Just picked one up. Something to note for the new guys. Make sure the grinding wheel is centered when you tighten the bolt onto it. Mine was slightly off center and I didn't notice. Didn't get a good bite and the grinder came flyin off straight down. Luckily I was being cautious and it came down with nothin bad happening.
Thank you so much for your description on application and removal of the blades! It is very helpful! I just bought the Ryobi and am planning on cutting some metal tubing and corrugated metal for my rabbit cages. Thanks again!
Just FYI .. Ryobi indicates you should NOT be using a Type 1 cut off wheel like the Diablo shown here. It's a safety hazard and Ryobi specifically indicated only to use the Type 27 center depressed similar to the one that comes with the grinder.
Ummm... do you always mount your blades backwards? Like you did with the Diablo metal cutoff blade there. The one with the arrows showing the correct direction... lol.
When I had to take the bars off my house, I simply ground the head off the anchor (which you could have done with the Ryobi provided grinding wheel) and the bars popped right off. Not sure why you felt the need to cut the mounting tabs off to remove the bars. That ruined the bars and you probably still ground the tabs off the wall. And you used an un-safe blade to do it while also damaging the brick facade. This was a demonstration of how not to do it.
Helpppp 😂 I bought a 4” diamond blade which is much thinner and I definitely installed it all wrong. The blade like fell off while I was using it. I’m cutting tile. Now I have 3 pieces. The two black pieces and then a little gold ring? I can’t find my manual and can’t seem to figure this out 🤷🏼♀️☹️
Try going over the video again while installing the blade on yours -WITHOUT BATTERY!!- Then try looking at the manual steps in reverse, you may catch the step you're missing this way!! I hope this works for you, please advise!
Junk...........the corded version is 10x better simply for one reason. You can rotate the handle. Try cutting stones, bricks, pavers with the cordless version for 20 minutes. You'll feel like you have a broken wrist from holding your wrist sideways. Not an issue with the corded version. Very disappointing they chose to do this with the cordless version.
@@Bigwill080 Probably too harsh saying Junk, it isn't junk, I love Ryobi line, just not as good as their corded version. Battery doesn't last long enough for large jobs. Will need multiple batteries to keep working.
Hello Bigwill080 will, I did purchase this RYOBI P-421 grinder recently and it says in the safety section (pages 3 & 7 - English) NEVER attach a Type 1 straight grinding wheel and absolutely never use a cut off wheel of any type. This is a low speed unit and is only to be used for grinding (with a type 27 grinding wheel), sanding, wire brush wheel or for polishing. Please read the manual so you can be operating it safely. Angle grinders are very dangerous and protection equipment should always be worn when using this tool. Download the manual if you don't have it, I beg you, read it all.

Yes, Sir I did know that but it worked and I employed the proper safety equipment. However, I appreciate you advising of this fact.
Thank you!

I don’t usually install a blade while holding a camera and narrating. I think you get a pass for that one!

Wow, just be careful and please wear your safety equipment, it's not worth it. Thanks for sharing and subscribe.
Hey thanks! Perfect!
I'm glad it was of use to you!!
My blade is slightly wobbly, and I can't tighten down onto it tight enough for some reason.
Try another blade that one may be bent or defective! It's not worth getting injured!
Pls let me know how it works out when you get it fixed👍🏽

So, why not drill the bolt out that is holding it to the bricks? You could just cut that bolt head off too and not mess up the bricks.
+Bob Dole You’re right but I thought this was quicker.
Type 27?
Sorry your response went over my head, please clarify, thanks

Same with P4221 18v angle grinder (part of $199 six brushed tools kit), pg8 Applications; grinding metals and sanding wood or metal surfaces.

Don't buy the Diablo cutting blades. They are garbage.
They did OK for that job, but which ones do you recommend?
horrible video work. i understand you one handed it but man this video work leaves a lot to be desired
