What about the cap/insert that goes into that hole on the opposite side from where the hose attaches? It can come out, but when are you supposed to remove it? (You can see what I'm referring to at timestamp 1:47.)
That would be the blower cap or exhaust port. If you remove it, you can add your hose and have your vacuum be a blower.
