up in medals due to EPO, and Marco Pantani was basically a proto Lance Armstrong.
it seems hard to believe that goretzka went from skinny midfield pivot at schalke to incredibly muscular bullish midfielder at bayern in a matter of months. At first, he really didn't have that much muscle at bayern, but then he gained so much muscle mass suddenly and it was hard to miss. His body, while definitely attainable on paper, still looks incredibly unnatural in ways that traditionally muscular men just don't. I know it's not like you can just inject some steroids and suddenly you're the buffest man on the team but his transformation is suspicious. It's also weird how gnabry got bigger and slower as soon as he moved from hoffenheim, and it's subtle but I'm pretty sure hummels was larger specifically during his short time at bayern, even though the change of kit can definitely have an impact on how your body looks.
@@Pax_Veritas haaland looks natural, very possible to get his build if he just worked out during the pandemic + he was 20 at the time. Goretzka is 28 and looks way too pumped up
Eufemiano Fuentes, the doctor made famous during the Puerto doping case, said during his trial that if he spoke about what he knew, Spain would be stripped of the 2010 World Cup. Only cyclist were ever identified as his clients, but they are known to make up less than half of the sport professionals he doped.
I've brought this up with other football fans before and it has... not gone well. Understandably, a lot of people are in massive denial about doping in the sport. Not that I can blame them.
When you deep it down, it might mean that a whole lot of world class players we've witnessed during our childhoods were never actually world class, but instead just faked it till they made it. And believe me, that wouldn't ruin our childhoods, it would turn them to ash.
Fantastic video, thanks for this level of research. I'm a big fan of cycling too and obviously it has a history, but it also feels like the sport tries hard to stamp it out. Football very much gives the impression of looking the other way as much as possible. One case that might be of interest is Operacion Puerto; Dr Fuentes was at the heart of the biggest doping scandal in cycling since Festina in 1998 and it resulted in a lot of cycling's biggest names receiving lengthy bans. The cyclists were identified by the sport but the lab held blood bags of footballers, athletes and tennis players who were never named. Real Madrid have some legal action against him ongoing as he's heavily hinted that they knew him and wondered why other names never came out. Worth a look up, especially considering Spain's 'golden age' of sport 10-15 years ago.
@@StoutProper they get tested for certain PEDs, there are many new designer PEDs that are basically untraceable through current testing methods if properly done on a steroid cycle and administered by a professional, very easy to get past drug tests at a professional level just look at the UFC and NFL
Ever since the 1996 UCL Final between Ajax and Juventus, I have always assumed that if things smell fishy, then it usually is... And if you look at the recent re-hiring of Riccardo Agricola by Juventus, you must always be suspicious of a pervasive drug culture continuing in football.
@Michael Jordan Google Riccardo Agricola for a start, so I am not saying anything too libelous. I remember that I had never seen a football team so fresh in any final before. Especially when I remember one of the great 90's teams (Ajax) looking totally knackered. It was like seeing Dorian Yates' back for the first time!
Sure there was an article in the Daily Mail during that season that linked drug use to Arsenal and Leicester. Think Chelsea was the 3rd club mentioned. Got put under the rug (or bought), plenty quickly afterwards
Don’t mention Klopp’s asthma sufferers who out-ran, out-jumped & out-intensified all opponents for 18 months solid with remarkably few injuries. 63% of the squad registered as asthmatic. I recall boxing pundit Paulie Mallianagi being asked about Manny Pacquiao & his ability to maintain his punching power through several weight divisions & into old age, “If it looks too good to be true, it usually is”.
Barcelona and their connection to doping hasn't been talked about. Pep Guardiola doctor who helped dope was their team doctor for 4 years. Lance Armstrong's doctor who helped him dope was also working with Barcelona players, with the club admitting " he may have worked with them". Xavi was also exposed by Graham hunter who said he was taking growth hormones to recover, before realizing the mistake he did and taking back his statement. And then comes the suspect rise of Messi... coinciding with pep and his doctors before suddenly injuring him self after 2012. Or the fact Spains' world cup team was heavily implicated in a doping scandal involving doping but was covered up by the Spanish government.
I dont agree with "on average a footballer is tested every 3.5 years" i imagine most professional footballers are never tested while some (at higher levels) are tested yearly/biyearly. I think the 3.5year statistic is potentially misleading

