Ooooo! Nice!
He was just missing some evoporust
I love HTR''s bucket of Evaporust
ooo! thanks =)
That’s high praise indeed coming from Hand Tool Rescue, love your channel too
Oooooo hand tool rescue nice..
That hammer looks better than ever, good job 👌 i wouldn't use it to hammer, i would place it behind glass in my living room 😉
Dude your work is just so satisfying to me
At last, someone who knows what "Restoration" means! To many of these restoration vid's involve them going ham with an angle grinder and adding some strange flare they think is cool instead of returning the tool to its former new-like state.
He used the grinder too !
I know. I mean how dare they have artistic expression using old materials mixed with new technology. Everyone knows there's only one way to do a restoration and this video clearly demonstrates the only correct way.
That has to be the best refurbish tool video I've seen on these forums yet. Bravo sir Bravo! Your attention to every detail makes the difference.
You’ve hit the nail on the head with this restoration . Fantastic job
Nice! The final product is awsome, the journey is something else! I love seeing old tools some people would just discard being brought back to their former glory.
Wow you really wouldn’t want to use that hammer ever again, looks to beautiful to use.
Steven Watson indeed, he ruined a perfectly fine hammer, now we can never use it again!
Kinda like shining up and waxing a bullet.
now i know what to do with my dremel, which i bought 10 years ago.
You could use it to smash that like button... once.
literally me
*Watches video*
*buys new hammer*
BEAutiful restoration!! Watching craftsmen take something old and make it something new is therapeutic and relaxing!! Great job!
Absolutely beautiful. You like removing all the defects and it shows. Well done.
I think what I love most about restorations is that you rarely have to add much to fix it, its usually just grinding the outside to show that inner beauty! I know they're just tools but I think it speaks to life a little bit. You all have a wonderful day building, restoring or just enjoying life man
Great job. Doing thing like this is so rewarding both watching it being done and doing it oneself.
Thanks for sharing my friend.
These videos are addictive! Strangely, watching the restoration of this hammer reminds me of high end auto detailing.
Love when something can be fixed up or repurposed instead of just throughing it our. I find old rusty tools and garage or flea markets and bring them home to bring them back to life or make a welding project out of it. Found a really good large file that I still use today that rips metal down real fast.
Flawless!
Far from flawless. He removed a lot of good metal to do this.
I love the music along with the constant grinding and sanding..
Beautiful. Something very therapeutic about watching these restorations. Thanks for posting.
Watching your restoration videos is so therapeutic & relaxing. Thank you.
Nice work and finely someone that knows how to do a wooden handle instead of a brass mold
What i admire most is your attention to detail. I've never seen blemishes on any of your projects. Ever. Well done Sir.👏
One of the best hammer restorations I’ve seen
Best restoration ever.👍👍
No previous cracks, no previous rusted marks left. Seems like it's new. 👏👏👏

Nn b,
Waaaaaw I was dreamig
You took a 20oz,and made it an 18oz,,😊. Good job though. Restore, not replace.
This is super cool. My tools were recently stolen, including my dad’s old hammer from the 1980’s.
I ordered a vintage-style octagonal handle the same shape, and picked up an old rusty hammer head the same design as my dad’s hammer, to make my own as a tribute. This video will really help me with this project.
That's cool I'm trying to do a hammer head customization into a handle for a walking stick, haven't got any power tools besides a grinder .....I like doing things how out grandparents probably did them by hand with files and sandpaper
@@kiwiprouddavids724 that’s cool, man! I’m definitely not that patient. Power tools for me whenever possible.
Beautiful craftsmanship
This is not simply a restoration....this is love!
I bet this will be your favourite hammer forever with all the work put into it
That was one of the best restoration videos I've seen. You truly went from rusty piece of crap to a beautiful, brand new, professionally crafted hammer. Very nice and thanks for sharing.
Me gustan mucho éste tipo de trabajos. Son excelentes.
This is so relaxing watching this! Great choice of music
Never expected Ronda the following words about a hammer but: this is beautiful! Perfect Restauration without any useless parts like a partial diecast held or something, just perfect with simple elegance! Congrats and thx for the share!
There is still plenty of metal and material left to be a perfectly functional tool, great work.
I really like the cold blue accents you applied. Definitely gave me some ideas for my future projects like this. Thanks.
The most impressive part is when you made your own handle! Nice work!
Great free hand sanding/grinding skills
Awesome work !
You have ruined it you removed all the patina and with it all its character. You should have just put a new handle on it.
No, he turn an old Hammer into a new one !
Freddy Doe - i must agree with you on that even though its not as bad as sanding a sword (buzzfeed!) My word its almost idiocy to do that but depending on who you are you might be lookin for different purposes from the tool. Its still not ok to do that to a sword. But a hammer is forgivable.
Oh my God! Awesome! what a great master created such a masterpiece !!!
Beautiful work and great music. Brilliant idea adding contrast with bluing parts of the hammer head. Would love to see you restore a Hatchet or Axe.
This is art to my eyes.
Stunning! Better than new!
What a nice job of giving a new life to an old tool, young man. Make more.

