Probably the best thing young men can do is drop video games and social media it might sound radical but it will hold you back in life whether that being your education, work, etc you will feel a little disconnected but once you finally realize how bad social media really was you look around and just see a bunch of people addicted to it and its honestly sad because they are capable of doing so much yet do so little(coming from a 15 year old)
I completely agree. As a video game addict who thankfully made it through to adulthood before getting hooked, I can say with confidence that if we put the time and effort into music, art, school, or any other skill, we could easily become one of the best people in that discipline. Video games are built around the addiction cycle, where life is often just hard work.
Online game teams *can* be a healthy social outlet, but it isn’t a substitute for being out in the world making friends in your community.

I agree and made adjustments. I only game while doing fasted cardio on my spin bike in the early morning for about an hour while everyone else is sleeping. Been doing that for 20yrs. Doesn't take away from my day. I still have social media but I turned off ALL my notifications back in 2015. It's been liberating!
@@thechillmaster5836 I can understand but I run with the mentality where its like "if it wont help me then there is no sense in doing it" and I used to play a lot of video games and yes those times were fun but it held me back in my education and I wouldn't doubt if I was in the working world it would've been the same and my view on gaming and social media might be controversial to some but I just view it as a form of procrastination and something that holds people back in the world and the only thing I think of when I play video games now is that exact thought
Social media should be deleted. Games are no harm. I rarely have time to play anyway

One of the best things I did back in 2015 was turn off ALL my social media notifications. It's been liberating! I can focus on work, family, and my training. I still game but it's only while doing fasted cardio on my spin bike in the early morning while everyone else is sleeping.
I don’t consider myself a “young man” anymore, but after alot of years of being enlisted military, I decided to go back to college. I had to take a step back, analyze myself, and think about what’s important.
Everything you’ve mentioned in this video are things I’ve learned through tough lessons, but it’s great to hear it distilled down this way to share with my younger classmates. (They often ask about the clothes I wear and the way I carry myself. The channel definitely helped!)

After University and in my first job I bought a house at 22 years old without parental help, split from GF of the time as she was not interested in anything but going out spending her salary and renting near the nightlife. I focused upon work, gained extra income and explored every new-topic and training I could touch. Spent holiday time working upon the house or just doing extra work, in the first year I made extra payments on the house loan the equivalent to 5 extra months payments. Promoted to a junior management role by 25 years old, youngest person in that job in the company, ~25,000 employees. Moved on after 10 years into the banking sector and never looked back. As for getting lost, maps are worth having they require no batteries nor network connectivity and are not a street-crime target, although holding a map open studying it does highlight as you a "lost" tourist.
I love getting advice from someone more experienced in life. So many of these influencers are like a year older than me. Love this❤
