Be advised....new parameters in equity land.
    A. 10% up front. You want to raise $10 mil...show up with one.
    B. You want to manage $10 mil? You or someone on your team needs demonstrable proof that they have handled that kind of capital allocation /management previously.
    C. Your "Story," and all the other fluff? They don't care. Hard numbers...period.
The structure is ideal for when you're at a place where you need to scale and have dry powder on hand to deploy. But things have tightened up, so be ready for that.

16:00 This whole thesis on Vanguard and BlackRock being the largest shareholders isn’t entirely accurate. They are shareholders ‘by proxy’ of the various index based ETFs they run, and buy/sell when we, the consumers, buy more/less of their ETFs.
Consumers expect an SP500 tracker to contain these companies. They are not just going to remove them from an index tracker as they don’t control the index. S&P decide who is in their index. Not Vanguard and not BlackRock.
If BlackRock and Vanguard randomly started removing companies from their index ETFs
    a) They would no longer be tracking the index they benchmark to
    b) Retail (and likely hedgefunds) would just buy their favourite stock directly via their favourite broker.
I believe this myth was started by Patrick Bet David, and it’s hyperbole. Sure, they have ‘some’ leverage, however framing it like they are some irrepressible force conspiring against the masses is inaccurate and plays into the anti-establishment narrative.
Overall excellent content, and I’m all of the democratisation of wall street, however, there are many other valid reasons that just the above.
If I’m entirely wrong, and off base, let me know!
