I'm 40, and I live about 600 miles from my siblings and mom. I've been finding it difficult to choose between this or a cruiser to make the occasional trips to visit. Now, thanks to this video and my bad knees, I've made my choice.

This is very much a sport touring bike....yes more emphasis on sport but I absolutely love mine. Sporty enough to hang in the twisties yet comfortable enough to load up some luggage and head out on a long trip. I've done 1600 miles in a 3 day weekend. Definitely capable of 500+ mile days with ease. This coming from a soon to be 40yo.

    Hey, I'm 38 and did a 450km trip (280 miles) the other week on 2006 fz1n.
The experience was very noteable, but indeed draining. I was dead tired the next day -- the wind, knee positioning and pain in the butt got me.

Next day to Le Havre along the coast. And today by Deauville to Le Mont Saint Michel. I am in a hotel 7km from there. Took some photos already. It's not a sports touring motorcycle. It's a naked. However, I have toured on my FZ1. The leg position is cramped. But, you won't be riding more than about 100 miles without stopping because of the small tank and bad gas mileage. Lots of short breaks.

Standing on the pegs for a few miles gets rid of any cramps etc...for a while at least until you stop for gas, which is often since the tank is not very big and the FZ1 loves to be caned which is not the greatest fuel economy but does help you get your inner hooligan out.
