I LOVE every movie of him - they are such good entertainment - just because of him, that's for sure! Am 71 and still love him tremendously. Grateful forever to him for every song he produced. They make me happy and lift me up each day.

Even if the movie wasn't that great, we got to see Elvis!!! I once had over 2,000 pictures of him. Went to his movies at LEAST once. Had all of his records. A loyal fan! The King of rock n roll met the recently ex Great King and the Queen of Thailand at Hollywood studio while Elvis was acting the last screen shooting for this film GI Blue. I was around 8 -9 y old at that time. The following year my family and I watched this movies at our best theatre in Bangkok, Thailand. The theatre was crowded for few months till the very last day. My eldest bro., a teenager at that time was Elvis diciple so he always listened n humming Elvis songs n this made me his follower too. In Thailand, my country, almost everyone had known Elvis since then till now. We like him n his incomparable voice. Of course I have other favorite singers but each one at a period of a time except Elvis and afew others, they 're my favorites of all time.

ELVIS as we know got so FED UP with the films as they were becoming the "SAME OLD STORYLINES" but they made MONEY because the FANS were paying to go and see them. ELVIS could sing a Nursery Rhyme and i would love it. It was just the way he was - A PHENOMENON - he had bucket loads of CHARISMA EVERY person who saw the films would come out of the cinema HAPPY. Alot of people knock his movies, and so did Elvis. I like most of them, some are my special faves, as this movie is. I like the bright Technicolor of his movies that were made in color, and they are also cheerful, feel good movies, like The Love Boat tv show is. Why knock something that makes a person feel good? I watched many of his movies when I was a child, during the early 1970s, but have watched my faves as an adult. Elvis is as great a singer as Dean Martin and Sinatra.

Yakovism Bless you, you were only 3 when he died. It truly was a heartbreaking day. I was doing dishes and heard it announced on the radio while the adults were outside talking and sipping tea. I was 12. We all ran inside, I was excused from dish duty and we watched as much news coverage on regular tv as we could. There was no cable or satellite tv. Then, there were four or five main analog stations.
Yakovism , I was 18 years old. Just joined the Air Force in May and after getting out of tech school went to choir practice. It was a sunny, beautiful Tuesday when Susan, a choir member late for practice ran into the room and said that Elvis died. I laughed at her, some told her that wasn't funny, others ridiculed her so much that she got angry and left the room. After practice I went to the barracks dayroom and watched the news. It was true. I called my father and cried and cried. My sister played " Girl Happy" for me over the phone. I felt better. Now in 2016 David Bowie, Patty Duke, Prince, etc. have left this world too. It's so hard to measure the huge void these and so many other wonderful people have left us. I surely will miss them.

G.I.Blues was one of my fave movies of his. I liked the technicolor system used in his color movies. I watched all of his movies on tv, during the early 1970s. I was 16 when he died, and felt so stunned when I heard about it on my radio. The announcer's voice was so serious-glum as he stated "Elvis Presley has died", then there was some silence.

Alot of people knock his movies, and so did Elvis. I like most of them, some are my special faves, as this movie is. I like the bright Technicolor of his movies that were made in color, and they are also cheerful, feel good movies, like The Love Boat tv show is. Why knock something that makes a person feel good? I watched many of his movies when I was a child, during the early 1970s, but have watched my faves as an adult. Elvis is as great a singer as Dean Martin and Sinatra.

Yakovism Bless you, you were only 3 when he died. It truly was a heartbreaking day. I was doing dishes and heard it announced on the radio while the adults were outside talking and sipping tea. I was 12. We all ran inside, I was excused from dish duty and we watched as much news coverage on regular tv as we could. There was no cable or satellite tv. Then, there were four or five main analog stations.
Yakovism , I was 18 years old. Just joined the Air Force in May and after getting out of tech school went to choir practice. It was a sunny, beautiful Tuesday when Susan, a choir member late for practice ran into the room and said that Elvis died. I laughed at her, some told her that wasn't funny, others ridiculed her so much that she got angry and left the room. After practice I went to the barracks dayroom and watched the news. It was true. I called my father and cried and cried. My sister played " Girl Happy" for me over the phone. I felt better. Now in 2016 David Bowie, Patty Duke, Prince, etc. have left this world too. It's so hard to measure the huge void these and so many other wonderful people have left us. I surely will miss them.

G.I.Blues was one of my fave movies of his. I liked the technicolor system used in his color movies. I watched all of his movies on tv, during the early 1970s. I was 16 when he died, and felt so stunned when I heard about it on my radio. The announcer's voice was so serious-glum as he stated "Elvis Presley has died", then there was some silence.
