With transporting a manufactured home it’s almost impossible to not have any sort of damage these houses are not well built in the factory they are thrown together really fast and they flex and pop and creak but that’s just part of it especially going up a large grade like that so most likely there will be damage but if the set guys do what there supposed they will fix it after the set up these houses are have drywall inside and it will pop and crack on steep hills

Fellow Brit here, first time I saw one of these houses I thought * Prefab * the sort that were built just after WW2 to solve the housing crisis. Fun fact they were only built to last between 30 & 40 years. A friend of mine was living in one in the late 90’s, hers was built in ‘46.

Any haulage company worth their salt would have asked for plans showing access to the delivery site especially when you'd already told them they would need a bulldozer to get it up your drive, no need whatsoever for the driver to get shitty with you. Glad they managed to get the job done in the end.
A delivery company worth thier salt would have test driven the delivery to see what obstacles needed dealing with. Small trees and large trees removed just to be sure. Dozer on site ready before the building arrived

My son and his partner are 23 and just bought their first home. A new build. People have been so rude to them because of their age. It’s so sad when they have worked so hard and have really good jobs. Big congratulations to you both ❤

I can understand the frustration from the delivery crew who were mostly very good and achieved their goal, i understand the dissatisfaction of the customer hearing the crews gripes, and insults, what i dont understand is how America has not heard of modular construction. I have moved a few static caravans in my time but never something that big in such a dodgy location. Its in and we all know Dimples is not someone to insult.

I drove trucks for 15 years over here in the UK. All different shapes and sizes, and roads like yours are everyday occurrences with our bendy country lanes. Oh mate, there's nothing quite as life-changing as your first home. The feeling of freedom you get from being able to do what you want when you want is priceless. Congrats on achieving house, hope you have many happy years with it. Must say these delivery guys should invest in decent equipment. I grew up in a town with an engineering company that did prefabrication for heavy construction (bridge parts, oil rig section etc.) so I've seen bigger, heavier items being moved around in worse conditions (also on country roads and hills) but they used trucks with height adjusting truck/trailers (to keep the load as level as possible and clear obstacles) and steering axels on the trailer as well all controlled from the cab or cable control for decent viewpoint. What those guys have is really only meant for nice wide, level paved/asphalt roads. Even the bulldozer was a mid size at best not really designed for what they were doing, didn't even have a counterbalance weight for the front end. As for the driver he needed a swift round of South Park roshambo.

Must say these delivery guys should invest in decent equipment.
I grew up in a town with an engineering company that did prefabrication for heavy construction (bridge parts, oil rig section etc.) so I've seen bigger, heavier items being moved around in worse conditions (also on country roads and hills) but they used trucks with height adjusting truck/trailers (to keep the load as level as possible and clear obstacles) and steering axels on the trailer as well all controlled from the cab or cable control for decent viewpoint. What those guys have is really only meant for nice wide, level paved/asphalt roads. Even the bulldozer was a mid size at best not really designed for what they were doing, didn't even have a counterbalance weight for the front end. As for the driver he needed a swift round of South Park roshambo.

Sadly, the level of service the delivery company provided was far from satisfactory. To speak and behave in such a manner is not only unprofessional but down right appalling. We all become frustrated at work but do not act like that. And to use words of that nature is shocking. I would leave a review on their website (if they have one).

So glad it's set but double check the outside for any damage as they didn't seem to care about anything. I would certainly put in a complaint about the way he spoke about Anna!! There was no need for that and he needs to be taken to task about his attitude. You are ultimately paying his wages so do let that slide.

My palms are sweating watching this, Dude !!! If that was my new home my stress levels would be through the roof, I honestly don’t know how you seemed to stay so calm. I mean whenever I need work done on my house and I get workers in to do it I get so paranoid that with all the banging and clanging going on that I think what they do will be ok but the rest of the house will fall down.
