Like most musicians in his spot a damned good multi-instrumentalist, but for the first time and until the end of the first 20 years of NIN live a BASSIST first and guitarist/keyboardist/etc second. They *never* would have been able to pull off the bass-intensive "Letting You" or "Discipline", the Upright Bass sections of the "Ghosts Set" exampled by "Ghosts Piggy", or the bassless-on-record songs from "Year Zero" such as the amazing pick-fuck groove of "God Given" without JM-J.
..this guy has a really odd signature instrument..been wanting check out the Music he make..this Not what I expected...bit surprised..not in a bad way...kinda sounds nine inches...
Joyce Sanders JMJ has been Becks bassist for over 20 years, performed every kind of music imaginable with him. His playing on the songs “Paper tiger” and “Dark star” is virtuosic.
Coolest bassist of all time.
Awesome bass player, love the opening bassline in this video!
That is some seriously hardcore tambourine action from Trent.

JMJ - so underrated IMHO

He was great in NIN - much more soul than Geordie who (as always) looked infinitely bored every time I saw him with NIN.
