- Hurricane Milton made landfall on Florida’s west coast as a Category 3 storm. The storm has already produced heavy rain, flooding and a deadly tornado outbreak.
I pray for the homeless as well . The unseen and unreported.
My sister is from Tampa. They sent busses and shuttles and moved the homeless people to shelters. For the most part, they are safe
Also the poor animals
@guess2899 Animals are allowed in shelters. Many communities have animal shelters already, and these can be used for emergency purposes as well.

I'm also worried of the animals (farm, wild and pets) besides people. It really breaks my heart.

Cant imagine how terrifying. I live in vegas first year here so was not used to the wind storms of 35mph last spring those were scary enough with trash cans flying into our home and constant creaking of your home. I cannot imagine dealing with 100 plus mph winds along with rain and flooding i don't know how anyone can even sleep or be calm under those conditions, especially if you have little ones. Prayers for those who couldn't make it out

I'm from California an excuse my question if it sounds ignorant but with the homeless population out there when the hurricane hits where do the homeless people go do they have special places or something for them to go to because it would be awfully sad to see them outside having to hunker down or finding a place to stay themselves?
They have many shelters set up in communities in the path of hurricanes. Most homeowners, as well, go to shelters that are concrete buildings.
Yea, there they actually help the homeless, unlike California who profits off of them.

Okeechobee is way better in terms of tornadoes and real estate prices. And traffic. You get double the quality of house and yard in Okeechobee at half the price. Its only 30 min inland but people think its 300 min or something lol

I have been worried about this, what a horrible storm, there was too many tornados to keep track of them all, ive never seen something like this and i live i Oklahoma i Tornado Alley, we have tornado outbreaks throughout a day, but ive never seen 15 or more tornados on the ground all at the same time, they are more spread out over time with no more than like 5 at the same time on a bad day i Oklahoma. This is horrible, I hope most people inland got the warnings in time, it ramped up out of nowhere. Im praying 🙏

The fatalities occurred in an area where people weren't warned actually. It occurred over 6 hours before landfall on the opposite and southern coast of the state. The tornado risk was underestimated and the range of the tornado risk was not as expansive as it ended up being

Are these images computer generated? I've just spent 8 hours on a livestream where 2 guys drove around all night in the storm, and it's been mild! They were around that stadium with the roof blown off, but apart from that and a car abandoned, there was no other damage. They had cnn begging for photos of the damaged stadium because they have nothing else!