Bayerns player look like they are on steroids. Many players which came into the club lately gained a lot of muscle in short time for example goretzka and coutinho when he was on loan
No mention of Operación Puerto. That situation stunk to high heaven, and suggests at links to Barcelona and Real Madrid. Amazing the consistent performances that certain players were able to make week after week for multiple years running in La Liga, Champions league, and for Spain. Another astonishing omission is the undercover camera revelations of Dr Mark Bonar, a disgraced Doctor who doped Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City. Amazing how this story wasn't headline news and didn't result in any clubs getting questioned, let alone titles getting stripped or players banned.
There are many players, particularly those in their 30s who are still going strong, that I’m very suspicious about when it comes to performance enhancing drug use. It’s more than diet, exercise and good genetics.
Can you do a video on Swindon Town's time in the late 80s-90s? Bet it will be an interesting story with the cancelled premier league promotion, redemption 3 years later etc.
He doesn’t do ‘weights’ but does do a lot of cable work which is in effect, the same thing. However his stature is peculiar; and I agree that genetics can’t be the only answer given he was pretty thin back at Barca B before heading to Villa and then Wolves
I remember him talking about how many pushups he does, and of course there's plenty of gym work at his club. I think he just answered the question in a way that made sense in his head but seems nonsensical to everyone else
It's almost mindboggling! Every other sport has some allegations on the use of PEDs but not football.. I love the game but after this video, I wouldn't be surprised! Why not! With all the money in it and against Blatter's point, just one player with enhanced performance can change a game... nay, an entire season! Thank you Tifo for this material. I've read a lot about doping and it is widely practiced in football, it is just the Omerta that keeps things quiet. Even Zinedine Zidane was linked to having blood oxygenation procedures back in the day when he was playing for Juventus I remember.
Zizu even "suggested" the treatment to Ronaldo while coaching because of all the benefits
well ofc he took something at Juve, look at him he lost hair as soon as he joined them lol, while their whole midfield got grey hair, Jugović was 26 yrs old in 1996 and looked like he was 40, even tho he was literally known as baby face and kid at Crvena Zvezda and Sampdoria before(check him out from then, it seems its 10-15 yrs space between him at Zvezda and Sampdoria and Juve lol)
Nah no one uses it
I also want to wonder what caused a fit Eriksen to have a heart attack at the Euros?
Additionally, there’s has been so much controversy surrounding the Spanish doctor serving the 2008-2012 Spanish teams (Fuentes).
It’s also not a secret that so many athletes are using pain killers and etc that wouldn’t be accepted by other sports regulations.
Finally thank you! God knows how many times I tried to explain this to people. By the way I m holding a congress speaking to students of physiotherapy on this subject because I myself am interested by this topic. I’m have a bachelors degree in kinesiology and soon in physiotherapy
It’s all about marginal gains these days. Guarantee most top clubs have been involved in this regularly (probably with the use of loopholes).
I think this is your best quality video so far guys
Weren't the all the players names at the mugshot scene from the PES game where Adriano was insane?
I swear seeing Valeny and Espimas at Merseyside Red.
They're Master League Team's player iirc. I know for certain that Valeny and Espimas is.
Someone's got to raid Bayern ASAP

Nah fr tho
They're 100% doping if guys in the ufc can get past USADA than anyone can get past the lazy testing in football.
that explains goretzka's body transformation from skinny kid to big buff man so quickly
Cheats
Just look at Leon Goretzka gaining massive lean muscle mass while maintaining the same cardio performance in less than a year
tbh its not in less than a year, pic of skinny him ppl mostly use for comparison is from 2018, however he still is very sus imo

Blood boosters like EPO is almost certainly rampant in football.
It’s the most effective for football and also the one most difficult to test for. Currently rampant in boxing and MMA right now, and the way pressing has become such a thing is so suspect to me.
One day we'll find out that Leicester's shock PL win was because their doping shipment was mistakenly swapped with Chelsea's.
100%. The only thing it had in common with a 'fairytale' was that it wasn't real
32 year old Wes Morgan recording record sprint speeds, whole squad going from recording the lowest running distances to 2nd highest in the league virtually overnight. The EPL had no incentive to ever expose it though, was great for the 'greatest league in the world' narrative
@@andymacdonald9494 tbf, refereeing in that season was shocking. Absolutely handed the title on a plate to Leicester. So many undeserved penalties that won them games and so many opponents robbed of penalties. If you can do anything you want to in the box, your defenders will shut out goals.
I think both the graphics department and the TIFU lawyers deserve a shout-out for this one.
i always knew something was up with the Russian National Team in the 2018 World Cup
Spain was robbed!!!
They were playing in their country when others were visiting a weird country. It's like a huge home advantage. Nothing too crazy. And what do drugs even do in football? Increase speed, stamina and strength. That's it. Those qualities alone can't win you anything.
@@RohitKumar-hi4qf Spain shouldn't be complaining considering their past 'allegations'
@@shambhav9534 If you're tired or if you're not fast you can't use your technical skills as good, and pretty physical players in lower leagues can get a huge advantage. When the ‘Doping in Football’ story breaks it’s gonna be huge!
No it won't. As long as football fans refuse to question their teams nothing will happen.
As an amature endurance athlete, I've seen my fair share of doping in sports, done by minority. I can imagine what goes on when there's millions of Euros involved. The only way is more frequent blood testing, even though that won't solve the problem to 0%, it goes a long way. ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Im balding at 16 years old, definitely possible
What do you think?"
The question isn't if football players take PEDs. The question is how much, the game demands it and either you take them or you don't play even 2ªB.
I love this channel with my all. Joe Devine you're the best.
Surprised they didn't mention Andre Onana in this video
Yea, thought he’d get mentioned when it moved onto the “banned stimulants” section
Yeah he's the most recent
The substance he got caught with literally is stupid that he got banned.
It holds no performance enhancement in anyway
@@lionheart3429 But it's on the list of cover ups, if I remember correctly.
Just wanna say the music at 11:03 is a great choice for the atmosphere of the video. Awesome
Would be nice if you could also do a video about the use of "legal drugs" like painkillers in football.
Brilliant voice and the quality of the videos in tifo football is something that no football channel have.
This might be the best video I've watched to date, the insight is awesome
Loved the PES master league names.

