Im so lucky girl who found this great piece on the first day of new yr ! Yay! Iv been to florence and this reminds me the memories in florence haha love the sound of viola ! All players very good i really enjoyed ! Liked to hear and watch ppl playing!
When Tchaikovsky wrote this, he must have had more than what we call inspiration. I'm so emotionally touched by this miracle of music as when I've heard it the first time in 1966. I'm still so happy that I can't understand it in this moment as I can't understand what love is up to this date. G-d forbid that I ever will grasp it.
Absolutely brilliant. I didn’t believe it could be played with such fire and vigour. In the Adagio, the duet between violin and cello was beautiful beyond words. And what a fugue at the end!
I'M CONVINCED STRINGS PLAYERS HAVE THE MOST FUN, AND CAN PLAY IN SMALL GROUPS LIKE THIS, AND EVEN FULL ORCHESTRA......AND ALL THE BEST STUFF IS WRITTEN FOR THEM TO MASTER, WHEN I SEE A PERFORMANCE LIKE THIS, IT MAKES ME WANT TO CHUCK MY PIANO OUT THE WINDOW (IF I COULD LIFT IT) .......
Is it my imagination, or do Russian musicians GET INTO their music in a way that too many American musicians used to but don't anymore? Such fat, gutsy playing is a joy to hear. Love this! As for the applause in between movements, it doesn't bother me so much. Maybe it's a cultural difference, but to me it's no big deal, especially in response t such spirited playing.
A most orchestral-sounding chamber work. As he wrote to his friend Ziloti, "It seems that rather than writing for six voices, I am, in essence, composing for the orchestra, and only then arranging it for six string instruments." A beautiful piece wonderfully played.
I'm a composer and I don't mind at all if people applaud between movements. Who the fuck made up the rule you're not to suppose to applaud between movements? It's stupid and contrived and obviously invented by snobs who thought their shit didn't stink. If the people are moved, yes, show your appreciation. I assure you, chaos won't ensue. The composers and musicians appreciate it. Who are we trying to please at the concert hall by not showing sincere gratitude for such moving experiences music evokes. We're humans, not machines.
While I cannot and will not nor desire to, obliterate your opinion and preference, can you really not come to the conclusion that perhaps a complete work is a complete work and is intended to be considered as much? That a piece of music may work very hard, or may not have to, at establishing a mood, an atmosphere, for the listener, for the moment, and that it is possible applause may disturb this? In this sense in my opinion the negative (disturbance of mood) outweighs the positive (the joy of clapping).
The musicians are fantastic, and I love this piece. However, it's difficult for me to listen to it acoustically speaking. The hall they're playing in gives their music a hollow sound. Sigh.

che musica meravigliosa. E da fiorentino l'apprezzo anche di più.

People clap throughout an opera.
you have any compositions?
Your bad language pollutes an otherwise civilised debate.

I love it😗
amazing!
WOWWWWWW
This is a really hard piece - I've played it on viola... but not this fast...
A very good performance. Too bad the audio sux.
Великолепное исполнение. Но третью часть загнали дальше некуда. Басов мне так не хватало в третьей части. Может это запись некачественная?

Pity that they were plying for an uneducated public applauding after each movement. I didn't expect that this could happen in Moscow.