Great restoration! Makes me want to start mine. I've been collecting every hammer, cleaver, knife and hatchet I find for the past few years with the intent of restoring them to a condition for others to enjoy. It's so satisfying to see simply tools be turned into pieces of functional jewelry. 👍
I've juste starting restoring a hammer without any mechanical tools. You need patience but the new look of the tools is a great reward ! The only downside is that you cant get a tool as shiny as this without electric grinder
for some reason ive been watching few restoration videos of old hammers and axes. This by far is the best quality. Great work
Man that thing looks smooth!
Beautiful job Koss, looks stunning, you did a great job on the new handle!!
Красота! )
Wauuuuuuu looks great again 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Outstanding Work!
That's a Great job of restoration I have seen!
Byron Thomas
Just a basic claw hammer expertly restored back to its former glory 👍 what’s not to like great job
Again, Eeee, well done again, it's a great honor for me to see another person with precise attention to detail and his wonderful work, well done and respect from old BG.
Hand-restored. In my opinion, that just makes it so much better than going out and finding a new tool somewhere.
One of the most satisfying videos I've watched in ages
Plain and simple the hammer is amazing. Great job!!!
Fantastic !. What Brilliant Skill. Marvellous Job !.
Isso sim é uma obra de arte
Amazing job...i learned A lot from this video....thanks for sharing...
Hermoso
I’m wondering what is the liquid you applied with the little brush?
Also, did you then remove it after it dried by doing more sanding?
You did an excellent job, but it would have been nice to have a little narration to explain things. Such as what grit sandpaper on the belt sander, substance applied with brush, what kind of wood used for handle, etc.
These things are important to those of us still learning how to do what you did so very well.
Maybe put the info in the drop down menu.
Thank you for sharing this project with us, it was well worth the time to view it.
I think it's called 'Cold bluing'
Ferric chloride.
That was very relaxing to watch. Beautiful
Wow! You have fine control of your tools. I would’ve tried to use the rotary tool on the claw and would have screwed it up. It was an education. Thank you.
Beautiful work and now a fine piece good for another 100 years. Your handle work is exemplary, such an eye for shape and feel! Have you thought of stamping Koss on some of your projects...A most worthy name in restoration and hand made knives! Thank you much for sharing your passion with us.
Did you say 100 years? Boy you must be stupid
Mr Panda yes this tool could easily last 100 years
That hammer looks better now than it probably ever did when new! Great job! :)
Now that is how you refurbish a hammer. Perfect! Thumbs Up!
This is so satisfying, you done all this so perfectly and patiently, god! Thanks!
Nice! I have an old hammer that's about 50 years old, that could use some tender loving care like that. Sounds like a project.
とても気持ちがいいです。
That restoration has no words but wow awesome
Lots of work for a hammer head, but the level attention paid was superb. I have a few old hammer heads I would like to restore. I don't think I will put this level of detail into them, but I'm still impressed none the less.
🎖️🎖️🏆 IMPRESIONANTE Felicidades . Saludos desde Barcelona Catalonia.
My friend you are AMAZING and so is the WORK you do ! 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Muy buen trabajo. Exelente
Muy bonito !
A lovely clean restoration
Very nice workmanship...!
So much satisfaction with this!
Beautiful work
Excellent work. The belt sander is a great tool. I have a old school Craftsman sledge hammer and double sided axe that had a fair amount of rust on them. I used a palm sander, wire wheel and grinder. Then hosed them down with some WD40 and called it a day.
Whoa that’s pretty cool
Wonderful work
Gold hands! Bravo!
Brought back to life and happiness, what a Beautiful Job! Thumbs Up Buddy :)
I don't know why but i feel so relaxed after watching videos like this.
Oddly satisfying I love restoration videos

Quedo espectacular
Good work, also liked that technique!
I'm adding this to my "just chill" playlist
Nice buffering and polishing
Gorgeous finish! 👍🏼
That is one beautiful hammer. Well done!
Lovely job.
a hammer anyone would be proud to use, great job
Great !
The bluing was a nice touch. Beautiful work.
Beautiful job. Don't think I could use that after it was done.
Very satisfying, excellent work, congratulations.
Lol man good job