@@2shmad2k10 nope it's 100% true
Klopp is well known for doping. He does a three season on, one season off. That's why Liverpool got so many injuries last season, during their off season. They're back on the dope this season, you can see it in their higher intensity pressing than last season.
@@karl343 Hahah, one thing's for sure, you're definitly on drugs.
So Valeny played doped, that's why he was performing nice even though he was old when we get to use him on Master League
I know about the Spanish national team and Pep's Barcelona and all the cover ups and doctors offices burning down but it's pretty obvious that almost every club does it now. The level of athleticism in the game is increasing far too quickly to be natural.
Shout out to all the combat fans who know all about these drugs 😂😂
just remember sterling's body when he left liverpool in june and his body when he started his first game for city in august.
The Pep effect 💉
He was signed under pellegrini…
I agree. The transformation that Goretzka got during the first lockdown is impressive even for a natural bodybuilder that have practiced for years.
What was it Dortmund coaches said about Haaland - "he has put on so much muscle in such a short period of time it's almost unbelievable"
@@Pax_Veritas haaland looks natural, very possible to get his build if he just worked out during the pandemic + he was 20 at the time. Goretzka is 28 and looks way too pumped up
Colours at the end (e.g. 12:25) seems to show what the reporters want to say but cannot and many comments say is missing ...
One of ur best vids
Now i get why hulk stayed at zenith 💪💪
He was already a beast at Japan or Porto
I was just taking to my buddy about how football doesn’t seem to ever have these kinds of scandals
Because it's not in the media's intrest to have these kind of scandals - they're raking it in from the football gravy train too.
Testing is pretty relaxed too

Tifo, you missed out on perhaps the most famous case.DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA

I think Maradona was sniffing amphet during USA 94 probably not for performance enhancing reasons...
Ever since the 1996 UCL Final between Ajax and Juventus, I have always assumed that if things smell fishy, then it usually is... And if you look at the recent re-hiring of Riccardo Agricola by Juventus, you must always be suspicious of a pervasive drug culture continuing in football.
@Michael Jordan almost the entire juve team was on doping
@Michael Jordan Google Riccardo Agricola for a start, so I am not saying anything too libelous. I remember that I had never seen a football team so fresh in any final before. Especially when I remember one of the great 90's teams (Ajax) looking totally knackered. It was like seeing Dorian Yates' back for the first time!

As magical as it was for Leicester to win the league i always questioned the ridiculously high levels of fitness all their players had that year.
And then look at all the bigger clubs, they have to be doing something mad
Sure there was an article in the Daily Mail during that season that linked drug use to Arsenal and Leicester. Think Chelsea was the 3rd club mentioned. Got put under the rug (or bought), plenty quickly afterwards
Don’t mention Klopp’s asthma sufferers who out-ran, out-jumped & out-intensified all opponents for 18 months solid with remarkably few injuries. 63% of the squad registered as asthmatic.
I recall boxing pundit Paulie Mallianagi being asked about Manny Pacquiao & his ability to maintain his punching power through several weight divisions & into old age, “If it looks too good to be true, it usually is”.
steve peters works with liverpool and he is coincidentally heavily involved in cycling which is the king of doping lol
It's the wet dream of the Daily Mail, they won't mention anything dirty in England (current) because it's only those foreigners who are at it
And they didn't mention that Pep still uses the doctor that got him banned at all the clubs he's managed.
goretska had to have bene on the special pills between 18-20 the guy trippled in size
Phenomenal reporting. What a channel! Thank You 🙏
Barcelona and their connection to doping hasn't been talked about.
Non its true
There is years that they were no tests in la liga
Dr Fuentes(of Operation Puerto) worked with Liga players but no names were ever released

A great and informative video once again
I remember reading in the late 90s that Juventus were using creatine. Zidane and Conte were both in the squad at that time
Creatine isn't a PED. It is perfectly legal.

The daily content you guys are churning out is excellent. I came originally for the unusual in depth analysis, and stayed for everything, including the personalities. More plates more dates has covered how a lot of football players can and have got around drug testing
no mention of Mourinho's 'Doctor Needles' comment before Inter vs Chelsea in the 2010 Champions League?
One thing you can be sure of: none of the current Arsenal players are taking performance enhancing drugs.
MIND BLOWN!
Interesting. So Pep has history of getting out of punishment via technicality.

He doesn’t do ‘weights’ but does do a lot of cable work which is in effect, the same thing. However his stature is peculiar; and I agree that genetics can’t be the only answer given he was pretty thin back at Barca B before heading to Villa and then Wolves
He's just delusional and thinks that just because u don't use a barbell or dumbbell, you're not "doing weights"

I'm not saying that Ronaldo/messi/lewandowski are doing them but to say the entire sport is clean. Utterly insane!
