Thank you for marking down the times. I love the whole album except that stupid ghost of freedom tune.
@@lucanmadramootoo890 you didn't understand the song's message... It's the ghost of the boy's father, obviously it should be something sentimental.
This albums means so much to me. Was one of, perhaps the first, CDs I bought that wasn't radio rock at the tender age of 14. Listening to it now trying to recapture that innocence and purity of pleasure, unpolluted by all the things I've done since then. Just channelling myself. Such a fantastic album.
Same story here, I even improved a lot in english with the booklet at the time... And i even did "grow" a bit more 2 or 3 months after, when I discovered the sound of perseverance...
Dark Saga + Something Wicked This Way Comes + Horror Show = Perfection
Burnt Offerings too!
@@gabibonzaHe listed those fighting for the 3rd place below Burnt Offerings and Night Of The Stormrider.
One of the greatest concept albums of all time. Something Wicked way up there too.

MasterPiece!! all songs in this album are amazing!
This album turned me onto these guys. Loves these guys… 🤘
I can't believe i just found this. Haven't enjoyed metal that much in a long time!!!
Welcome aboard, man. Seeing them on this tour with In Flames Clayman was my first metal show. I've been chasing that dragon since.
May i also suggest Dark saga, my second fav album of iced earth, this being the first.
Eh so what its been out for 20 years already better late than never
So many memories... One of the GOAT of heavy metal 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Mine is driving with this on, my right foot gets very heavy, 2:52 for example
Os anos passam e nada muda, é o melhor albúm🖤
Sensacional!
Short and sweet the best take on the classic genre man I can't get enough of this album I still have nightmares of seeing the movies back in the day hail and listen to this album closely again and again
AMO DE TODO CORAÇÃO ESTE ÁLBUM!
thats very great best masterpiece iced earth horror show classic album legendary of the world. love great best band favorite iced earth. thank you guys iced earth the true power trash metal forever 🤘🎸
Everu time i listen to this album, i discover a new best song in it. After all this years i am still finding it.
This was the golden age of Iced Earth. Burnt Offerings through Horror Show is like their equivalent of Ride the Lightning through And Justice For All: every album a banger, but it couldn't last forever.
MASTERPIECE
22 years later, ghost of freedom is still a banger
Such a Great album and Band !!!!!!
Soundcheck winner about Metallhammer. No words, only real Powermetall from the USA 👌🇦🇹💪🇺🇸💪
Thanks by fullfilled my request , cheers.
Love this album! Awesome 🤘 thanks S. O. S.

Great Album.🤘🤘🤘🤘
Love this cover of Transylvania. Schaffer just makes everything more intense and powerful.
Thats how he'll be describing his showers in Federal prison pretty soon.
@@christopherhuff3123 lmao i thought i wouldn't see this on an IE but glad I did. I've been an IE fan since 2002 but Schaffer deserves everything he has coming
Glad he's been freed today

