As a diagnosed epileptic myself, here’s a “fun” fact about seizures. I have grand mal seizures, and when people assume that when you stop seizing and look like you’re coming back that you are back to reality. It’s kind of like when you restart your WiFi router and that it takes a few minutes before it comes back online. Your body is back up, but your brain isn’t sending the signals to the body quite yet. In my cases usually, the brain and body, because it doesn’t know what’s happening yet, goes into a fight or flight mode. I’ve discovered that mine is fight, and I’ve punched and bit my fair share of paramedics & family members when coming back from one. Sounds like what this cat did. Don’t think it was personal, the cat just got scared and did what it thought was necessary to protect itself.

yeah, unfortunately Siamese, Himalayan, and Persians were horribly inbred for that trait. explains the seizures too. convergent strabismus. they have to be crossed eyed to see straight. something to do with the eye muscles being too short or the optical nerve being a little wonky.

Cats are very reactive. To the point that if they're in pain or distress, they'll just lash out at the nearest thing. They're not good at identifying what's annoying them. So a cross-eyed, epileptic cat is just an aggression machine.
It's in distress, it doesn't know why, and it doesn't even know what it's looking at half the time. You could be on the other side of the room minding your own business, but you're there, so you're the next target.
Yeah I was figuring that the seizures might be part of why the cat was so aggressive at everything. It might’ve seemed like the seizures didn’t bother it too much, but it probably would’ve made the cat very confused. I didn’t think as much about the cross eyed bit, but now that I’ve seen someone mention it, it does make sense

I'm getting a black kitten soon anyway and I need to completely move on from Bootsy's death besrky two years ago on her 16th birthday, also I've had a similar experience with a rabid skunk as Tyler did with that rabid fox.

I remember being attacked by a cat when I was young. I'm talking 6, 7, something like that. My family had one that really liked to attack me and everyone just thought this was hilarious. I could always tell when it was coming. The stare, the tail flicking, the fur rising. I figured out the best way to defend myself; a shoe. That was a game changer. Each time he pounced, he'd get knocked right out the air. Took him a few tries to accept defeat. One of my greatest battles as a kid, lol.
I wish i could dislike anti pet people but its shit like this that proves their point so well.
