I'm a bank teller and really love the idea of your teller slips. I wish these would be readily available in all banks / credit unions for our customers to use.
Me either 🤣 I’m getting close to finishing up the website and then putting some finishing touches on my digital downloads and we will be good to go! Can’t wait! 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you so much ☺️ I’m very excited because tomorrow morning is my very first time in my life I’m budgeting and going to the bank to cash stuff my envelopes 🎉❤❤
I think when you have your money put aside and use the credit card. You pull from the envelopes you used from gas and groceries and make a payment within the week while receiving points
Yes, but the problem ends up being that 80% of people don’t end up paying it off. Also, this definitely isn’t financial advice, and I’m definitely not telling people what to do, just sharing my experience and the research that I’ve done ☺️
This is what I do but I dont do cash at all. I have adhd and it's too hard to keep up with. I put all of my money in a savings account so I cant touch it and put things on my cc so I can get points, then I move money from my savings account to the credit card and pay it off as budgeted. All of my bills come out of my cc. I usually have at least 20-30$ a month or more accumulating in points.
Right now we have more month than money so no cash stuffing but the plan is for that to change real soon and in the meantime we’ve figured out all income and expenses and at least know exactly where we stand! This is so great!
I want to thank you for this video and your patience to explain the process!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 I was searching for something like this! Simple sweet to the point!! Thank you ☺️ I am new to this, and it looks like I’m never going to to have anything in my sinking funds to grow!! However watching this video gave me desire to continue patiently and firm to what I have already decided to do!! Thank you ! Can’t wait for your shop to open 😄
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! It makes me so happy that this video blessed you! You CAN do it! My shop is open! It launched on December 16th! YAY! 🖤
Hi Emily, very informative video. I am excited for your shop to open!. I wish you continued success on your financial journey and UA-cam. Thank you for sharing . Have a nice day 💜 🌻 🤗
@@theaestheticdollar honestly! The supplies looking as pretty as they do has certainly made me look forward to my budgeting journey. Thanks again for taking us along your journey also!
Hi new subbie here :) this is The most simplest, to the point budget video I’ve seen on UA-cam thank you!!!!! Not a lot of fluff, so aesthetically pleasing and easy to understand 😅 Your content is awesome thank you!❤
Love your videos! Had to go back to my history to find your vid/channel bc couldn't find you again when searching yt 😂 too many $ yt vids ahha! But you got a new sub and love your aesthetic 🥺 it's so simple and I like how you explain things especially the snowball debt part bc I didn't know that method
Everything I needed to know. I'm organizing myself to start trying cash envelopes but I was a bit lost. I imagine you go to the bank every time you receive your money, right? Do you have a video on how to get a month ahead on your money? Thanks a lot! Also your clean aesthetic calm my financial nerves and I appreciate it! 😊
We are self-employed and pay ourselves once a month, but I cash stuff weekly, so I go weekly to the bank to take out the cash for it! I’m not a month ahead yet, but when I start that I will make a video about it!
Question. Do you only use cash to spend money then? Maybe you explain more at the end for digital expenses. Do you just put the cash back in the bank for things like Amazon prime? This is the part of Zero-based budgeting that can be confusing to me. I mainly shop online.
I am soooo new to all of this. I do get paid biweekly, my husband gets paid weekly…. Any tips specifically on that? And I see you cut the actual total monthly cost for the bill in half based on the biweekly pay….?
Just wondering why the slips say monthly income, if you are writing down a 2 week income? I absolutely love your system and my husband I are starting this! I just want to understand everything correctly!
Hi! I have a question. I’ve been using Dave Ramsey’s envelope system for a month now and then found your page and a lot of what you do I’ve already been practicing but this helps me see more details. I was wondering when you go to Walmart and spend your sinking funds cash say you buy windex (a household item) and then buy a can of tomato soup (groceries) do you make two seperate transactions to keep the exact amount of money in each envelope? Or pay altogether? If altogether how do you keep cash separated?
Hi Emily! Question: What do you add in the “ACTUAL” column when you’re adding in sinking funds totals? I have the budget binder but I’m confused what to add there 😅
Such a good question! At the end of the month you can write what you actually spent! It helps with budgeting for the next month, especially with bills, but also the variable expenses too! 🖤
Please forgive me you have answered his question 1 million times. I’m brand new and my question is once I take all the cash out safe for groceries. Do you continue to track what you spend on groceries as far as writing it down even as much as a candy bar if you’re using cash? Or do you just write down what you buy with your debit card say the candy bar with a debit card? This is such a roadblock for me right now because I went grocery shopping this morning. I took my cash and the first thing on my mind was do I now write down what I just spent on Your Weekly or monthly income paper? I am so confused I’m a complete.😮
I love your content!!! Also your pages are exactly what I have been looking for! When you start selling them, are you going to sell digital downloads or print copies?
Hi your videos are great!! But I'm still kinda confused on the cash denomination to give to the teller. Whats the reason? Easier for them to count or? I apologize if you have already explained why 🙂
When you do the biweekly budget, did you split all bills in half? What if your may electric bill is the 3rd and you get paid on the 7th but you put all the bills on each paycheck?
I would grab a blank calendar and write down when your paychecks are, and when your bills are due, and then make a plan for which paycheck you were going to use on those bills! Starting out, it might be helpful to make two separate budgets for each paycheck if you’re paid twice a month!
I always recommend making a budget for each paycheck! That way every single dollar has a job before it hits the bank! Here’s how I personally do it because my husband and I pair ourselves once a month: I make our zero-based budget for the entire month, but I cash stuff weekly. So whatever I decide to cash stuff in my sinking funds, I divide that by however many weeks are in a month! For example, if I decide to budget $200 for clothing for February, I’ll cash the $50 each week into that sinking fund 🖤 Hope that helps!
hello! another question, would you consider selling them in different languages? i have portuguese as my mother language but even though me and my boyfriend speak English, it would be nice to be able to buy them in Portuguese to give as a gift for someone who wants/needs it :)
Hey i love this video it is so pleasing to look it and also gets me excited to start my budgeting journey! I was wondering though if you don’t have enough money to cash stuff for all of your sinking goals (christmas, gifts, etc..) what do you do? Do you minimize the amount of your goals, try to cut back on bills to meet all your goals or just prioritize what goals is most important or the priority/coming up (ie. christmas over vacation), if anyone could help me out or have any recommendations that would be great!
Thank you so much for such a sweet compliment! My biggest advice would be to make a zero-based budget and look at your spending habits on your most recent bank account! There is money there that you don’t realize, at least there was for me anyway 😅 I’ve also started side hustles during times where I had more bills than money!
Just wondering how you pay your bills. Like we have certain bills like internet for example that comes out each month from our bank account. Do you put money back into your account for things like that? I apologize if this is a dumb question.
Great question! Right now they’re all auto-drafted so we just leave that money in our account! This is just what I take out to cash stuff for sinking funds!
I would love to cash stuff but I don't have a physical bank so it wouldn't work as I cant pay cash into my bank so I have a million pots set up in my bank account, a second bank account and 3 savings accounts which I use instead lol xx
@@blackbutterfly233ify I’ve never done it so I’m not really sure what people do! I think people save up first to get a month ahead so when they’re actually stuffing the bills, they already have the bunny for the current month in their account. Twice a month, you would divide all your bills in half and cash stuff half of them with each paycheck
Great video, interesting to see how most of the Caucasian people don't have black tax calculated in their budgets. My budget has items like paying school for my siblings, buidling mom's house, and buying groceries for mom's house including daily needs.
