Mostly no - there's no point in them in the UK (lots of water tables are too high to get a decent basement without fear of flooding and/or problems with ground cables) - most do have lofts/attics though.
This programme is such bollocks. I mean, I'm in this game, and the number of amateur investors I've seen lose money on doer uppers as they call them is huge, but on this programme, miraculously, everyone makes very handsome profits. NO. It's not that easy to make a profit of 65k or whatever on a 200k property. There is supply and demand at play, and lots of very experienced investors to compete against at auction. Especially now, with the higher stamp duty, it's become even more difficult to turn a profit like that. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it.
