An easy to follow tutorial from Thorne Beehives showing how to make a moulded candle using a TS silicone mould. This mould has a split down one length.
Thanks for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Chireetler Earning Maker Rule (search on google)? It is a good exclusive product for learning how to make candles for fund or profit minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.
Does the mold come already cut or do you have to slice it? Also since sound is bad, it sounds kind of mumbly at times, I couldn’t understand what product was used to hold the wick in place.
Some have cuts and some don't. It depends on the size and style of the mould. We have two videos, one showing with cut and one without. We sell a wick holder - basically two cocktail stocks held together with elastic bands at either end.
Hi thanks for this great video, I have this mould and I leave for 2 hours only done twice and the top has broken on both times, I'm thinking of expermenting with times at the moment then move on to temp
Great Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you ever tried - Chireetler Earning Maker Rule (google it)? It is a good exclusive guide for learning how to make candles for fund or profit minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend after a lifetime of fighting got great success with it.
Did you need to treat the mold with anything to get it to release? I keep reading that beeswax sticks terribly. I’m about to try my first beeswax candle using a silicone mold and don’t want to ruin it. Thanks!
I can't say I am expert with soy wax. It looks like the industry standard is to pour around 135° F. Although some waxes should be poured at a higher temp
if I have ran out of actual black dye what colours do I need to make the the darkest black candles? the male and female figures candles, is it possible to make them at home where where could I get such Moulds or can they only be got from shops?
Hi. Sorry it took me a while to reply. You can buy the moulds from our website. www.thorne.co.uk. We also sell black dye. I guess just use the darkest wax you have to make the darkest black candles

The top is the most delicate part but it shouldn't break. Just gently ease the candle away from the mould.

Hi. No you don’t need to use a release agent. If you do want to use something though, silicone spray works well.
wow! such a great idea! so i can buy a silicon mold and cut it open on one side ? or was this mold cut on the side to open easily ?
+Sam Singh Sorry it has taken so long to reply - just getting to grips with UA-cam..... most of our moulds are pre-cut

Hi- I have a long taper mold. It's quit hard to get it out of the mold in one piece. Do you have a tip please?
Pop it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. It should shrink very slightly and the candle should release
@@ThorneBeehives Will try! Thank you!
