No worries! Currently I can’t really offer mix templates simply because I don’t have all the DAWs. I think mix templates only work if I can make the template compatible on all the major DAWs.

Great video! I just purchased the sampler and was wondering if there is a way to route out the direct mics, room samples, and overhead samples separately into your DAW? I usually like to process my room sounds and OH sounds separately so wanted to see if that was possible. Thank you in advance!

James thanks for this review, really enjoying watching your content. I have same incidentally sampler plugin crashes while working with samples during playback and some times it happens when doing some tweaks, like adding extra samples and Mixing drums. Did report to Drumforge, bought new power supply, SSD hard drive, installed system from scratch and it doesn't have any improvement. So there something like memory leaks in a plugin. Own and using Drumforge Classic and Drumforge Bergstrand, running it in Reaper 6 under MacOS Catalina.
Thanks for the detailed and informative video, it can help a lot. As for the Savior: I haven’t had time to test it in detail yet but the factory presets alone weren’t really convincing me and I liked only a few snare drums (it's subjective) plus there could be more toms. Apart from this I agree with you. Overall I consider the Savior to be a good drum library because of the versatility and it's definitely a progress after Bergstrand as you said. Thanks for your presets! :)
Maybe an amendment to your idea on the Overhead micing technique. What if they made the OH techniques different faders with a grouping option between all the cymbals and shells? Would like to know your thoughts on this.
Hi James..As you know we have 3 licenses available, I bought the Classic Ultimate and the Savior but i need to install in another PC and on the website the options to dowload again is gray out and unavailable. Witch is ridiculous. Dou you have some information where i can download the exe files again to install on my new PC? Thank you very much...btw i wrote an email support and allready 2 days and nothing, not very good custommer support i must say..Apreciate your help.

Im new to the Drumforge samplers and after watching this video i decided to buy it. Does it have multiple outputs (to the daw) the sampler? i couldn't find anything. Great video btw.

from what ive seen these are my only complaints 1) the groove midi packs they sell seems to only be used for the Bergstrand sampler. imo all their samplers should be abled to use them. 2) as far as the song builder goes i dont see any way of changing say a groove thats normally 4 bars to something else like 1 bar, 2 bar, 8 bar, 12 bars etc. also i dont see no way of changing say the tempo. If a groove is say in 4/4 there is no way of changing it to 1/2 which would be 2/4 or 2x like you can in addictive drums.
Totally valid points! The Groove Builder is a new thing and I would assume the team is still actively working on improving it. It's a small team at Drumforge from what I know, so big feature rollouts take time. There is a way to change the tempo in the groove builder!
I have SSD5.5 and personally I think Drumforge Savior is overall a better sounding library, at least for the work I do. They are both great options, but do keep in mind that SSD doesn't have any mixing capabilities.
Interesting! I don't really do Metal at all mostly the alt rock.. pop type world (But I never say never to any style as it helps us grow). But the price point for Savior is intriguing. (with the past customer discount) The mixing capabilities do seem pretty nice. I have always been that guy who has always treated Drum programs as if we were in a studio environment. So I would create separate tracks and route audio like you would have on a mic'd drumkit to seperate channels. With the in depth mixing features within drumforge I can see a world where I did basic drum mixing and even cut back on how much I route out of the program directly into busses for processing. It could clean up the projects potentially moving forward. I really appreciate the response. You have given me a push into moving forward with Savior this go around. Big props to you and I am glad to have found your channel. Just subscribed =D
@@justingambino2186 Full disclosure, I'm a lot more familiar with Drumforge's libraries in general than SSD's, simply because I rarely find what I need in SSD libraries, so there's the element of bias in my opinions haha. That being said, I do think with the current sale price, DF Savior would probably give you more bang for the buck. You simply get a lot more control over your drum sound with Drumforge Savior. Plus, that alternate hand sampling really makes a HUGE difference in making programmed drums sound human. Glad you like my content and thanks for the sub!

Drumforge Savior is so sick. Definitely agree with you about the chinas though. I wasn't a big fan of Drumforge 1, so I wasn't too excited about this library at first, but it's quickly becoming my favorite drum library. Cool video, I really like how much detail you go into in your videos!
Yeah, to me this is definitely the best Drumforge library so far! I actually really love the crashes and chinas in Drumforge Classic haha. I always try my best to go into details in my review videos rather than just demoing or tweaking knobs. My goal is to give people a good idea what's good and what's not good about a product, so they won't get nasty surprises if they do end up buying it.
Hi, the redline happened at the track level, which doesn't clip the audio since most DAW runs at 32-bit floating point. The master is the one that can clip the audio, and in my session the master wasn't clipping.

Yes you can :) check the mixer tab, you have output choice there. Be sure to enable all the outputs in your DAW.
In the bottom of the fader there is a little arrow pointing to the right. It opens all mics and rooms in separated tracks.

I would say the Classic might be better for those genres! Savior is a bit too punchy for those I feel.

I love Drumforge products, but i stop buying from them because they dont fix the bugs.
Have you reported the bugs to them? Their support is pretty responsive when I reported bugs.

I don't think you can? Unless you just remove that cymbal as a whole.

Yeah that's a pretty good idea! Joey said on Instagram that we can also use presets to avoid going into every OH channel to change it.

Have you tried reaching out to them via Instagram? Whenever I email DF support, they replied within a few days.

Not a whole lot actually! Mostly just EQing. Didn't even use compression on the snare or the kick!
