Excellent instructional video, the player knows how to teach and pass the info onto the student without just trying to fry their skull. Well done here.. Thumbs up
Very good instruction...clear and concise. I will be attempting this when I get home tonight, something more to add to my skills of trying to half as good as people on youtube.
I have to say that is the best explain I ever seen here, some they explain so fast that you cant understand, some they explain so slow, that you loose where was the melody, this speed of explain was excellent , good job brit
Hi Bearscrapinthewoods, thanks for the suggestion! Hopefully there will be one in the not too distant future but if you've exhausted all our 'Slash' DVDs (Learn to play Guns N Roses , Velvet Revolver, Slash & Quick Licks Slash) then check out a free magazine Guitar Interactive Slash Issue which actually has some free lessons in also Slash talks about his Album Apocalyptic Love. All the best! Licklibrary!
Sure, first off you'll want the tab in the description! I imagine the problem you're having is sounding notes with a left hand tap? The key is power, if you look closely, I really come at that string from a great distance to get a good strong note!
one question.. how do you get the adjacent strings to stop buzzing once you are done playing them? It doesn't seem like you are muting them with either of your hands. if I reduce the gain it sounds crap.. if I increase the gain it sounds crap.. if I keep it in between the buzzing of the just played strings ring out loud
as a rule, when I play any note, the higher strings are muted with the underside of the finger and the adjacent string is muted by the tip of the first finger, any other notes are muted with the palm of the right hand. So if I play a note on the G string, the B and E are muted by the underside of the finger, the D is muted by the tip of the finger, and the E and A are muted by my right hand palm. That help?

Brilliant video man.. I love how to go into depth and explain how they approach what they are doing..
It certainly does take some getting used to, but it's a big part of playing the Jason Becker style sweep picking patterns!

The first couple of note before you tab the B string sounds like Pokemon Tower xD
Other than that, Thanks for your awesome contribution.
what kind of guitar is it? please respond im looking for a new guitar at the moment and would appreciate some help :)
did he say a minor key arpeggio in the beging?
and if he did, how can it be A minor??
tab is in the description :)
Could you maybe explain 3:29-3:32 a bit more? The UPWARD tapping lick; I cannot for the LIFE of me tap upwards :O
Nice. I think a bit more Kiko Loureiro than Greg Howe for that one part
FREE AND TAB ???? LICK LIBRARY RULES !
omg how much does someone has to stretch his fingers to even begin with 7 and 12
*O*
I dont see why anyone would need tab the detail this guy gave in the lesson...if u do u probably shouldn't be attempting this lick
I suck at sweep picking so watching these videos makes me feel inferior lol
WTF was that. COOL YEAH!