this album really gets right into it, almost seems to start mid-song.
Don't tread on me... live free or die
To our fallen brothers
You died to keep us free
To our fallen brothers
Who gave us liberty!
I miss Barlow
So deep.......
I hope everything turns out well for Schaffer. Long-Live Iced Earth 🎸
I hope he rots in jail :)
@@frankrin1602 His actions hurt you specifically?
@@joshuarobert4678 Do you mean his attempt to help establish a unlawful fascist idiocracy or his music?
It's yes to both
@@frankrin1602 if you don't like his music any more, no one is forcing you to listen. Why be such a pansy about it?
@@joshuarobert4678 Just uttering my free speech here, I think you'd be all for that?
Whoa, they finally fixed "Im-Ho-Tep" by this point, I guess lol. On the original version of the CD that I had (and every other person's I checked), there was some weird glitchy artifacting going on in only the right channel during the last chorus.
Ok both my dad and I thought we might be going crazy, I think he has an og release and we only noticed it about 2-3 years ago, glad to have an answer finally.
Cuando Iced Earth era Iced Earth.
Masterpiece!!!
wolf intro reminds me of Control Denied which was made by chuck from Death. same two members from those : )
Richard Christy and Steve DiGiorgio are responsible for the monster rhythm section of this album
Охуенный альбом )))) \m/ \m/ \m/
🤘🤘🤘🤘✊👍
the lead singer is so underrated. sad he is not known in mainstream check out 53:39
👊🏼👊🏼
Freeze!!!!!
Richard Christy & Digeorgio both were in " Death" Man this is a Metal Monster.
Frankenstein - Toooooop
I don't understand if you dont like Schaeffer or Iced Earth why are you commenting? Most of us here are just trying to listen to music we dig without political overtones. Anyway always dug the Paul Stanleyesque vocals on this lp.
Did Matt Barlowe sing for Demonsn& Wizards?
Could we get some cavalera cinspiracy
How did this past so many?
How a human beeing can listen to this drum part at Wolf's intro and don't check for the drummers name? Richard Christy
I would describe these guys as thrash, rather than power metal, listen to Gamma Ray and then this, there is a distinct difference!
funny you say that, because i thought something similar .
years ago, I used to be a huge Slayer fan and certain website's algorithm suggested Iced Earth to me, based on my preference of Slayer and thrash..
when I heard Iced Earth, it made Slayer look like . . .well, I still like Slayer, but ever since then, half my online identity was been Iced Earth fandom.
Iced Earth don't sound like all the other "power metal " out there. i love power metal , but a lot of it all sounds the same.
There's also a strong Iron Maiden vibe to their sound.
nobody sounds better than this band.
but given current events, i have to rethink it all. . .
Power Thrash
@@Femaiden I've only find this genre about 6 month's ago (omg where have you been all my life!) and from what I've heard of power metal they definitely are more on the heavier end. But I think they lyrics just enough of the power metal formula to put them in power metal. I get why some people see them as thrash too.
gamma ray is not normal power metal it is MELODIC POWER METAL or simply just MELODIC METAL (like helloween hammerfall stratovarius ...) iced earth or manowar are power metal. us power metal bands are more this direction while european power metal bands are more this melodic stuff
The last time Iced Earth was awesome.
And relevant.
I kinda get what you mean, this is where they peaked. The albums after this were good, but never better than this.
Idiot
I think The Glorious Burden was their peak, despite losing Barlowe.
but given my recent discovery of Jon's political views , i have to rethink the entire meaning . that album will never sound the same to me again
Paul Stanley and KISS but with balls :)
why ?
@@elarquitectogamer8367 Matt barlows vocals sounds very similar to Paul Stanley in certain places..
@@haydennettleton3272 that's true !!! The first time i hear Icead, i didnt know the name of the band and ussuallly calls (en español) little "Kiss" guy/mancito Kiss.
I think that is not a bad description
now I can't unhear that.. thanks 🤬
Daimenando is absolutely ridiculous. The other songs are masterpieces in their own right, but that one takes the cake.
the previous 4 years have been a Horror Show, nothing but Burnt Offerings . When a certain man began his Dark Saga to become a world leader, all i could think was Something Wicked This Way Comes. If this hateful being had his way, we truly would have had a Night of the Stormrider and there would be nothing left but an Iced Earth.
@@drunkduck9854 for clarity , i was talking anout Trump. .and my disappointment that Jon is a Trump supporter. . .
i'm over it now. I get it that metal is political. Megadeth is political, Metallica Justice For All is political, but this album takes me back to a more innocent time, before Iced Earth got all political. this and Dark Saga are my favorite albums
was also, my attempt at a little poetry there, using the names of all their previous albums. . kind of like what Manowar did in their song Blood Of The Kings, incorporating the names of all their previous albums into the lyrics
there's a reason i only listen to the music and don't create it, lol
just a fact ,iced earth dont play power metal ,its more like speed metal ,a speed of their own kind!
Power thrash?
@@nickshades6727 speed is indeed a a mixture of power & thrash, but its not the classic speed metal as i said "a speed of their own kind"
Que pena que o Schaffer virou essa reaca estupido, um puta musico foda
Jon Schaffer did nothing wrong.
Storming a federal building is pretty bad, not exactly "nothing wrong".
@@ChristopherGray00 trespassing is a crime but its not like hes a piece of shit who robs pregnant ladies at gunpoint or anything
I wonder what his crew thinks about him turning witness protection on them....
@@geekstomper5562 are you trying to justify blatant murder?
@@ChristopherGray00 what? who did jon murder? i didnt hear anything about that
Jon Schaffer in the Capitol was.... a Horror Show! :/
Scaffer 2024! Lets get him in there legally.
@@itchykami just think of all the great music we'll get after he's a long timeout in federal prison.
@@ehmohteeoh Hope they give him a casio keyboard in there
Who cares
Já perceberam como essa musica tem um ritmo meio sertanejo/arrocha na bateria?
kkkkkkk nunca tinha parado pra pensar, talvez 😅
richard christy on the drums whata beast. i dont like metal tho, dont really like this stuff.
This band is a bit geriartic for my taste, like old style grandpa rock.
But ihope its not true that Jon Schaffer is wanted by FBI on terrorist charges, that would be really, really bad for the bands reputation.
Nah. He's not wanted.
He's in custody.
And fully cooperating with the govt.
He did nothing wrong
After " something wicked...." this was a HUGE dissapointment.
are you "MAD"? This is some of their best work! They should have stayed on this path instead of getting political and then doing alien conspiracies. . .
