Details make the difference.. 1) the oil must be warm ,because this will help the flow. 2) when is almost finish the oil to flow add from the fill hole some quantity of new /fresh oil to "push" the remaining old oil to come out .(this method must be done even if we change brand name or use the same company of the oil). 3) must be checked the drain plug to the magnet for any small parts .this will reveal if we have problem with our gears.. 4) the gasket of the plugs must be replace always with new. Toyota and not only Toyota declares to the manual that this part is not reusable. 5) Both plugs must be tighten to the specific value and this is 37Nm for the manual transmission box R150F , 2.2 liters SAE 75W-90 , API GL-4 or GL-5 , For Auto transmission A343F Dry fill 10.1litr , Drain and refill 2.0 litr, ATF ATF D-2 or Dexron 3 , Drain plug Torque 20Nm, And for transfer case plugs 37Nm for both M/T & A/T 1.2 liters
The automatic transmission oil change is to drain and refill by dipstick? Mean automatic transmission dont have refill plug on top of the drain plug so its simple ?
Hi, thanks for all you videos. Just a small question my plugs for the transfer case and the gear box are really tighten and hard to remove do you have any techniques ? Thanks a lot and keep on doing your videos
Hi Armand sorry for the late reply reception has been lacking where we have been. Try using a breaker bar or piece of pipe as an extension. Be careful not to strip them!
Hi Victor, if you are working the transmission hard on an hour long hill climb I’d imagine it would be the oil overheating. Definitely worth changing your oil. If you drive in these conditions regularly it could be worth installing an external transmission oil cooler which will keep your temps down. If you are on Facebook join the mighty 90 page. In my manual transmission I used Penrite Trans Gear semi synthetic 75w-90. I did a google search and this came up as recommended for the auto box. www.penriteoil.com.au/product-selector?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxdDvyuSz5AIV1IBwCh3xNQCmEAAYASAAEgI8j_D_BwE

Can you please tell the quantity of the oils, Transfer case, gear box and two diffs. Thanks
I have tx 90 series. Thinking about to change the automatic gearbox to manual. Have you ever done it? Is that possible at all?
I haven’t done it but anything’s possible with some fabrication. I believe the crossmembers are in different locations...
Good luck with that
Hey brother how often u change oil for both. Chur chur🤙🏾
Hi bud I change mine every 30000-40000 kms. I’ll change the oil on the earlier side if I’ve done heaps of hard driving, water crossings/ towing etc 🤙🏽
Where are the Stabilizer Sway Bar Links from????????
When i travel for 1 hour in a climb road the A/T temp oil is on? For you, what is the possible problem?

Another brand may work better? I’d be inclined to extend the standard ones 30-50mm. Might be an option worth considering
