Year later and I'm still having fun going thru your awesome videos! I love Caustic too but Brock, I haven't actually looked yet but if you happen to see this comment, do you have any tutorials on the 8bitSynth? I still don't get that thing haha
Ive tried wrapping my head around that 8 bit synth but there just isnt enough info out there for me to understand it. The only info available is the one video the developer did on it and it helps to understand it better but I still cant fully understand it to do a video on it. Ive tried looking on line but there really isnt anything like the one in Caustic that I could find. Glad you're enjoying my videos.
I analyze the 8-bit synth with the modular's scope sometimes,i'll be sure to share my findings when they become consistent enough, but the potential's definitely there and i love how a lotnof times using its signal to fm modulate sine waves reproduces what i could almost call a cleaner version of that same signal like the brustep preset used in the Welcome demo song xD

Saw your comment on the caustic modular 808 tut vid where the guy was all angry for no reason and then had to find his phone to look up the patch.... 😂... Anyway... Do you might have any idea when Caustic synths will get Audio Unit support? I really would like to be able to record them in GarageBand, and I'm thinking about getting another DAW on my iPad. I heard that all the iOS music apps would become auv3 audio units at some point... That's all I can find though, it's pretty much stuff just saying at SOME point but not giving any kind of a date or time frame. Also I heard that the apps who's developers do not adapt to auv3 will no longer be available, so that sucks I'm already mourning Thor and tf7 and tf8! I wonder how many apps the auv3 requirement will put out of business...
I can almost guarantee that Caustic wont update with the plugin requirement. Sucks but I think at this point there will never be an update. You should send me some Caustic stuff you've been working on. Season 2 of send-ins is happening right now.
This should be a new series. Messing around with the modulator and the machine input is one of my favorite things about caustic.
